    We have been long-time customers here and we will never come back ever again. Very unprofessional practice. Scheduled our dog for a morning teeth cleaning and were told no food/water after midnight the day before his surgery. Dropped our dog off at 8:20AM as requested and were told his surgery would occur in the morning and we would get a call around 1-2PM once he woke up from anesthesia. Hadn't heard anything back by 3PM so we decided to give them a call. They told us our dog hadn't had his teeth cleaning yet and they weren't sure when we could pick him up. Meanwhile, our dog had been sitting in their office since 8:20AM, without eating or drinking in almost 24 hours. Picked our dog up around 5:30PM, who had JUST come out of surgery and the Dr. who performed the surgery was nowhere to be found. In my opinion, somebody who has only had his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine since 2021 and decides to not come out to the pet's owners in person after a surgery is extremely unprofessional. Meanwhile, nobody had given us a quote on what the teeth cleaning would cost. We didn't think anything of it because we normally have our dog's teeth cleaned every year and every invoice has been ~$400. However, this time, our invoice was almost $700, which was almost a 75% increase in cost. Mind you, we were also charged for post-op care, when there was no post-op care received. Upon speaking with the office manager the next day, she offered no solutions, and no partial refund for services not received. The office manager also claimed that Hartrick was bought up by a corporation who recently decided to raise prices to "stay competitive". Our friends and family who take their pets here will no longer be back. Find a vet who values your pets and your business and aren't just hungry to make an extra buck. Update: Since the manager had decided to respond to this review and give false information, I just wanted to clarify that nobody was rude to the staff upon picking up our dog. Had the manager not already left for the day, she would have known that. She is making statements when she was not even present at the time we picked our dog up. Why would we be rude to the front desk staff when they are actually friendly and considerate and they are not responsible for the pricing? Also, why would we risk anything when our dog hadn’t even been handed back to us yet? The staff love our dog and have been nothing but nice to us over the years. The manager’s response is full of invalid information. Again, just to reiterate, we did not ask for money back because of the doctor’s age…we simply stated that there was no post-op care received and it was ridiculous we had to pay for that. And yes, we received the quote the same morning we dropped our dog off. Having already paid for the blood work to be done for him to go under anesthesia a few weeks prior, what were we supposed to do? Cancel the morning of? Had all services that were quoted actually been received, we likely wouldn’t have mentioned the price increase in the first place. However, from past experience, it is custom for a veterinary practice to watch over your dog post-op before picking them up. They called us the minute he woke up from anesthesia and told us to come pick him up/no post-op care was received because they were closing for the day, yet we still paid for services not received. Our dog was so out of it and drugged up by the time he came home he couldn’t even stand up without falling over. I also find it comical that the manager claims our dog was never in any uncomfortable/hungry state. Our dog doesn’t have a voice, which is why I left this review in the first place. Just trying to help other pet owners find a reliable vet since we all want the best for them. I hope the office manager isn’t lying about paying the staff a living wage, because they truly have been the backbone of this place for years - just unfortunate that this new corporation is breaking long-time customers trust.

    While I like the doctors, I don't feel I can trust this practice to charge a fair price for their services. We've been with Hartrick for a long time, but since it's now corporate-owned, the costs have continued to increase to the point where we're looking at other vets. UPDATE: I no longer trust this business. They used to charge $5 a tab for heartworm and now it's over $41. They tried softening this by saying we'd get a credit, but that's proven challenging to do. I recommend finding a locally-owned vet that cares about pets more than their investors.

