Joe's pizza is 1 of 3 must-have Dayton pizza places. In my most humble opinion, it is a solid 2nd place of the 3. This isn't saying Joe's pizza isn't FREAKING AWESOME because it is. I love how the pepperoni's hold the grease, freaking awesome. The cheese pull is long and magnificent. These pizzas come out hot!! So watch out. The prices are great and out of the 3, the best bang for the money. I feel like the prices are almost too low for the quality and amount of food you get. If you want some tasty, hometown, Dayton pizza, you must try this place. The parking lot is small and the inside is old-school but it's no issue.

Had this at work and had to bring one home last Friday night. Called in and they warned it would take an hour. That’s fine—just stopped at the new Kroger for pops and ice cream, and picked it up right on time. Lot of good pizza in town and this will definitely go ahead of the chains and compete with Marion’s and Old Scratch. Depends on the mood but something tells me the curled up pepperoni and nice portion size here may pull it ahead.

One of Dayton's favorites that always hits the spot. Their cupped pepperonis are perfect and have a nice salty taste. Prices here are almost a throwback with $1.50 salads and $1.00 additional toppings on a jumbo pizza. Meatballs with marinara were delicious as well.

It honestly tasted like frozen Ellios Pizza. This place came highly recommended but I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the pizza. The fries on the other hand were very flavorful however could have been crisped up a little more. On to the next pizza joint for me.

Joes Pizza: Dayton’s number 1 pizza? Not so sure that’s the case despite its claim to the coveted title. You can tell the employees like to have fun and take pride in the place they work. However, any sense of optimism stops with the kitchen crew. I must admit, upon opening the pizza box I was happy to see the crispy pepperoni everyone seems to embellish. But, we don’t eat with our eyes. So, I eagerly dug in to my first bite. Unfortunately, the pepperoni was the only redeeming quality of this “bowling-ally” pizza. The cheese was a flavorless mass of glue stretched across soggy, shoe-leather disguised as pizza dough. I tried adding hot sauce or dipping the pizza in ranch to inject an iota of life into this utterly boring experience, but alas, my endeavors were fruitless. The god of “bland and bowling” reign over Joes with a heavy hand and the kitchen staff offer up holy sacraments with every order they take. My advice is to save your money and stop funding this zealous cult of culinary mediocrity.

Best pizza is absolutely amazing. My family has a favorite pizza place and Joe's had now replaced them. I drove past Joe's for 3 years before finally stopping in and now I feel stupid for waiting so long. 🤣🤣. The sauce is amazing, the cheese is flavorful, the pepperoni is great and the peppers and onions were generous. We will be coming back.

Worst experience of my life close to 1.5 hours for a dine in pizza !! Priorities are all wrong 99.9%. Are take outs., i will never dine in again 1.5 hours for a pizza to dine in . Really ? if i ran this place i would place diner’s first. Apparently they don’t care about or want people dining in .. if there was a negative 10 yes sorry to say I would accommodate that vote DON’T DINE IN!!! Carry outs are priority so its seems

The pizza was delicious hands down! I love the way they slice it. There was a perfect mixture of sauce to toppings. It was hot and fresh and the crust held the toppings perfectly and stayed crispy! Trust me this is good pizza! We ate the pizza so fast I didn’t get a picture but we topped our pizza with pepperoni, bacon, onion and mushrooms it was three of us and we ordered and ate the jumbo size.😋

Pizza is very good. We got the meat lovers jumbo. Definitely worth it. Would love to try the deluxe next time. Update: Came again and got the meats again lol tried the garlic bread. It was ok. Could use more butter lol still worth it. Felt so tired and exhausted but the food gave me the energy I needed lol

Fantastic pizza!! Ordered ahead and it was coming out of the oven when I walked in. Highly recommend getting the pepperoni! It was 6 min off I-75 and they cut the pieces small so it was a perfect choice for an easy on/off for our road trip.

The pizza is fantastic! Good distribution of toppings and the get the pepperoni crisp. The garlic bread is disappointing, though. Lots of butter, not a lot of garlic (couldn't even tell there was garlic on one of our orders. They say getting it with cheese is possible, but there were maybe 8 shreds melted on the whole thing. Would go back for the pizza, but wouldn't order the garlic bread again. They have fountain and bottled drinks. Refills are not free so they recommend buying a 2-liter. They will provide cups and ice.

