👍👍 I recommend everyone to come and see and learn about the roots. The history of Nong Khai Province is very good.

A few artefacts and a lot of old photos. It doesn't appear to have a curator, but it is a nice building with a wide veranda providing a cool retreat.

Nong Khai Musuem is both free and fabulous. Lots of historical photographs, figurines, paintings and sculptures (see my YouTube and Instagram ...), on display. It is not far from Walking Street and there is ample parking, too. It is a compact place that can be thoroughly inspected in an economical amount of time. Well worth checking out.

Not much in English. But it's free so if you got 30 minutes to spare you might learn something.

It was not open during the holidays last time, but this time it will be open on weekdays. It contains many old local photos and historical information, which are important materials and directions for studying the development of border towns. In fact, this is also an important introduction to this lovely border town. The content includes the current information about Naga Long spitting beads (a hot spot along the Mekong River), administrative heads, well-known masters, as well as the lifestyle of local people, historical buildings, and more importantly, the lives of local Chinese and Vietnamese Record. Since I am a Southeast Asian studies scholar, based on my current exploration and understanding of the local area, the Vietnamese ethnic group has a greater influence than the Chinese ethnic group. Therefore, this place is an important starting point for exploring the area. It is free anyway, so you can come and take a look! P.S. Let me tell you a little story by the way. When there was no one around here, I was touched on the shoulder, which made me feel a little hairy for a moment. However, I emphasize that I am a scholar who studies Southeast Asia. Don’t interfere with my research, and it will be fine! So as long as you are righteous, you don’t have to worry about whether you have something or not.

(Translated by Google) A very quiet museum besides Thais. There are also interesting contents such as the relationship between the temple and the royal family where there were prominent high priests in Nong Khai prefecture, and the chiefs of Kozawa who once ruled Nong Khai (but Thai) (Original) タイ人以外には大変地味な博物館。ノンカイ県内の著名な高僧のいたお寺と王室の関係や、ノンカイを昔治めていた子沢山の首長など、面白い内容もあるにはある(が、タイ語)
