My first time trying authentic ramen. I was feeling a little under the weather and this was the perfect meal. It was flavorful, comforting and cozy. I loved the entire environment and the service was top-tier.

Love this restaurants vibes, ambiance and the food especially! Great prices and the food arrived quick and hot to the table. My family enjoyed the meal very much! The curry, ramen, and unagi box were delicious as well as the pork buns and takoyaki (octopus balls) appetizers!

This is a hidden gem place in Queens. It is hard to find a good Japanese restaurant that is not carrying sushi or roll in Queens and it is as good as those popular places in Manhattan. The food is always clean and warm, and tasty without being too salty or sweet. During the pandemic we did take out and it was warm enough, but it is definitely good to dine-in. Hope that this place will be around for a long time.

Curry Katchu and Tochucha Udon were delicious. Brown Sugar Matcha latte was good but wish the matcha flavor was a little stronger. I was disappointed in the Salmon Onigiri. The rice didn’t have much flavor and only a small tiny piece of salmon. Highly recommend the Kagua beer if you’re into light refreshing beers. Staff were really friendly and food came out really fast.

Beautiful tea/ramen spot! Upon walking in we were greated promptly and seated right away. The place was very clean with a good amount of decor which provided a very relaxing ambiance. There were a plethora of menu items especially Tochucha based which is one of their signature teas (no caffeine by the way). I ordered their Yuzu Tochucha lemonade along with their spicy miso chicken ramen and matcha tiramisu. Every one was very tasty especially the matcha tiramisu. The Ramen could have used more flavor and I has to ask the waiter to bring more spice. I knocked off 1 star because they originally brought me the same ramen but with pork when I clearly pointed to the chicken option in the menu. They promptly corrected the mixup. Overall this is a great spot if you are in the mood for Ramen and other dishes.

Came here on a rainy Friday evening and didn’t have to wait long for a table. They have a wide selection of ramen that you can try and a lot of combinations that you can add. I ended up getting the spicy miso which was perfect - came with 3 large pieces of chashu which is more than enough. Would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent food and service! Ordered the Sake Clams and grilled Octopus for appetizers. Wife ordered Tonkatsu Ramen with Nippon Cha Noodles! Loved it! For myself, ordered the grilled steak.. so tender and delicious! For dessert we ordered the Green Tea / Matcha Tiramisu! Excellent!! Recommended!

I really loved this place. The food was delicious and quick. I had their miso ramen with their special tea noodles (for $1 extra) which was light and soft. My husband got the pork katsu set and that came with so much food. So much that he couldn't finish his katsu! There was a steamed egg with abalone at the bottom that was just *chef's kiss!*. I got a brown sugar matcha to go with oat milk (cold) and I cannot recommend it more - it wasn't too sweet but not too matcha-y where it was bitter. I would definitely go back and try other foods! Oh we also had their fried octopus which came with at least 10 pieces and a dip that tasted like spicy mayo. Yum!

My first visit won't be my last. Beautiful and welcoming interior that offers perfectly crafted matcha tea by the warm and friendly Angel (it's his name not an adjective 😅). Of the appetizers we tried, the takoyaki was my favorite. The shishito peppers needed a little more time on the grill and the pork buns were decent. The shoyu ramen was delish; light and flavorful. The reason behind my 5 stars and the highlight of the visit was the spicy miso ramen. The spice was up there but not overly powerful and the taste was completely unexpected for a tea/ramen shop on Bell Boulevard. I had gone through a stretch of subpar ramen bowls in the past couple of years and the taste of this spicy miso ramen reignited my love for this dish. While the noodles could be a touch better, the flavor was undeniably top notch.

Google maps indicated that the restaurant closes at 10:30pm during a regular weekday from Mon to Thur. However, I called to verify and the kitchen closes at 10pm. When I arrived it was close to 10pm and yet the personable lady server reassured me and allowed me to put in my dine-in order. The food arrived quickly and was well prepared, attractive and delicious. I ordered miso ramen, grilled squid with lemon appetizer, clams steamed in saki, and straight hot macha tea. Everything was made perfectly with lots of ingredients and had great flavor. I'll be back to try more dishes.

Came in for early dinner 5pm and it was still quiet. We were promptly greeted and had the nice hot cup of Tokoucha. We ordered gyoza, curry tonkatsu set and gyu-don. The presentation was pleasing and was tasty. I asked for extra pickled ginger for my gyudon and it was perfect. Wanted to try the matcha tiramisu but we were too full...next time.

