    The employees will tell you whatever they have to so you’ll sign the form. Their word won’t have to mean nothing once they have your money. I asked specifically if I would be able to get a refund if I moved out of town. I would’ve never signed the form if I knew I wouldn’t get a pro rated refund back. But when I go ask for it, the exact salesman acts like it never happened in front of his boss…. Just unfortunate, I hope I’m the only one that has had to deal with the money hungry front office.

    I am very disappointed. Although, I saw signs that read keep one machine apart, I was the only person inside wearing a mask. I understand everyone inside isn't talking but there were a couple of guys talking to each other. I love this gym and today was my first day going back since the pandemic has been out, but I'm skeptical about returning. The owner is very nice so I will reach out to him to verbalize my concerns.

    Not a good experience with staff. Manager very rude, chooses who and when to enforce nick picky rules. Also, I've noticed at night it's not a safe environment, especially for women, as a lot of members bring in unauthorized people, non members, in with them during unstaffed hours. My wife never felt safe going by herself. We decided to cancel and find a new gym.

    Called in December to garuntee my membership would not auto renew in January. The guy on the phone told me he was pretty certain contracts don't auto renew and that he would put a note on my account so it definitely wouldn't renew. Just realized I've still been getting charged. Called to see what happened and was told this time that I have to come in person to cancel and that i cant cancel over the phone!! Just another way to keep your money coming and another chance to talk you into staying!...Shouldn't have inadequate employees answering questions and making promises that cost customers money! First guy in December was friendly, the guy today was not. Not to mention they harass you into a contract in the beginning

    I was a member at this gym for about two months. It began as a wonderful experience. I enjoyed that they had childcare and felt it helped my two year old son a lot with his social development because he doesn’t attend daycare. Normally, he would be with the same two workers until Wednesday (11/8/23) when there were two different workers. One he’s never seen before and another who he sees every now and then if they’re filling in. When I came to pick him up, he was laying on the carpet watching tv. The worker was busy addressing a Hispanic couple telling the to teach their daughter to put toys back when she gets them from the bin. At the time, I thought it was really trivial to complain about that. The next evening, I received a call from the general manager saying that he had received complaints about my child being disruptive. He’s only two years old and it’s not fair to label him disruptive especially by someone who’s only been around him once for about 45 minutes. I was very upset because the workers he normally is with have told me that he was good and sweet. He does throw things but he thinks he’s playing when he throws things. When I went take him, the worker was there again filling in. She told me that he had opened the door and ran out, that only means the door wasn’t locked. Furthermore, these two women were strangers to him so I believe grace should’ve been extended to this two year old. I then witnessed her telling the other worker that another child would be “the next to go,” that child was black. She told me that the other workers had complain about my child which made me uncomfortable to leave him with them since they were telling me something different. I asked could they cancel my membership and they refused since I had signed a twelve month contract. I left the gym in tears about the way my child had been treated. The general manager asked me if I would be willing to have a conversation with the workers who are normally with my child. I took the weekend to think and I called him back today to tell him that I didn’t think a meeting was necessary with the workers that he’s normally with. I told him that I believe that worker he wasn’t used to was not patient with children and that I would go so far to say that she’s not patient with children of color. I could very well be wrong in my thinking but from what I saw, that was the determination I came up with. Eddie cut me off and said that he wasn’t going to allow me to continue because that wasn’t fair. Yet he thought it was far to call me, leave a message for me to call him back, then proceed to tell me that my two year old is disruptive. A child who’s been on this earth for 27 months. She was able to make this determination about him after one day, so I should be able to do the same, right? Eddie got really defensive and said he was ending the conversation and my membership, which I had already canceled the card. I should’ve been able to express my concerns and opinions based off my experience instead of being gaslit. Three stars for the wonderful spin instructors.

    I’ve been a member of the Fitness1440 for awhile now. I love everything from here because it’s very neat and clean. Everyone’s are so nice, kind, welcome, and with a lot of respect for each other’s. I love all staffs, Mr.John, Mr.Eddy, all personal trainers, and family members from Fitness1440. I will give referrals to others for how good you guys are.

    Paper towels are always out. Cleaning solution is either extremely low or out. For the first time ever, I actually utilized the women’s locker room. I’m very disappointed and disgusted at the conditions the showers are in. Some of the equipment is missing padding and taped on by black duck tape. The towels that are supposed to be provided are NEVER CLEAN. I cannot wait until my contract is up in July. I’m definitely returning to Planet Fitness I came here for convenience because it’s 5 minutes from my house. I would much rather pay less and drive further and it’s cleaner.

    Absolutely horrible. I went in for a 3 day pass and was fronted by a consultation. I was harassed into trying to buy a 1 year membership before I even tried the gym. I’ve been working out for 8 years and I’ve never seen this in my life. Do not come here, it is horrible. This salesman is evil. He just stared at me when I told him I was not able to commit blindly to a contract for a full year. Know when to stop man.

