So, this place was AWESOME... but what took the stars down from a 4, was that I stopped in the day before to check it out to see if it was indeed where I wanted to take the grandlittles. (VERY long drive!) They explained the costs, even marking a sheet w/ what I'd have to pay, per person. Next day, we arrive & pay. As we get to the outside part, we're told that the adults need tickets for the parts that we were TOLD previously, that we did NOT need, since we were only watching the kids participate. So I had to go back in & pay more. Then, the snackbar wasn't open....yet they don't allow outside food?! Wth?! We bought drinks just to get some "snuck in" healthy snacks in, in between activities! You're moving & grooving for hours... you need protein, right?! The dig was cool...but for the $10 extra that you pay, they could allow the kids to fill the bag versus "four items!" I mean. Its mostly rock. The climb things were amazing! The outside employees were super kind & helpful...seemed they cared about safety. The walk was cooler than I thought, though the snake warning signs were overkill & frightened my littles. One would suffice to caution!t Inside was really cool & informative! Loved that a real paleontologist was in the lab that day, & talked to my "future paleo!" The movie was NOT geared for kids....SUPER BORING...but no loss! It wasn't extra. Overall, wish there was one in St Louis as I'd return for sure! Edit to add comment to owner reply: I feel that I gave an accurate & honest review for our visit. Money wasn't really an issue, since we were on vacay...but your employee DID INDEED explain it, incorrectly! She admitted such. I specifically asked if we needed the full package, since I knew that my 55 year old self & my 77 year old mom, were NOT going to do the climbs! LOL She stated that EVERYTHING outdoors could be done as a non- participant for no charge & that I'd, of course, stay with mny 4 year old through it all. Not sure why you don't just simplify your rates and add a true "all inclusive rate" without any ala carte items. For the indoor AND all of the outdoor items. Also, re your snack bar closure... my littles wanted FOOD. We spent from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. there.... and milk or overpriced jerky strips were the only real protein snacks that we saw. We didn't know the area will enough to leave and come back... plus wanted a FAST snack/meal so we could fully enjoy our admissions. Im pretty sure CO would allow an outdoor area for picnics & outside food coming in?! I'm sorry that tou weren't more appreciative of the great things and compliments I said about our visit, & over focused on the negative. It's constructive criticism... run with it. Don't make your customers, who all in all, spent a couple of hundred dollars in admissions, snacks, & gift shop items, feel stupid.

Ok, when my wife proposed this activity to do with my 2 years old, I thought: “yeah he loves dinosaurs and I will do it for him. It will be a pain though.” Actually, absolutely not!!! It was super cool and very affordable. They also have a good shop! Very good stuff to do!

We absolutely loved visiting here; it was everything we thought it was going to be! We arrived when they opened so it wouldn’t be busy and could relatively have the place to ourselves. Our son is autistic and has always been interested in dinosaurs. When we arrived he couldn’t stop smiling, pointing and naming all the dinosaurs, and saying ‘wow’ over and over. The place was clean and well kept (very important to me), with multiple activities to offer, including a Dino themed play room that even had dinosaur kid movies playing. How cute!! I personally loved how some of the indoor dinosaur (hanging) skeletal structures moved; such a cool touch! The outside kid play area was better than the photos and the trail was enjoyable. Our wagon didn’t forget best on the gravel trail so if you have a wagon or stroller make sure it’s meant for ‘off roading’. I do wish the dinosaurs moved a bit more when you walked by but it was enough to entertain my son so it’s enough for me. He especially loved the T-Rex next to the obstacle course. I personally didn’t do the course but my son’s father says he enjoyed it. We spent a few hours here and absolutely loved it! We couldn’t help but buy multiple toys and items from the gift shop! They also have their own little restaurant/concession stand. Sadly it wasn’t open when we visited but i think it’s a great thing to have. Overall we would definitely travel to Colorado again just to visit here again! Maybe even stay in Royal Gorge instead of driving in from Colorado Springs. We fell in love with it and how happy it made our son! 10/10 would recommend!

The add ons are expensive but the place is fun. Kids had a great time. Hopefully they can get more funds for repairs soon.

Awesome place for the entire family. Tons of activities for the kids, to include an inside tour of Dinosaur fossils, outdoor ropes course for kids and adults, and outdoor activities to include a fossil dig pit for the kids. Prices are fair, depending on the amount of activities you want to do. Large parking lot, snack bar inside, and great mountain views. Close to the Royal Gorge Bridge and awesome Whitewater Bar and Grill.

Really fun to challenge ourselves a bit by climbing around on the T-Rex Rope Tower. Beautiful dinosaur replicas in the museum and fun photo opportunities!

