You do not have to get sushi for waiting almost two hours for it. Totally not worth it. You shouldn’t expect for good service ‘cuz this restaurant is too busy, but dishes r tasty and cheap.

I highly suggest if you would like to eat sushi from this restaurant (food is good) that you order take out. In this way you will avoid: 1) Waiting more than 2 hours outside in the heat and humidity to get a seat 2) Continuing to wait outside even when you can see tables available inside, because the servers are planning to let a big batch of tables in at the same time, rather than table-by-table as seats become available 3) A long face from the reservations clerk after you try to walk into the restaurant after receiving their (unnecessary) telephone call that a table is available, but she hasn’t called out your number yet 4) Severe delays on the arrival of half of your food due to confusion between wait staff and chefs because (to quote) “Too many orders were placed at once because many groups of customers were seated at the same time” … (Hmmm, I wonder why that happened…) 5) The waitress suggesting you cancel the rest of your order because the chefs are too busy (preparing for the next day), which is why your remaining food hasn’t arrived more than 40 minutes after you placed the order - meaning you could have waited almost 3 hours to have your dinner, and due to the inconvenience it will cause the staff, you should go home hungry. Overall a terrible experience to dine here, with bad attitude from staff, and no one wanting to take responsibility for the mistakes (ours was not the only table on the night to have these kinds of issues). But preference seems to be given to take out orders. Personally I don’t think your restaurant should offer take out if you cannot properly take care of the customers who have gone there to dine in person, and waited so long to be seated. But maybe I am just old fashioned. PS. We came here on a Monday night, which should not have been so chaotic. Management and systems definitely need to be reconsidered.

We ordered rice, sashimi and other dishes. Food is ok. Typical Japanese, nothing extraordinary or worth noting. Definitely not 4-star. Service is average. However, our dining experience was poor. We were seated next to the door area. There was a very large group of 12 with 6 or 7 kids. Everyone was talking loudly with a table next to ours while waiting to be seated. We asked the waitress to invite them to the waiting area. They did not. We ended up quickly finishing our meal.

Very busy and popular - you will have to wait a while to get seated and more after to get your food ~ all the sushi is very high quality and delicious though! Sushi isn't a high CP value food but you can satisfied with ~500nt worth here and enjoy really nice rolls, caramelized salmon nigiri, and deep fried chicken 🍗

Popular restaurant for sushi in Hualien. Raw salmon sushi was great! Very thick and fresh. Broiled sushi with caramel salmon was pretty awesome! Not too expensive. Service was just okay. There was always crowded so suggest come on weekdays.

The appearance of the food is exquisite. BUT taste-wise it was okay.. the review photos made me want to visit, but after we tasted it, it wasn’t something that we would eat for more than twice.

Biggest Salmon Sashimi Cut I have ever seen. It was huge and taste fantastic. Everything was double the size compare to Singapore and yet same price. We were even given 1 for 1 ramen. For all Salmon lovers, thus is a place not to be missed.

The service was a bit rough while waiting but it’s probably the laidback Hualien style. Food is very tasty and we enjoyed everything we ordered!! Would certainly visit again if ever come back.

food was delivered at very different intervals, so we had to wait for the individuals with the dishes served last (all cooked mains). ordered beef donburi, what was brought to us was chicken donburi. at point of payment, when we brought up that the wrong item was brought to us, the item amount was waived. portions were big. sashimi was fresh and thick slices. tea was just above room temperature, meh.

Cheap and good, but slow cooking. Grilled beef nigiri is very delicious. Salmon donburi is also cheap. The ingredients is fresh and high quality. Hot tea is free and refillable.
