I
had
a
7am
appointment
on
Sat
--
during
Quest's
"Peace
of
Mind"
period
1st
thing
in
AM
for
those
over
60.
I'm
74.
It
was
my
1st
time
out
where
other
people
are
in
over
half
the
year.
I
was
very
nervous
but
I
thought
Quest
was
providing
just
that
--
precautions
to
assure
peace
of
mind.
I
was
so
very
sadly
mistaken!
I
had
registered
electronically
&
asked
for
a
text
&
email
when
they
were
ready
for
me.
I
got
one
saying
I
should
report
for
my
draw
of
blood.
Then:
1.
I
had
to
pass
very
close
to
several
people
in
line
who
were
close
together
(no
6'
markings).
2.
Once
in
door
(that
I
opened
with
a
contactless
device),
I
was
amidst
a
number
of
people,
all
crowded
together
at
a
sign-in
table
for
walk-ins
directly
to
the
right
of
the
door!
3.
I
proceeded
past
them
(again,
no
choice
but
to
pass
very
close
to
them)
&
was
stopped
by
the
one
lady
who
was
doing
the
registering
(with
no
plexiglass
shield
that
I
noticed)
&
I
told
her
I
was
electronically
pre-registered
&
notified
to
come
in
for
my
blood
draw.
I
called
out
my
name
to
her
so
she
could
check
me
off
her
list
&
she
took
my
temp.
4.
I
proceeded
to
stand
on
one
of
a
few
social
distancing
floor
markings
6'
apart
(amazing
since
there
was
zero
semblance
of
social
distancing
to
make
my
way
in).
No
others
stood
on
the
circles
but
walked
past
me
and
chose
chairs
to
sit
in.
5.
Since
I
was
texted
to
report
in
for
my
draw,
you'd
think
someone
would
be
at
the
lab
door
inside
that
was
open
&
immediately
call
me
in--
but
no.
Instead
I
notice
a
monitor
with
screen
showing
my
name
indicating
a
7
min
wait!
Other
names
were
shown
with
a
couple
of
them
showing
11
mins--but
theirs
began
going
down
to
5
mins
while
mine
stayed
same
at
7
mins
up
until
I
was
called
in.
I
had
been
standing
there
for
I'd
say
approx
3
mins.
6.
I
was
asked
to
sign
my
name
on
an
electronic
device
put
in
front
of
me
on
the
arm
of
the
chair
where
blood
would
be
drawn,
having
to
use
a
stylus
handed
to
me.
(Do
not
know
whether
it
is
cleaned
between
uses.)
BOTTOM
LINE:
I
was
NOT
afforded
"Peace
of
Mind"
at
the
Quest
Diagnostocs
Lab
but
quite
the
opposite--my
anxiety
level
(after
my
months
of
no
contact
with
even
family)
was
elevated
--
with
good
reason.
7.
Now,
all
that
said,
I
went
to
an
imaging
facility
today
for
a
needed
xRay
as
a
walk
in.
I
was
afraid
it
might
be
a
repeat
of
my
experience
at
Quest.
But
I
am
so
very
grateful
for
the
safety
precautions
they
had
in
place.
They
had
automatic
door
openers,
several
social
distancing
procedures
in
place,
including
chairs
outside
spaced
6'
apart,
6'
markings
on
sidewalk,
also
allowing
only
one
person
in
at
a
time
to
register,
spraying
hand
sanitizer
on
patient's
hands,
glass
partitions
in
place
when
completing
paperwork
once
called
in.
Unlike
my
awful
experience
at
Quest,
I
felt
very
comfortable
that
everything
possible
was
being
done
to
protect
people
all
around
(patients
and
staff).
8.
Quest
could
easily
have
had
sidewalk
markings
starting
6'
from
door
on
a
2nd
sidewalk
directly
in
front
of
the
door
--
one
that
was
at
right
angle
to
the
sidewalk
on
which
people
were
lining
up
and
where
one
has
no
choice
but
to
pass
by
them
to
get
to
the
door
(in
a
very
narrow
area)
where
the
line
started.
If
line
procedures
like
that
were
in
place,
those
with
appointments
could
enter
easily
while
keeping
6'
from
others.
They
could
and
should
allow
1
person
to
enter
at
a
time,
also.
I
am
genuinely
shaken
by
what
I
experienced
at
the
Quest
Lab.
The
only
precaution
was
wearing
of
masks
and
temps
being
taken.
PLEASE,
Quest,
consider
all
of
this
and
take
steps
to
fix
this--please!
My
grown
chidren
tell
me
they
have
only
experienced
precautions
such
as
I
described
at
the
imaging
place
being
taken
at
their
health
care
facilities.
P.S.
I
drove
by
Quest
after
my
Turlock
Imaging
appointment
and
there
was
no
line
outside--it
appears
a
much
better
situation
later
in
a
morning
on
a
Mon
than
during
Sat
AM
"Peace
of
Mind"
time
period
1st
thing
in
AM
when
I
had
a
false
sense
of
security.
Thank
you.