The hostess and server was kind and friendly, the ambiance is spacious and warm, and the food was very delicious! I ordered the salmon mentai yaki soba which was very creamy and tasty, especially with a dash of salt and pepper! I also ordered a side of pork katsu, which was reasonably priced but overcooked and hard, so I'd definitely skip the katsu and order other selections next time around. The matcha latte was a bit overly milky, but does the job in curing my cravings. Overall the experience was a pleasant one and although many selections are on the pricier end, some of them are decently priced and the quality of their food is definitely there! Thank you for reading and best of luck!

Ordered the supa tuna Don(as always) for take out and it only took 10 min for it to be ready. It comes with an onsen-style egg which is very good. This time tho, tried the chili wonton, don’t worry it is not spicy at all. Good quality for a quick dinner. Many of their rice bowl is pretty decent as well.

At NIPPON CHA, the culinary journey begins with an array of appetizers that set a high standard. Each dish is a testament to authentic flavors and craftsmanship, leading seamlessly to the main course—a bowl of ramen. The ramen is a symphony of rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and expertly prepared toppings, making each slurp a moment to savor. Our meal concludes on a high note with the matcha tiramisu, a unique twist on the classic dessert, blending the earthy tones of matcha with creamy, sweet layers. This restaurant is a must-visit for a seamless blend of traditional and modern Japanese cuisine, where each dish is prepared with care and presented with flair.

The staff are always nice and accommodating. I dined in, had take out, and delivery from this place, and it's been nice every time. I think the ramen tastes a lot better when you dine in, so I recommend doing that if you can! The space can be cramped, especially the entrance. I do wish they could open it up more, but it hasn't been crowded when I visited, so it's fine.

Had lunch with my wife at Nippon Cha, one of our favorite Japanese restaurants in Bayside. We ordered the King crab, uni and salmon roe over their green tea noodle, their seasonal gyu katsu and asked for curry on the side with shishito peppers and yuzu lemon fried chicken wings for appetizers. As always the food was fresh and the service was attentive and welcoming. Will continue coming back here again and again.

It’s a 5 mins walking distance from Long Island railroad bayside station. It’s a clean and comfortable restaurant. The service is good, and people are friendly and attentive. Overall the food is good. The taste is decent, and the portion is ok. It’s not like a special treat for your stomach, but it’s nice to have clean, fresh warm food without big flaws. The matcha tiramisu and the two drinks we ordered are superb. I will go back to try again.

Cute spot for ramen! and the staff is very nice. Broths are rich and nice, noodles were good and bouncy. Interesting tea infused noodle option. chicken was ok good flavor on the initial bites but turns dry quick, could be better. Dessert was mostly matcha so we didn’t get.

One of my go-to Ramen places in Queens! I love coming here because the food and service is always great and reliable. I have been coming here for the last 4 years and have never had a bad meal here. My favorites: 1) Tonkatsu Ramen 2) Shoyu Ramen 3) Pork Buns 4) Takoyaki 5) Chicken Wings It’s nice to come here with a group and split a bunch of appetizers. Then to finish the meal with a warm bowl of ramen. Their portions are good, and you will go home satisfied! All of their waiters and waitresses are very nice and helpful, and their service is fast and efficient. The parking in this area is a bit tough, mostly paid parking on the street or residential parking a bit further away. Overall the price is reasonable and I would highly recommend this place.

I had a lovely meal at Nippon Cha. I’ve been to this restaurant a couple times and am always pleased with the items I’ve ordered. One menu item I’ve fallen in love with and order every time I visit is the Hamachi with Ponzu. Tonight I tried the Spicy Tuna Don (which came with Miso Soup) and the Yaki Udon, they were both delicious. This restaurant also offers a variety of tea drinks and has a nice selection for my matcha lovers out there. Tonight I tried the Tochucha Yuzu Lemonade, it was very refreshing.

This location serves the best drinks, and has the most talented servers they are very charismatic, and very professional I tried the Matcha Latte and it was so smooth, delicious and refreshing that I forgot to take a picture before inhaling more than half of the drink. 10/10 would def recommend, their dessert is also top tier.

I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. The soups are good. The spacy soup in on the hot side which i absolutely love. The staff is nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean. I love their complementary tea.

Everything here doesn’t miss. Flavor and plating is on point! The food is healthy and nourishing. The brown sugar matcha was super rich. You definitely have to mix it well though. The uni steamed egg was also quite fishy but had a great texture and had a surprise scallop at the bottom! Not worth $12 though. Also pictured: Tochucha udon Still thinking about the Cold Tochucha Soba/Matcha Ramen i got… - Tasted like summer in a bowl - Chewy noodles combined with the perfectly seasoned broth contrasted with the crunchy cucumber was very refreshing and umami. - there were also 2 big pieces of tender chicken. which went well with the fresh wasabi. personally i wish they were smaller pieces. - the tea flavors cooked into both the soup and noodles provided a multiple layers of flavor. Food and drink had really balanced flavor. Not tooo salty but also not too bland. Matcha wasn’t too sweet nor too bitter.