    It seems that reviews may be most helpful if we review the individual service providers. First, if I owned a business, I would want Christine at the front. Christine shows unwavering courtesy even when I am at my worst in terms of my symptoms of distress. 5+ stars describes Christine's service. Dr. Brown too. Although I only interacted with him for two visits; I was very impressed with his knowledge, logic and remarkable balance of humility with confidence; healthy appropriate humility is something I unfortunately rarely experience in the medical communities. I intend to consult Dr. Brown again. The reason for average 3 star rating is that I felt that only 2 of the many vet techs were willing to play a supportive role in providing the help that we needed in administering eye drops twice daily to our dog; the other vet techs seemed to want to control (ego) the process despite my practically begging to please keep things consistent with the way we painstakingly figured out works well for the dog and for us when we give the eye drop when the clinic is closed. So I began asking for the two vet techs who were consistently willing to be supportive and respect our eye drop process rather than trying to take the lead like the others. My other issue with the clinic is that when the manager Carmen (sp?) asked for my feedback around my asking for specific vet techs to help with our dog, I wasn't prepared, so later when I saw her again, I remembered feedback that I thought made sense to give, and she replied letting me know that she already "has the story" according to the vet tech's notes which is impossible to have "the story," since a true story includes multiple perspectives, and I had not shared my experience yet. I felt that she should not have asked me for feedback if she was then going to shut down my feedback which actually took energy and courage to provide. I rate this clinic currently as average overall with Dr. Brown and Christine being all-stars as well as Rachel, a 5+ star vet tech shown in the photo, who will only be working there 1 day per week though.

    Great experience as a new patient so far! I had my (really, my cat Louie's) first appointment recently with Dr. Reed. Both she and a vet tech were extremely quick and efficient when diagnosing some bacteria in our cat's urine. They treated Louie with great care and pets! Awesome first impression, thanks Hartrick!

    So my little Brussels Griffin Chihuahua has a bad tooth that’s loose and I really needed him seen. The only vet to accommodate on short notice was Hartrick. Upon arrival I was greeted by a super kind and friendly staff! Moose who was shaking and scared was put at ease by all. We did not have a long wait and other clients I saw check out had big smiles. Everything was clean, orderly, and the vet was compassionate, thorough, and explained everything well. Moose will be getting further care and I’m relieved he doesn’t have to wait months to address his problem!

    Office staff are very unprofessional and uncaring. They have been rude with me at every visit. Twice they called me and said they had medication ready and I went to pick it up and it wasn't. Once time I went into the office and was told it was closed even though all of the lights were on and the door was unlocked. Another man had entered as well, we were both there to picked up prescriptions and were told sorry they were closed. The final straw for me was the way they handled having to put my cat to sleep. I let them know my daughter would be coming in with me and I wanted it to be taken care of quickly, they assured me with a set appointment time it would be. When i got there they put us in a room and made us wait 45 minutes while my daughter hysterically sobbed. It was traumatizing and they showed zero remorse. For something of such a sensitive nature you need to prioritize and show some empathy. Now I'm getting bills saying I owe a balance, this vet has no payment plans available and you absolutely have to pay in full upon service, they cannot even give me an explanation of where the money I owe them is coming from. Not to mention I had been using them for years assuming their prices where comparable to other vets in the area only to discover they are extremely overpriced. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

    Wow! What a great experience. I have a super senior kitty with severe anxiety and they treated her so gently and went at her own pace. The tech took extra time to let her warm up to her. The providers we saw were so helpful and knowledgeable. We are in good hands and I'm so grateful.

    We were referred to Hartrick for our 3 dogs in our new neighborhood and couldn’t be happier! Dr Syed took as much time we needed with us and we felt very comfortable and learned so much in this first visit to help our anxious pup. He called the next day to give us the bloodwork results and asked how our dog was doing with his new meds. We are super happy with Dr Syed and his staff!!

    I walked in without an appointment due to an emergency with my two dogs who had been pepper sprayed. I was so upset and severely distraught. The front desk person and vet tech (I wish I knew their names) did everything in their power to calm me down and fix the situation. Not only were they fully booked, they still made time to accommodate me. They were so attentive and kind with my dogs. I’ve used this vet before due to location convenience. However, this experience really proved to me they care about the well being of any person or animal that walks in their doors. Thank you, for being so sincere and genuine.

    The facility was very clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly, thorough and caring. We went for our annual check up and vaccines. The whole process was fairly quick but I felt like our dog was cared for the entire time, not rushed. I liked that they had a separate waiting area for cats and dogs as our dog gets very excited around cats and tends to spook them :)

    Excellent service and responsiveness. Every time we have communicated via email they have provided a detailed response within the hour. Their availability is limited but they are prompt on informing you if an appointment opens up. The service from the care providers is excellent. My dog is very nervous when she goes to the vet and they always do a great job in managing her skittishness. Cameron is great with my dog and always manages to put her at ease when he greets us at the door. Dr. Reed is excellent working with my dog and really goes the extra mile with listening to all of our questions explaining everything in Layman’s terms. We would recommend Hartrick to anyone in the area!

