As everybody says this place is very good. Honestly the food here does not have that WOW factor. The food was decent to eat. I would say that anybody can eat. Its not spicy or or very plain. However I did not feel that its too tasty as everybody says about it. This place is easy to find not problem, the service was good. When I had been there it was Sunday and it was lockdown so had to parcel my food.

The Taste of the rice is subtle and the Mutton was tender and juicy. Overall it was not spicy it was good. But the curry doesn't compliment the rice. The quantity of the rice is good as well. This is a one time visit place for me...

Hanmanthu pulav as stated is really from 1930 Original. There are 4 Hanmamthu Plulav with color board but this is located inside Mandi Mohalla beside egg shop, As i have already explained this is original and there re other 3 which are not same. They might be relatives but the original taste lies here. Many stars visited here including Rajkumar, Ambarish, Darshan etc Many youtubers, TV food bloggers etc visited but honest speaking I didnt like the rice taste at first. There is nothing much ingredient in pulav. No. Spice, no chilli flavor, the gravy is bit pepper but not upto mark as there is no coconut grvy falvour. Mutton quality is good like boiled mutton, i didnt find the mutton pieces blend in pulav. But mutton boiling quality is good here. Bone can be easily separated from the meat. As per quality the value dont match, bit very costly as name became famous. All meat pieces are not 100 % quality, few are hard but max are good. So the taste of pulav and gravy is not up to mark.

This is one of the over hyped place I had been in Mysore. I tried their specialty(again overhyped) mutton pulav, not convinced with the taste at all. I couldn’t get the taste at all from the rice. The mutton was well cooked, but the rice is just weird one. I would have preferred to have the meat with just plain rice. I haven’t tried their other dishes, so no comments on that. But their mutton pulav disappointed me. Also only few staffs are friendly there, some are rude and arrogant for no reason.

One of the best hotels I ever had. It's awesome in taste and very good dishes. Very reasonable price. This is the only hotel that I would like to visit again and again. Lever fry, mutton chops, mutton fry, palav and mutton biryani with Village soda πŸ₯€ superb... Very good quantity and that too for 1000/- only easily 4 adults can eat. Any dish not more than 160/- . I would suggest to visit only this hotel for lunch and dinner. It is open from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm. Most important Monday is the week off to them. It will be close.

I recently visited this restaurant that had received a lot of hype and was excited to try out their food. The restaurant had a great ambiance and the service was prompt and attentive, but unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. Although the quantity of the food was substantial, the taste was only okay. The flavors were not very pronounced, and the dishes lacked the depth and complexity that I was hoping for. While the food was good, it did not live up to the high expectations that were set by the restaurant's reputation. OVERALL , I WOULD SAY TGAT THIS RESTAURANT IS WORTH TRYING OUT ONCE , but it is not a place I would recommend visiting again and again.

Not the best, but good. Taste dint meet our expectations. Don't fall into the hype that everyone creates. Quantity at its best.. a lot for one person. But you know quality > quantity πŸ‘πŸ»when it comes to foodπŸ˜‹

Really not worth the hype!! I had ordered the famous mutton pallav, the mutton was not that well cooked, the rice was good.. PS, if you're going in a car, there is no parking there, it's a narrow road and parking on the side is a risk.. Overall, if you're in Mysore and looking for lunch, better go for the other Hanumanthu, which is slightly better than this and the taste is same

Very famous joint. Always crowded but you will find a seat. The approach is crowded and it way take some time to find parking. Pulav was nice, the chops were very soft. Full portion is too large for one person. Iconic place, must try

Don't Be attracted for Build up reviews, Ambience Good Maintenance not Best, Palav was good, Best meat quality, over all palav was quite good, Price was very high for that food, service was very slow and need to be improved. Hear lot of hanumanthu palavs don't miss others, hope it may gives you good impression.

They have more outlets in Mysore and a hyped placed. No car parking is available we have to park nearby .we tried famous mutton palua and kabab nothing was good totaly not worth the money recently visited this restaurant that had received a lot of hype and was excited to try out their food. There are four different Hanumanthu pulao places nearby which are not the original ones established in 1930. One is right behind the original one making it difficult to navigate too. The original place will have old photographs as in attached photos. Two wheeler parking is available, but it will be difficult for four wheelers, so it is better to park on the main road and take a walk. The staff are very friendly. We ordered mutton pulao, the pieces are fried and cooked to the right tenderness taste and texture. Pulao rice alone is tasty with the right amount of masala and salt needed for pulao cooking. The quantity shown in the photo is half. So order accordingly. Use a sal leaf plate for scale.

