This restaurant is really a diamond in the rough. Don't let the outside plaza prevent you from having an amazing meal. The menu is pretty extensive from vegans to meat eaters and is delicious! It's hard to find great Chinese food so we still drive 20 minutes away for their food. We normally order take out to add to our Sunday family meal. We typically order to go and our staples are duck, pork, and snow pea leaves. If snow peas are out of season, we order water spinach which certainly is not a step down. We've been ordering atleast once a month for a couple years now. Even our kids crave it during the week! One last thing. They don't accept credit cards so bring cash.

This place is the WORST! My food had a HUMAN HAIR, and when confronted, they took my plate back to the back room and gave me the exact same plate. I was also overcharged as well by 5 dollars. And it always happens whenever we go out and eat here. But the worse thing was when we were done, the lady at the front had the AUDACITY to come chase us when we were out the restaurant, and was BEGGING that we forgot to to TIP HER. Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE place. This place is DISGUSTING!!!!!

just went to 1st Chinese BBQ in Haltom City and i was impressed. This place came highly recommended, I think it was very good! The vegetable and Tofu Hot Pot was delicious, and the BBQ Fried rice was really good, I have plenty of left overs for tomorrow. The dumpling were tasty as well.

This is our go to place for authentic Chinese food. You know it’s the real deal when you see roast duck hanging in the window. Some of our fav dishes are the roast duck, roast pork, char siu and the spicy salt and pepper squid. I also recommend the snow pea leaves when they’re in season. If you want really good authentic Chinese food then this is the place. Tip: bring cash, they don’t accept credit cards.

good choice for decent chinese food. Had my usual, wonton noodles and a selection from the chinese bbq. Noodles were a little undercooked, had to leave in soup for 2-3 minutes before it was just the right tenderness. I wonder if the chef expects the customer not to get the dish so quickly and dials in the wait time so that it gets there just right.. Nah.. that's just too precise for a mom and pop place. Pan fried dumplings were so so, probably skip the next time 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/9th? time: Lost count :-) been there so often lately. But wanted to add that the foodie gods were smiling because the duck we ordered came fresh out of the roaster and the thing was steaming hot with crispy skin and the duck fat was just oozing off it. it was heaven. It was really busy at 1pm today. I got seated at the front since I wasnt particular about my table. Food was spot on as usual. Wait staff was all by himself but he handled the rush like a champ.

Food always good at First Chinese BBQ. This is the second time we ate at this location. We mostly dine at the Arlington location for more than 28 years whenever we are in town. Tonight the food was great, didn’t two dishes we ordered, service can be bette, and the dining room at this location do need some serious updates and remodeling.

CASH ONLY. The place is welcoming to anybody that wants and knows true Chinese food. !B6. BBQ Pork. This is classic char siu pork that is not too sweet but very flavorful. Taste so good with rice. !R5. Roasted Duck on Rice. It’s duck cooked right. Don’t miss out on the side of sauce. It elevates the duck. N13. BBQ Crispy noodle. A classic dish done right. You get a big nest of crispy noodles surrounding the meats and veggies on a bed of gravy. A11. Hong Kong Style Crab. The dish is good but had better. It is a little spicy. I do recommend it’s mixed with rice. Fyi. Wait to be seated. CASH ONLY. Family portions.

Everything we’ve tried here was delicious! Especially the bbq pork & orange chicken. Recommend calling ahead for to-go orders. Attaching recent menu pics as of 2/24/23.

Photos by other reviewers are pretty accurate to what I encountered. Food came out relatively quickly, and was nice and hot; tasty as well. Waiter's service was good. -cash only -don't let the restaurant exterior turn you off -if you order stir fried items, like the lo mein or fried rice, maybe ask for them to be made a little less salty Would strongly consider coming back another time.

This restaurant is located in a complex with several Asian owned establishments such as a mall, supermarket and other restaurants. When we walked in the restaurant there was some roasted poultry (duck probably) hanging behind the register which gave the spot an authentic feel. The staff was attentive and the food came out quick. Food is family style portion sizes and was delicious. The menu is like a small book and they have a little bit of everything. Prices were reasonable. It should be noted this is not your normal Chinese restaurant with the limited menu of sesame and General Tso chicken but it's not comparable in terms of service/ambience of a PF Chang. It's somewhere in between. Regardless, it was a good experience and I will be checking it out again in the near future.

Ate here to celebrate a birthday. The food did not disappoint. We had the roast duck, crispy noodles with chicken, but the star of the meal was the barbecue pork. Love how tender the pork was with the crispy skin. I didn’t even need to try it with the dipping sauce the meat was delicious. I’ll be coming back!

We've been going to First Chinese since I was a child, I've never been disappointed by their food. It has now become my husband's favorite Chinese place, too. It is consistent throughout the chain, and always delicious. Make sure you take cash, because they don't take cards.

Kung Pao Shrimp, Honey sesame chicken, roasted duck, and bbq pork are some of my favorites here. Chicken is always crispy with fresh green broccoli while the duck and bbq pork is always so tender. Fast service and they always replenish your rice bowl when you finish. People here are always nice and it’s definitely a reliable spot to eat out always. Food is always hot when you do takeout so don’t sleep.