    Took my newly adopted kittens. They were such a big rush to get me out that they didn't check them for fleas. Took them to a new vet and with adoptees that's one of the first things that they check for.... Fleas. That has to be handled ASAP or you get infestation.

    This place is amazing. The entire team is fantastic. We just started going there and they greet my dog my name. No long waits, check in is easy, they get you in a room super quick and are so respectful of your time. They all treat my dog like they’ve known him for years. We also started acupuncture here due to a spinal injury. The acupuncture experience has been great and I can’t wait to continue. They are easy to schedule with and even have an app to make things easier to make appointments on and access records. I can’t say enough nice things about this office. I wish human doctors offices were this great!

    We took our cat Lily in for regular vaccines as well as a general check-up, and were both a bit nervous about the experience since she has only left home once or twice in her life (she's 4 years old now). The veterinary technicians and doctors could not have been more respectful and easy to talk to about any concerns that we had. By the time Lily was back home with her brother she was as relaxed and easy-going as any other day. Hard to believe it now but I'm actually looking forward to getting our other cat in for their check-up, knowing it was so easy! I also must say, costs were much lower than I was expecting!     All of the staff members here are incredibly helpful and kind. They all clearly love animals! They are patient with my cats and accept that some cats have more shy personalities than others, but show calmness and patience to comfort them. Dr. Larsen took the time to answer my questions and provide a lot of suggestions to help my cats thrive. I have needed forms in the past and received a very prompt email response, with the forms available to pick up later that day. Communication is great here!

    First I need to say that I cannot give Dr. Schade enough praise. She took our pup under our care after being stringed along for months regarding our pups first ACL repair at a different vet clinic. She did not hesitate to have the difficult conversation with us that we needed to get TPLO surgery and that we more than likely need to get the other one done in the future. She was up front about the costs of surgery and how the recovery would be. She was diligent about responding to our emails and sending in scripts for medications as needed. This past month our pup tore her other ACL and I was disappointed to hear that Dr. Schade was no longer practicing at our vet clinic, but I was thrilled to find out she didn’t move too far! From the moment I called Hartrick, you could tell that the office staff are extremely familiar with these sorts of cases. The initial phone call was like a breath of fresh air, the woman scheduling was so kind and was able to get our pup in for her initial visit with surgery following within a week. The techs were also extremely knowledgeable and welcoming as well. We are about 2 1/2 weeks out from our pups 2nd TPLO repair in 11 months and she is recovering so well. Thank you Dr. Schade and Hartrick Vet Clinic. We can’t wait to have our crazy pup back to normal.

    The staff at Hartrick Vet Clinic went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable. Greeted with a cat waiting room, and exam room only for cats, they also provided a feline friendly approach to their care, allowing my cat to set the boundaries for the visit. Their considerations were above and beyond and I highly recommend them for feline care!

    I’ve bounced around a few vets after having subpar experiences where I felt rushed, not listened to, glossed over, etc., and this was the first place I felt seen and heard. Staff took their time with me and my cat, I didn’t get condescending vibes, and they were clear and transparent. Scheduling was easy, checkout was easy, everything was easy.     We began going to Hartrick with our new puppy. With our visits and phone calls have been extremely positive. Our dog had a cyst and they were super understanding and after sending pictures they were quick to respond and give information without needing me to come in for an appointment. I have been super happy with every experience and employee. On his first puppy visit there, he was even sent out with a cute little bow tie!

    I needed a new veterinarian and I researched Hartrick and they had wonderful reviews. My first experience with them during the pandemic, was so easy just dropping my cat off at the door. The veterinarian and staff, are friendly and very professional! I highly recommend Hartrick Veterinarian!

    We took our puppy to Hartrick clinic for his vet care. Both my partner and I were very satisfied with the care we received for our little guy. Dr.Ewers is a wonderful veterinarian. She was very thorough and answered all of my questions. She is well-versed and knowledgeable on a breath of topics including vaccinations, puppy wellness, behavioral health, puppy socialization, health records, and more. We are so thankful we have her and this amazing clinic for our puppy’s vet care. The staff has been extremely helpful whenever I have had scheduling conflicts. I am so appreciative of their flexibility. The clinic also has very prompt turnaround times and great communication of results etc. We are so happy this is our vet clinic and plan to stay here for life. I highly recommend the clinic and Dr.Ewers!

