This was a place to take a walk. The tails were maintained and the views were breathtaking. The wildlife is fun to watch. It is a photographer's dream place for portraits or landscapes. We had a great time.

Great place to go, its family friendly but no dogs allowed. I would give this hike 5 stars but a few people brought their dogs ignoring the rules of the trail. There was a full doggy poop bag left at one area. This is a preservation meant to help bring back an ecosystem that was destroyed years ago. I have a dog too but there is a reason the rule is not to bring your pets to the trail as just their innocent presence could harm this sensitive environment. Enjoy this wonderful hike but ensure you leave your privilege at home with your pet.

Unique and interesting, this park has a lovely set of easy trails. Wildlife and plant life and a view of the ocean. Sad to see so much trash. Great even when raining!

These beautiful wetlands in Huntington Beach are wonderful to visit. Parking is free, and the wetlands are not overcrowded. There are many beautiful birds to be seen here, as well as reptiles and flora. There are 4 miles of trails that loop around the Reserve. This is a perfect place to see nature at its best, and one can find quiettude and beauty.

I have been coming to this location for over 2 decades. from running in college to high school and also just running in general. this place is a wonderful place to enjoy a few miles of relaxation, walking, some hiking, mostly running the trails. The trails are flat and with many wonderful fellow runner along the way The beach trails have always been clean. Well kept. People who come always seem to fall in love with this place. The PCH parking area gets busy on the weekends; the best place to park would be on the Warner entrance. The trails here commence and can lead for up to 4 to 5 miles.

Nice walk around the preserve. This is the main trailhead for the preserve.

Wonderful place to explore with the kids. Mine said it was the best day if her whole life. Critter feeding was great. Hike was wonderful.

Beautiful and well maintained. Uneven walking surface, so may be difficult for someone with mobility needs. Not crowded at all on a weekday afternoon, lots of birds and lizards, and benches with information boards along the way. Mostly flat terrain with ocean views. A great place to visit for walking and/or sitting and enjoying nature.

Enjoyed exhibits at the Visitors Center. A great place to hike out of the summer inland heat with a good view over the beaches. Suggest hiking with the spring bloom; it would be more interesting. Also, morning or late afternoon for more wildlife.

Had a great time with my daughter and her class. Only thing that cut my trip short was the disrespect I received while trying to get directions from the visitor center to the other side. Other than that, learning about the nesting 🪹 , the grass that grows there, and the plankton were very interesting especially since Earth day is around the corner.

Fun visit for some nature, but please make sure not to litter. You can donate, at the entrance, and parking may be tight so you might have to pay to park at the city lot across the street. Fun for the kids, and fun for the family, especially depending on what you see that day. Be prepared to walk on mostly dirt trails.

Went here to take some family pics, we had 8 kids with us. Ranged from 2-12. A lady that works there came over and warned us about the bluff and the dangers of it, told the kids not to play over there. We understood and asked them to come back to us closer to the trail. My nephew was in a patch of weeds, and the worker rudely said that’s not the trail. He took a step over and she said that’s still not the trail, just her tone was off. He was in some weeds within a step of the trail. Either way, we obliged and thought that was a weird interaction but we went on and walked across the bridge only to find a homeless man with 3 black garbage bags off the trail… I guess she wanted to use her authority on someone who would listen.

This is a gem of a place right across from the ocean. Very easy hike with different paths. These beautiful wetlands in Huntington Beach are wonderful to visit. Free parking. Free admission. What more can you ask for. They have a few saltwater tanks that have locally caught fish in them. Local reptiles also in cages for you to look and observe. Even though the reserves have garbage near the streams, it was still very beautiful. Also there are some bat rays in the ocean or lakes. There are many beautiful birds to be seen here, as well as reptiles and flora. There are 4 miles of trails that loop around the Reserve.

If you're a bird watcher, this is a great place to see them! Also a great place to take a jog or walk, despite being right by the busy PCH it's actually quite peaceful. Parking is limited, so the best time to go here is during the week.

WOW! Amazing fish! I thought I'd go for a quick run but ended up staying for 2 hours! The dirt trails are awesome for running - I went 6.5 miles and still had plenty of trail left that I hadn't discovered. Made lots of stops to watch this beautiful striped bass that made it into the bay <3 Then got some water at the conservancy center and they had a gorgeous education area with a little aquarium and stuffed birds. Talked with the newer volunteer who just started during his retirement and he was really a nice guy to chat with. For any runners: There is little tree cover, so prepare yourself accordingly or go in the crepuscular times

A beautiful place to bird watch. You can find all different types of shorebirds Interpretative center is really cool! Lots of live and preserved specimens. The Conservancy does great work preserving this important and vital ecological habitat. It's definitely worth it to take the time to hike around the wetlands.

My mother and I like to walk this trail for our self care. It's lovely and the wildlife is treasured. There is a slight smell of methane but that's what marshes do. Either way take the trail and explore the bunker and things. It's our wetland and we must protect it.

Very easy hike with different paths. Even though the reserves have garbage near the streams, it was still very beautiful. Also there are some bat rays in the ocean or lakes. Also the Cogged stones look like something from DnD.