Its a very small restaurant but they served one of the best biriyani which i had. This place was very crowded when i visited. it is a bit hot where we sat but the biriyani is one of the best thing loved it so much if you are visiting or passing through mysore you should definitely go to this place and try out their biriyani. There is not enough parking space on the street dont know if they have any other parking space. The restaurant is located in a small street. Anyways do try out their biriyani its awesome. Also one point to note they serve biriyani in a huge quantity most people won't be able to eat it by their own.

Finally visited this place after a long time and it was a very nice experience. They have a wide variety of options. We tried Mutton palav, Chicken kabab and Boti gojju. All the dishes were really good. Half a portion of palav itself was good enough for one person. As there is no hotel parking space, you have to opt for road side parking and we had to park our car at some distance and walk back.

Their mutton pullav is the must try dish coming to the rice it's all the same for all the pulavs and I have ordered the chicken chips curry but they got me chicken gravy which is too bad not recommended, the rice is called as kushk chicken pullav was not that good the prices here are different so they might be different from what you see on the first glance and the mutton head curry was really good the spice level is here is good and if you prefer less spicy not to opt the other curry they sell here if and only if you want to taste the authentic species of South Indian you can try and there's a parking issue.

First time experience and it was really good. But very crowded place difficult to find a place immediately. have to wait for long. Mutton Pulav is must. If you are a really foodie can finish full otherwise I recommend you to take half place. I didnt find other dishes here that great. only Biriyani/pulav was great.

Hotel Hanumanthu Original since 1930 is a popular non-vegetarian restaurant in Mysore that is known for its delicious mutton and chicken dishes. The restaurant has been in business for over 90 years, and the recipes for their dishes are a closely guarded secret. The restaurant is a small, family-owned business, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. Some of the most popular dishes at Hotel Hanumanthu Original since 1930 include the mutton pulav. The pulav is made with basmati rice, mutton, and spices, and it is cooked to perfection. The restaurant is located in a convenient location, close to the Mysore Palace. There are a few other shops and restaurants nearby, and the bus stand is a short walk away. Overall, Hotel Hanumanthu Original since 1930 is a great place to go for a delicious and authentic non-vegetarian meal in Mysore.

The food was decent. I didn’t feel anything extraordinary as per the hype. The portion size is large for Mutton Pulav. (For us, 1 plate was enough for 2 people). Place was very crowded, so stand near a table to loot a seat.

Living up to its reputation. The best non veg pulav. The meat is very well cooked. Mutton pieces in the pulav are plenty. The quantity is more than sufficient. You should try their goat leg soup. Overall worth every penny you spend. Beware there is another hotel claiming to be the same, but avoid it

Possibly the best non veg restaurant I've visited in Mysore. I had to wait in line for about 30 mins to find a seat as i visited during the peak hours, but it was definitely worth the wait. It was here that I learnt that biryani is actually called palav here, and the chicken 65 is called kebab. It just gave me immense joy to see the waiter put a high quantity of fresh and hot palav on a dried lotus leaf, garnished with some coriander leaves and a piece of lemon on top. It was a treat to my taste buds and was a superb combination of the kebab and palav. The palav quantity is quite big so 1 half is enough for one person. This is the original hotel and i suggest people to try only this outlet

This hotel is special for its pulav. Its a non veg restaurant. Mutton pulav, chicken pulav, chicken and mutton chops are good. The food is expensive we ordered 1 mutton pulav and half chicken pulav with a waterbottle and one thumbs up and also mutton chops which costed us 650 rupeees for 3 people. Also parking is not avilable. You may have to park it on road.

Don’t believe the doubters this is some good eating right here. The mutton pilav is excellent, the mutton chops nice and tender but it’s the chicken kebab that steals the show, one of the best I’ve ever had. I could come here every day and just eat that chicken.

Heard about this place from many reviews and decided to hit this spot. Pulav is the hero of the menu and worth the visit. Wanted to try Kabab with the pulav but unfortunately it’s available only during evening ( I checked in for Lunch ). Word of Caution : Though they call it Pulav, People do also mention it as biriyani, Mutton rice etc. It’s all the Same! Also please don’t go overboard and place full Pulav, Calm down and finish Half and then proceed if you could 😜

They are Really Famous for their Mutton and Chicken Palav. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ I personally Had their Chicken Palav and Chicken Chop curry.πŸ˜‹ Both the items were mouth watering. 🀀 In Chicken Palav Rice was properly cooked and aroma of all the added masala you could taste. The chicken was soft and well cooked. I loved it. πŸ₯° They give Raita and gravy along with it. The quantity was adequate to feel the tummy of Two people. 😁 Great value for money. 🀩 Seats were not that comfortable though.πŸ™ Service was good.