    Great clinic and good doctors! Being here on a three year assignment from Germany we were looking for a vet that would help us get settled in with our two medium sized dogs and wouldn’t take advantage of our situation. The staff at Hartrick was always very helpful and patient, the doctors and staff are great with the animals and the treatment magnificent!

    I took my dog Roxy for the first time here this Saturday and we had a great experience. This is truly a kind and caring veterinary practice. The staff who answers the phone are kind and considerate as well as the Vet Tech Cameron who was so nice to my girl and put her at ease. We saw Dr. Reed who gave Roxy excellent care and was very compassionate to her. The space is clean and well cared for. I would highly recommend!

    In response to: Bethany Moore As a long time client of Hartick's Veterinary Clinic, Ms. Moore's review upset me. The ladies and gentlemen who work at this vet are courteous, professional, and always willing to help. During a pandemic, all rules and procedures change and we as consumers must be mindful of that. Dr. Hartrick has been deceased for over 20 years now (possibly longer) so I don't know how Salem could be a patient. I also worry that she waited so long that her puppy's kidneys were shutting down. I must state that I don't work in the veterinary world, but it sounds she may be upset with herself for waiting so long before seeking medical assistance. She wrote... Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value I would not go to Dr.Hartrick. We had an emergency with our puppy, Salem, during business hours and they said they couldn’t see her for a week. From what I’ve heard from other vet offices that is ridiculous bc 1) she was a puppy and 2) she was a patient of Dr.Hartrick already. They tried to pass us off to their sister clinic and we left multiple messages and never heard back. We ended up having to go to OVRS, spending $3000 and we had to put the puppy down. OVRS couldn’t even tell us what was wrong except that her kidneys were shutting down. I don’t know if my experience at OVRS was out of the ordinary but our experience at Dr.Hartrick was unacceptable. I am very disappointed bc their reviews were so positive. Don’t be fooled.

    I've been going to Hartrick with all of my animals (and I have a lot!) for over 20 years. Dr. Harlan Witt is an experienced, caring vet who will be straightforward with you and still consider your feelings. He loves animals and so do all the vets and vet techs in the place. You can tell. They are as good with people as they are with the animals. They try very hard to get me in when it is an "ASAP" situation and they work toward the betterment of the animal's health focusing on what you, the human companion wants without gauging you with unnecessary tests. I'm so grateful to have them in my community.

    The staff at Hartrick are tremendous. They have helped keep my two Maine Coon cats, healthy and beautiful. The Drs. and techs are skilled to handle emergencies and everyday car.

    Nice people there, but didnt catch fleas that my kitten had, also didnt make sure I came back and she has bad round worms , overall not much attention or urgency paid and I have taken my business elsewhere

    Amazing veterinary clinic. I have taken my german shepherd to vet after vet, and this vet has demonstrated to be the most competent and compassionate. My german shepherd is a huge liability for both vets and myself, she is very difficult to provide care to. Most vets ask to sedate her for simple treatments like ear cleaning or a physical. This practice didn't sedate her, and Dr. Witt is the only vet to date that did not succumb to my dogs intimidation tactics (they maintained a calm and confident demeanor while also being mindful of my dogs level of stress).

    I called the Hartricks before I brought my cat in to get neutered to get a price. I was told $70 over the phone but the cat would need a office visit before the procedure. The visited cost me $55 and the quote for the procedure was over $400.00 on top of the $55 visit... tell me that is not a scam!

    0 stars. WASTE your TIME and MONEY. They are so irresponsibility,unprofessional and rude. Don’t call them, because they will hang up your phone. I try to bring my dog to my country. I spent hundreds dollars for laboratory tests. And paid extra blood test in their store... after 6 months I got the result (copy) for my dog. She is healthy and ready to come back my country with me. However, Hartrick Veterinary lost my official documents which I paid, They also admitted the mistakes. It is the document I have to carry with me on airport. They always told me will prepare new official documents for me. I come back couple times the answer is NO official Document. The store destroyed my one year trip planing and airplane tickets both me and my dog. Finally, They said will take care for next time If my dog come back to them, but it is a big lie. .