A great place to visit with kids or adults that want to pretend to be kids. The gift shop selection and prices or better than some local businesses specializing in rocks, crystals, and fossils. The museum is somewhat small but interesting. The ropes course is a lot of fun but I would recommend bringing gloves to protect your hands in the case I slip or fall while holding some of the course ropes. The dinosaur nature walk is okay. The dinosaurs move a little and make noises when activated by nearby motion sensors but are dated and in need of some repair. We were impressed by the crystals and fossils. The highlight of the trip was certainly the rope course. The entry cost is based on what options a person chooses to partake in. The three main separate areas each have their own cost. The museum, they ropes course, and the nature dinosaur walk makeup the overall experience.

My wife REALLY enjoyed the experience. I was worried about that when we pulled up because it looked like it was geared towards children, but she was very pleased. It made my heart feel good to see her so excited and to her her exclamations of "oh wow"

This was a fun, educational, interactive family experience. The exhibits are amazing. The staff is WONDERFUL. So polite, friendly, and helpful. Becky was extremely sweet and accommodating for us. My four year old loves dinosaurs and this was a blast for him. Even my two teens were engaged. I was impressed at the life size replica of all the dinosaurs on the walk..which was so cool. I would definitely recommend and will return when we visit the area again.

What an amazing day going to the Dinosaur Experience! My family and I had a wonderful time. I couldn't believe all the great displays that were here. So many great fossils and bones to look at and enjoy. The gift shop is huge with lots of different items to purchase as Momentos. There are lots of butterflies that can be purchased as gifts too. Employees were very nice and it was very clean. Can't wait to go again!

We had my 7yr son's birthday party here. The kids had a great time. It's a bit pricy but well worth it.

This was such a fun experience. My daughter and nephew's favorite part was the outdoor climbing (I can't remember what it was actually called). I liked that you could pay for whatever activities you wanted to do without having to pay for the ones you didn't. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, they seem to enjoy their jobs.

Honestly, it was pretty expensive for what it was. Our son who loves dinosaurs loved it, but it's probably not something we will do again anytime soon. He's 4, and it was great for him. An older kid probably wouldn't enjoy the museum and the walk. The ropes course would definitely entertain the older kids, but again- that gets expensive. The staff were friendly and well informed. A lot of the dinosaurs in the walk need some serious TLC. The concessions wasn't open which was a bummer. The gift shop had a huge variety though and that was awesome.

As cool as it was to see the museum. I find it to be over priced. Two rooms with fossils, one small room for kids to play in and one room to watch a short documentary. The wild walk was cool to an extent, was hoping for sound to come out when you are in front on the dinosaur, not delayed until you get to the next one in line. The ropes course was cool, with the exception that some of the planks had breaks in them. For the cost of admission, with several people from all over, one would think something like that would have better upkeep. We didn't even bother with the snack area as we were camping near by and figured we would eat when we got done. I would probably still recommend this place to others but warn them about the cost and make sure that they buy the tickets ahead of time online to save a few bucks.

Great museum, and an awesome ropes course that's great for all ages. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff make this place a great experience. And the folks running the rope course go above and beyond on safety, some in my family are not comfortable with heights but the team here made it a great time for all of us. To top it off, this place is an amazing value for the experience. This place has become one of our top local area picks for a family fun day, go check them out!!!

Absolutely great stop! I took my 4 and 2 year old and they both had a blast. They were both free for the Dino walk and museum. I paid $12 each for the Dino dog for treasures. They loved finding artifacts to bring home. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fairly all of the gift shop items were priced-many little things for $1-$2. The snack shop was also very fairly priced! I can’t wait to go back!

Nice facility, with activities for younger kids and older kids too👍 the staff was super nice and helpful if you had questions or to make sure you were safe on the ropes course. If you have a dinosaur lover in your family, I would recommend this place!!

Cool experience for the kids. Takes about 2 hours to see and do everything. Fun for adults too. Kinda pricey. Good thing to do to kill some time with the kids if you are passing through.

It was a amazing place! I had fun looking at all the dinosaur themed stuff. The animatronics are cool and live size. Was a blast being able to look at all the cool facts about different dinosaurs. And the rope course?Amazing had a blast making every obstacle and trying not to fall, super secure also I felt safe while I was there. Seeing all the cool merchandise was also cool, and I saw some interesting stuff there. Overall I would highly recommend if you’re into dinosaurs.

👍👍 We had an amazing extreme tour with the best guides in the valley, Zack and Tarzan. Felt 100% safe the entire time, Zack was super great, very engaging and pleasant, an all around epic dude that I am honored to have been able to zip with a few times. He’s a great leader a look up to in the zip guide...
