This was amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough. Go here be prepared to have a great time and don't be afraid to participate when you're asked for topics. Definitely a great cast and a pretty awesome crowd. Very cozy setting, very friendly people!

Just Good Fun! You Never Know What's Going to Happen... Because No One Does, Not Even the Actors! They Take a "One Word" Suggestion from the Audience and Create the Act Around It! Only Go If You Like To Laugh!!

The former owner's wife there is a total power tripper. At one point I stood up to her, and she responded by going to to hubby (Justin) to get me kicked out. Justin, being the type of man that he is, after going through this song and dance, acquiesced--of course. I got him to refund all the money from both the classes that I had taken (which were a lot of fun, especially the first one where Justin was not the teacher). Yet I was soon too leave Ohio anyway and couldn't continue in the program. Justin's such a sap! I'm glad Justin no longer owns the place or runs it. He is kind of a jerk. At one point he was bragging about having physically harmed a fellow teammate in high school sports causing him sustained injuries.

Dayton is lucky to have The Black Box Improv Theater. It is an affordable, and fun way to spend an evening. The classes are fun, and I am looking forward to continuing.

Great experience! (SaturdayNight) * Parking can be found in front or across the street at the church. Free in front of the building, church parking has a kiosk for paid parking. *For those worried, you're not selected from the audience to participate. *Grab a drink and a snack from the concession stand prior to the show beginning. There will be a 10 minute intermission after an hour where the concession stand will open back up. Sit back, relax, and laugh while supporting your local artists and local business owners!

This is the perfect place for some original, home-grown fun. It's our favorite place to take newcomers, and never miss the Holiday Improv Musical. Their classes are also excellent!! I do miss the BYOB, but I'm glad the newer in-house bar can produce additional income for this local, small business.
