My husband and I both visited this practice. We were incorrectly charged for a few things, I was given a late/no show fee even though I had never been late or missed an appointment; he was charged twice for a test that should have only been charged once. When I called to fix the billing issue, the billing number went dead multiple times. It took over a month to get the issue resolved. I had to mention I was going to call my insurance company and claim medical fraud to finally get a call back from the billing manager to get the issue resolved. We were both supposed to receive referrals-- I ended up having to call them 3 times over a 6 week period to finally get a referral, my husband never got his. I never received a call back about my routine blood work, which I was told specifically by the doctor they call patients to go over blood work once results come back--whether it's all normal or not. We were very disappointed and could tell the doctor doesn't care about patients well being, it's definitely all about money. To get a physical here, patients have to sign a form that says they won't discuss any health issues or concerns that don't fall under routine wellness visits. If they do, the doctor will not perform the wellness exam, and will charge patient for preventative exam. Even if it's a chronic issue, like back pain, you're not allowed to mention it. We both felt like we weren't allowed to ask any questions for fear of our physical appointment being canceled and the appointment turning into preventative. Unfortunately, we felt like this practice was just out to get as much money as they could from us.

Had poor experiences last year so I quit going there and found a fantastic new doctor and office elsewhere. Recently received a bill from 2 YEARS AGO that I remember was resolved with their billing department around that time. It’s been so long that I can’t even view my EOBs from my insurance without having to get on the phone with my insurance company and start digging up information to put this all together. I recall being asked by a receptionist back in 2021 at least twice that I owed a copay balance and I told her I did not and it was resolved with their billing department. She wrote on a sticky note and that was the last I had heard of it assuming it was properly notated in their records. I still visited that clinic up until a year ago because of the dr making me feel uncomfortable with my birth control method that I’ve been on for years, requiring me to get biannual labs (I have never been told every 6 month routine lab work was needed for a 27 year old by any other doctor) and their staff messing up my work leave paperwork for Covid. They refused to give me a copy to review before I left and had submitted the form incorrectly. It almost cost my job protection because that entity could not get ahold of anyone at the office before my deadline. Now 2 years later I am being harassed with this incorrect copay charge. Per the instructions on the bill form I messaged the clinic to dispute but to no surprise did not receive a response. I don’t have the time or energy to investigate this once again so I reluctantly paid it. If I did take this up with my insurance company, I think they would be coming back at cooper st medical clinic for their own reimbursements for improper/excessive billing or fraud. I am not the type of person to ever leave bad reviews but this clinic has given me a lot of anxiety. I will say not every experience with them was bad and the staff was overall pleasant and caring but I had too many issues and this bill now 2 years later is worthy of this review.

I didn't have much of a problem with this clinic other than the Dr. which I noted on review of the Midlothian clinic. I haven't been to either clinic in over a year as I've found a Dr that listens and responds to my concerns and medical issues. Out of the blue I'm getting notices stating that I owe on a bill. How? Why? What for? Then no one answers the phone when I call. With my insurance I have no co-pays for PCP visits. I've also noticed the "owner" responds to positive reviews instead of addressing the concerns of the reviews with lower stars..? To me that shows an unwillingness to review and make changes as needed for improvement. I'll end this review now so I can make another attempt to speak to an 'i am not a robot' actual billing dept employee.

My whole experience here with the doctor(?) was horrible. She did not want to take the time to listen to me. She literally looked at her watch while I was speaking to her and tried diagnosing me through a plethora of expensive tests before checking me out and ruling any diagnosis out through examination. Or even by just hearing out what my symptoms were.

The best experience ever. I was a walk in and didn’t wait hours like i normally would at a doctors office. I waited in my car the entire time due to having symptoms of covid, the nurse even brought me out a water while I filled out some paper work and was the sweetest lady ever. The doctor and nurse even came to my car to do all of my testing and every single person was so nice! Best place I’ve ever been to. 10/10!

Charged insurance 1100 to flush wax from ears. Overcharged. Visit was not long or complicated. I know in’s coding and wrong code was used. I will be reporting this to the state and my insurance company. Especially since it went to deductible and I have to pay 350 out of pocket. Do not recommend this place at all. UPDATE I spoke to the company that does their billing and they said they’d correct and send a revised billing to insurance. They did and now an ear flushing with only water and it’s still 1k. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS. Pay attention to what they’re billing your insurance company. I only know about this because I see the eobs. And you can’t get through to anyone . I need a call back and this NOT passed off to another company. I am ready to call the state.