The service was great, and my pizza was even better! Plenty of pepperoni all around and they were perfectly crisp! Very busy place, parking is tight, is my only complaint.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joe's Pizzeria, and let me tell you, it was a gastronomic experience to remember. Their pizza is nothing short of delicious; the perfect blend of cheesy goodness, zesty sauce, and a crispy pepperoni topping that adds just the right amount of crunch. The crispy pepperoni truly elevates the flavor, making every bite a delightful explosion of taste and texture. However, my delightful dining experience was slightly marred by an unexpected policy. Joe's Pizzeria charges a fee for using a credit card, and this left a bitter taste in my mouth. Charging extra for credit card payments seems to be a growing trend among merchants, but it's not a customer-friendly approach. In an era where digital transactions are the norm, customers should not be penalized for choosing a convenient payment method. This practice is not unique to Joe's Pizzeria; many businesses are adopting similar policies, affecting consumers' wallets and overall satisfaction. Such fees can accumulate, especially for frequent diners, making dining out a more costly affair than it needs to be. It's essential for merchants to consider the impact of these fees on their customers' experience and wallets. In conclusion, while Joe's Pizzeria undeniably serves a mouthwatering pizza that tantalizes the taste buds, the additional charge for using a credit card left me with mixed feelings. A truly customer-centric approach would be to eliminate these fees, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their delicious offerings without any financial surprises. Let's hope that in the future, businesses like Joe's Pizzeria reconsider their policies, creating a more enjoyable and affordable experience for all pizza enthusiasts.

Some things change, Joe's doesn't. Amazing pizza. Old school business, feels like you stepped back in time. Voted best in Dayton for a reason.

Old school pizza shop. Great people, great food. I even ordered a second one to drive 300 miles back home with.

I've seen Joe's in the Best of Dayton for several years, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Large Deluxe, substituted the Mushrooms for Banana Peppers, and asked for it to be crispy. The said 45 minutes, I arrived at about 45 minutes, and waited at least another half an hour. That is fine though, I wanted it fresh out of the oven. Drove home, it was still warm, pepperoni were curled up like I like. My overall impression was, it's basically a Sam's Club pizza with thinner crust. The outer pieces were better, as I got towards the center, the crust was soggy. Remember I asked for Crispy, I stated No black, but more done than normal. It wasn't bad, but to me there are better local options in town.

Joe's is a family tradition! Even though we live outside of Dayton, this is one of the best places around. The food is always excellent, and the staff is cordial and hard-working. As you can see in the pictures, the pizza didn't last long enough for me to get a good picture 😂 The old-school atmosphere of the seating area is reminiscent of when Joe's opened in 1959. If you are looking for a place to eat in Dayton, you can't go wrong here!

Absolute favorite small town pizza spot ever! Have been going here since I was a kid! I still try to go at least once a month, but it's usually more! Anytime my hubby and I have friends or family visiting from out of town we always take them here!

I have been eating Joe’s pizza since I was a kid! Now my son can say the same! Nothing has changed as far as the quality of the pizza goes and they managed to keep their prices overall fair throughout the pandemic/inflation. I always look fwd to seeing the cashier, Karen! She is always has a big smile on her face as she greets everyone as they enter! I get their spaghetti w/meat sauce & a loaf of garlic cheese bread! Yum! Dining area for eating in and carry out available. Also, have unbaked pizzas available. W/your choice of toppings. Looking for a great place to pick up pizzas for game night? Or family night? Joe’s is a place you must try…That is if you haven’t already?!!! Enjoy! Tell Karen, “Hello”!!

The sauce!! Yassss Joe! I love the small pepperoni pizza! The way the pepperoni cups, the cheese is more than adequate, the crust is perfection and the price is on point with the quality. Quaint and cute, call ahead for the fastest service.

Been eating here for the last 30+ years of my life. Great Pizza with unique little pepperonis that curl up when cooked. Top pizza place on the east side of town and top 3-5 in the area.

NOT as good as Kramers, but definitely better than any of the chain pizza places. The main thing I didn't care for was the flavor of their sauce. Too sweet. Toppings were good, crust was cooked well but didn't have a good "yeasty" flavor. Probably won't go back unless I'm desperate.