    Place is great. Trainers know their stuff. Equipment is 1st rate. Classes for every need and open 24/7 for members. If you need late nights or early mornings.

    Sad I had to edit my rating but I’ve been a member of this gym for yearssss. My card on file expired last month and I finally received a call concerning it. I was told that I’m $60 behind and that I would have to pay the $60 to cancel or even continue my membership. It’s sad that a company would be willing to lose a customer over $60 that’s been a member for years and I haven’t even used the member in a almost a year just have been paying. So now I can’t even cancel and I will still be getting charged $40 per month. Make sure if you have a membership here to keep an eye on when your card expired because this is ridiculous. I’ve paid 40 per month for years and not touch the gym so cost is not a problem, just never knew I could go in arrears with my gym membership. I was told if you know the owner as well as you said you do maybe he can do something. Love the gym and atmosphere but no…..

    Absolutely love this place. They’re judgment free, supportive and informative. They don’t try to sell you on a bunch of stuff you don’t need. Love the 24 hr access. All around really good people. I’ll be a member for a long time.

    Joined 10/09. Love it at Fitness 1440. The guys are so nice and helpful. Haven't attended a class yet but hopefully soon. They offer Lipotropic injections and personal training. Everything is explained very thorough, too. Go check them out.

    I have been working in Birmingham for 6 months looking for a place to work out. My friend took me to Fitness 1440 and I have enjoyed going there as much as I can. The employee there and nice and encouraging. Jordan and Micah welcome you with a friendly hello and a nice word of encouragement. They do the same when you leave. For people like me who struggle to keep going at fitness that means a lot. It only takes a second to change the way a person feels about themselves, and kind words speak volumes for me. I do have a Fitness 1440 where I live and I feel like they only want the money and don’t really care about being healthy and in shape. Thank you for having such encouraging employees who care about the ones they are helping. I’ll definitely be back.

    This people will lie to you about how much the monthly price. I was told it was 30 dollars a month and i even talked the them about what it said on the paper they had me sign and they said that was just an initial fee. Now im stuck in a year long contract paying 80 dollars a month. Dont go to this place. They did not explain it even the the owner is sayin on my review that they did.

    Exactly like the other review I was charged over a year because of the employee bullying my wife into membership then lying saying it's one year. Finally find they been taking 34.99 for over a year go to cancel and was told I had one more draft coming out or my membership won't be canceled. Place is a joke don't waste your money there. When I left out to keep from snapping while my wife signed the cancelation these douchebags ask her why we wanted to stop lmfao. Hard to take him serious with his mustache 🤣 Actually your incompetent employee lied when ask about it being one year. It's all a joke but thanks for the professional response atleast lmao. Watch out people. Not confusion just being lied to. Try training your people a little better or something. The confusion cost me several hundred dollars during a time I can't afford that. Read the contract people ignore the bully selling you on it.

    Absolutely terrible customer service. When asking simple questions, the staff would rather dance around the question and distract you with additional jargon. I was really excited to find a new gym home as I used to spend all my leisure hours in a gym but they refuse to be upfront concerning their pricing. Such secrecy concerning their gym does not bode well for their pricing structure or customer satisfaction. That and the staff was rude.

    I absolutely love this gym. The staff have been wonderful to me, at least in years prior, and I genuinely love the feel of the environment and community within it. However, the recent price increase has left me with a sour feeling and a reminder that greed will always overtake the goodness of any business. The cleaning, equipment, and general upkeep is wonderful, but the price increase feels incredibly high, and I simply can not continue using this gym once my contract ends. To be fair, my price was already fairly low due to a grandfathered deal, but it will be gone soon. If you have the ability to pay, then do so. It is genuinely an amazing place. However, there are other places available to work out if the price is your concern. It breaks my heart to know these will be my final months here, but it has been an amazing journey.

    Joined about two months ago and could not ask for a better gym atmosphere. The gym is always kept exceptionally clean and everyone seems to pitch in with cleaning equipment after using it. Nice array of cardio equipment, free weights, and other machines for just about whatever you may be trying to do. The smoothie bar is an exceptionally nice feature for nutrients on the go also.

    I love this gym. I come here everytime I come visit family. It has an old school vibe, and the staff is super awesome. At one point, Alan was passing around fruit to members recovering from heavy lifts or intense cardio. These are the kind of gyms that heavy lifters and power lifters go to. Looking forward to coming back next time!

    This gym sends me text messages every few months for YEARS. They even used to call me occasionally for promo offers. I have never had a business spam me like the way this one does. I haven’t lived in that state or been a member in over 5 YEARS. I reply “stop” to opt out of texts, yet they still come. Thank you.
