I've been here a week, and they could not have been nicer. Delicious breakfast arranged for me despite having to leave early in the morning (all set with a the fridge in the dining room) The pool area is bliss, meaning I could really relax. Everyone I came into contact with was delightful and nothing was any bother. Sorry to Ian (owner), but John gets the top marks for arranging the booking and making all so easy! So lucky to get another night here: hurrah!

Tranquil stay at The Bothy 🤗💗 Me and my husband stayed at Burton Lodge the day after our Wedding in June 2019 for two nights. It has lovely grounds surrounding the hotel. We stayed in the Bothy which is completely private from the main hotel. It has a hot tub which just adds to the relaxation factor of our stay. Theres flowers all enclosed in the private garden and a picnic bench. I particularly liked the ambiance the night lights gave off. The bed was a little harder than what we prefer but the pillows were very comfy and the interior of the Bothy was beautiful throughout. We recommend this hotel and cant wait to book it again. 5stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So much potential but not quite delivered. This hotel has a lovely location and feel. First problem could be the result of booking through expedia. We booked a quadruple room with a double and two singles. When we arrived they said they were expecting just two adults so the room was only equiped to sleep 3. This was fixed quickly but I was clear when i booked what i required. The room looked much bigger on the photos on Expedia. Because of covid 19 the breakfast needs booking the day before with all items shown on a sheet of paper. You write the order on the back. Our order got confused, because of my writing, other notes not written by me, etc. It was all corrected at the time, but i didnt appreciate having my order and the descrepencies of the order system discussed openly in the breakfast room. A mistake happened, just correct it and move on......... 7.30 sunday morning a generator starts belting out a loud noise. Work going on on some new buildings. Come on!!!!! This shouldnt be a surprise to guests. My feeling, the hotel owners have a lovely hotel and are trying to build a nice family business but they are focussed on the new buildings and havent quite grasped the best way to cope with covid19 requirements. Wouldnt take much to improve!

We stayed in The Bothy at Burton Lodge. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Lots of little extras included, snacks, drinks etc. The hot tub was fabulous. We opted for continental breakfast delivering to the Bothy and this was great. Hot croissants, cereals, juice, fruit....all delivered in a small basket. A great stay, we'd definitely like to stay again for another special occasion.

Stunning place very very clean beds were so comfy.. very nice owners the grounds are beautiful well kept...Breakfast was very nice..Highly recommended this place to stay...

Stayed in the Bothy…WOW!! Beautiful setting and the staff were incredible.So helpful and friendly.The breakfast this morning was perfect.We will most certainly be back.Thankyou to John for his suggestions on where we could eat,and visit.We both feel very relaxed,just what we needed!!

The main wedding party stayed here last month when my daughter got married . What a lovely , clean and comfy place to stay . Very friendly and most accommodating . My little single room as mother of the bride was so cosy I miss it . Breakfast was delicious . You played a big part in making the whole experience special. I can't recommend you enough . We spent a night at Burton Lodge Guest House over the August Bank holiday weekend and would highly recommend it if you’re visiting the area. The accommodation is very clean, rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The owners were very accommodating and we enjoyed exclusive use of the pool and sauna twice during our stay. The pool / spa area is modern and immaculate. We ate at a nearby Pizzeria, which was also very good!
