Very large facility with just about every plane you would want to see. The entire tour of the place takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on your pace. Plenty of restrooms. Two different cafeterias and a gift shop with different simulators that you can also partake which does cost extra.

We don't come out here every visit - it depends on the weather, but it's worth the walk outside to see the tower and get a close look at the planes they keep out here.

So many planes they have some outside. It was February so I skipped them. Spent 8 hours over two day and know I missed plenty. The volunteers that run the place are the GREATEST. Honoring THE GREATEST AIR FORCE in the world!! Did I mention it is FREE!

The great new section to the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum. It has a great new feature where you can go inside some of the Planes.

After touring the main facility, I discovered this tower quite by accident, unfortunately after closing. The posted hours for the season stated 9AM to 4PM. Since I had some extra time, I made it a point to revisit the next day at 10AM, but found the building closed anyways. Wish the correct info was posted. The three stars were for having some planes out there.

The fellow working here had a lot of history to share. Cool part of the AF Museum I think often gets bypassed. A real replica of an air tower it used in World War II, it shows a lot of what life was like overseas in an immersive and interesting way. Take the time to check it out, it's worth your while!