The servers and ambiance honestly made the dinner. The owner (presumably) and our server were some of the nicest people and checked in frequently to make sure everything was okay. The food was also great, but the broth could have been better compared to other shops in the area. Even so, the noodles themselves were definitely better than any I've had, and I will definitely be coming back.

  • 4/5 Freshelle T. 1 year ago on Google
I tried their tonkotsu ramen, which had a flavorful and rich broth that stood out. My mom ordered the tochucha udon which my mom enjoyed. The service was mixed - one staff member was accommodating while the other was not welcoming and seemed annoyed by our stroller. Despite this, I would still like to come back and try their other menu items.

The service was quick and attentive here, its a small quaint place. We ordered bunch of appets n I had the spicy miso ramen. I like that the pork slices were very meaty with less fat. It's a good place to go for a quick bite.

This place is great. I have been there a couple of times and I like it each time. The menu has a good selection of dishes, so far I have tried the soy milk ramen, soba noodles, and pork cutlet and each dish is delicious. Their lattes and floats are great as well. Their outdoor seating is very organized and the staff wear face masks and gloves so it makes you feel safer while enjoying your food.

The food is excellent and quality has not dipped during the pandemic, but what makes it our family’s favorite neighborhood restaurant is how kind and accommodating the staff always is, even when it’s packed. Over the years, we’ve only had great experiences every time we go or order out.

The food is amazing, and the staffs are extremely friendly. It as a very mix crowd of customers from different heritage which is unique. I had the traditional miso which was very good. As appetizer, ordered the baby fried octopus. The fried dough was perfectly season. As when everything might look like small portion, it fills you up. I will be a returning customer.

Absolutely love their tea noodles!! Super authentic and different than most ramen places I go to. Has a lot of different delicious options. Definitely recommend coming here. Always great service and barely ever a wait. Great location as well, so many places to go after for dessert or a drink. Might be hard to find parking since it is rather a busy area.

Nippon Cha has become one of our go tos for food and specifically ramen. I’m generally not much of a fan of ramen because a lot of ramen restaurants have either bad ramen or the broth is too salty overpowering the taste of other ingredients. Nippon Cha is completely different. I love the different broth I have tried and their ramen is really good (we always get the matcha ramen). Their appetizers that we have tried have also been really delicious. Also if you are interested, they have a matcha beer (beer is just typical Japanese beer, but they pour it into matcha). It’s certainly worth a try. Added bonus during COVID - we felt really safe and warm in their outdoor dining space.

What a great place to eat. Food is amazing. Dining outside is extremely comfortable and nice atmosphere. Waitresses are super quick and very friendly. This place is a little gem in Bayside. Actual onigiri! And you can build your own ramen soup. The shoyu ramen tasted really good. I had the egg noodles but it tasted bland to be honest. The broth of it and the chicken in it was amazing though. The tokatsu was really tasty but I'd say the chicken was a little dry. Still good just not the best. Really liked the tea they served us. Service was pretty good considering how crowded it was. Parking on Bell is always difficult. I'm definitely going to try other things next time!

Had spicy ramen and miso ramen. Both are very blend and lack of flavors. Not worth the money. I went there base on the reviews and very disappointed. Not sure how they have good reviews on ramens. If this is good then people really don't know what a good ramen is.

This was a good experience for my family and I here at Nippon Cha on a Sunday afternoon, It was very busy today and we waited longer than expected for our food which is why I am only giving it 4 stars. The food however was very tasty, What I chose to get is the spicy miso ramen with egg noodles, and kudon chicken curry. The Ramen was probably one of the tastiest ramens I’ve had in a very long time, I loved the depth of flavor in the broth - mixed with veggies, meats and spices, I could go through another bowl right now just thinking about it, I will be returning again with my family

Ordered delivery from them on Doordash, and it was pretty friggin good compared to the Teinei Ya delivery I had a day prior. Tonkotsu was great, broth was flavorful and not overly salty, the charsius were thick and had alternating layers of lean and fat, so tender and fantastic. The menma was not stinky and tasted great. Fantastic bowl. We also got a spicy miso chicken bowl that was good. If you want delivery ramen and live in the area, this is it.
