Jaras Hua Hin Restaurant is a Thai fine dining restaurant located inside the InterContinential Hotel Hua Hin. The restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients and modern cooking techniques to reinterprete Thai food. The restaurant was very cute, and is very suitable for romantic couples. We came for the 5 course tasting menu. The star of the menu were the amuse bouche, the scallops, and the pork short-ribs in nam tok sauce. Some slight nidpicks with the default tasting menu. First is that there were two beef menu that were prepared with sous-vide base that may be a little too similar. The tom gla with fish was a little off. Could be more dense and served with rice as the main, or could be served steaming hot as soup. Service was very good and we were catered well by K. Cake. We enjoyed the meal. Will be back next time in town.

We ordered the set menu, and all the dishes were very unique and flavorful. Khun Cake provided phenomenal service and catered to our every need. She was super friendly, which only topped off our dining experience.

SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND It is seldom I come across a restaurant worth mentioning in a review but when the experience is brilliant or ‘JARAS’ should I say, then I like to share it with the rest of the world. Jaras is the perfect place to take your friends to drink, eat and talk but most importantly experience authentic, beautifully presented contemporary Thai food. The restaurant offers a chic seductive Thai crafted atmosphere with wooden carved backdrops and a modern sophisticated touch. The restaurant’s discretely impeccable service perfectly complements the cuisine and the moment you walk through the door you are warmly greeted by the staff with your every request being met, an attentive service, yet never intrusive. The ethos of JARAS is stated throughout the menu, “authentic, sustainable, traditional and local”, the kitchen and the service team are proud to name each and every product in the dish and where it originates from, farm to the table! It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about taste and texture. It’s about the perfect organoleptic balance. It’s about identity. My friends and I were set to sample the 5-course menu, whilst my wife decided on the a-la-carte. The florilegium of taste and presentation made this culinary experience second to none. The balance between flavors and texture, the authenticity, the presentation combined with the friendly service and the chef’s explanation made this evening absolutely memorable. And to this I would add “I’ll be back!”

Had a wonderful time at Jaras Huahin Intercontinental. Stefan and James were so hospitable. The restaurant showcase traditional Thai food in a modern and creative way. Wine pairing elevated the gastronomical journey to the next level. Had an eye opener with the local wine. Highly recommended.

The best restaurant in the town. An exceptional fine dinning experience that we never expected in Huahin. The team provided excellent services and put together a very tasty menu. Came here based on the reviews of the 5 course tasting menu. Whist I enjoyed every course we had, understandably the menu had changed. Shame as I know I would have preferred the previous menu more. Overall still enjoyed the experience, atmosphere, food and wine pairing.

I really appreciate the good service. and methods for creating various menus Including the presentation method that is very impressive. Food served in bites Delicious and presented with wow factor in every dish. But when it comes to the main food, which ours is mok choi and pork hong. I must say that we may not like this style of taste. Hom Mok: bland and spicy taste. Moo Hong: oily, bland, and sweet. And the dessert part at the end, I can't remember the name of it, it looks beautiful, it's steamed dough, round shape, like a cupcake. The powder is green in color with a yellow center. There is coconut milk poured in spots. I will say that the dessert feels very bad, has no taste, is hard, has rancid coconut milk….. If the food taste can be improved, it will be very good. Because the shop is beautiful and all the employees are lovely.

Excellent classy restaurant. However as a hint. Get the tables outside by the pool. It’s just a nicer environment than inside. Which I found to be a bit stuffy. The food is great. Service is excellent. It’s pricey.

We really wanted to love Jaras. As we were staying at the hotel (one of the best we have ever stayed in, service, breakfast and location were incredible) we decided to come after the kids were in bed. Our host was incredible, couldn’t have been more accommodating, kind and knowledgeable with the menu. After studying in Australia for a long time he seemed overqualified for the job (but still humble!) and you could tell he was a professional. They let us sit outside in the glorious evening, it’s just a magical location. The food was just not great, and some dishes were better described as very average. The wagyu green curry was incredibly bitter (the taste balance was waaay off) and the complimentary passionfruit and crab appetizer was overwhelmingly tangy, like not in a good way. The pandan dessert was sad looking. Highlight was the mango sticky rice with its gorgeous presentation. We expected this to be better than food in the food court across the road but it just wasn’t. The dishes were inventive but the execution was just not there on this night. Such a shame!

Latest Thai restaurant from IC Hua Hin. Their staff was great, attentive, cheerful. The food was great with a fancy presentation.

Intimate and very welcoming place. Excellent food: delicious and creative, with highly refined combinations of flavours, colors and textures. Special mention for the service of the dining room staff: quick, efficient, with comprehensive explanations of the dishes, sincere smiles and interest in the customer. I was very (positively!) impressed, I must say. The quality/price ratio is adequate for the level of the venue. Simple and well-structured wine list, with very interesting proposals. I will definitely be back!,

Update 2023: Still amazing service and presentation. The food has lost some of its strong and spicy flavours which made Jaras stand out. 2022: Fabulous dinner, well worth it. Great environment and service. This is one of the best contemporary Thai restaurants focusing on local produce in Thailand. The flavours are authentic (not sweet and creamy) and bring out the best in all chosen produce. The beef massaman tasted amazing and reminiscent of the rich flavours typically found in southern Thailand (not the sweet coconut soup typically served elsewhere). The Tom Kha/lime coconut soup with locally caught fish was refreshingly sour and not sweet...as it should be. This is the only time both my wife and I agreed that the Thai food was the best we have had, beating out several famous restaurants in bkk. The amazing service and carefully paired wines made for a fabulous anniversary. We will be back.

Great food that takes traditional Thai dishes to another level. Layers upon layers of flavor in each dish. Khun Cake provides amazing service- spot on recommendation of dishes and the story behind each one. We’ll be back for sure.
