The
staff
on
the
most
part
were
professional
and
knowledgeable.
There
were
some
miscommunications
with
physician
orders
related
to
medications
and
dressing
changes.
Some
agency
nurses
display
a
different
commitment
in
their
work.
During
the
time
I
was
confined
to
the
bed
the
nursing
techs
were
friendly
and
helpful.
My
bed
controls
only
worked
if
I
used
the
outside
controls
on
the
bed
rail.
Discharge
orders
came
1-2
hours
after
the
physician
visited
at
the
bedside.
Vital
signs
were
taken
at
1:30
and
4:30
am,
very
disruptive
for
quality
sleep.
Bathroom
toilet
gave
very
little
privacy,
especially
when
staff
did
not
wait
for
a
response
if
they
knocked
before
coming
in.
Dietary
overall
was
tasty
and
the
fruit
salad
was
fresh
and
filling.
Parking
is
a
real
challenge
and
it’s
best
to
use
Valet
which
is
covered
by
the
hospital.
I
came
into
the
ER
with
angina
and
I
was
surprised
by
the
staff
and
how
nonchalant
they
were
and
that
some
of
their
equipment
was
not
charged
and
ready
for
use.
Once
in
a
treatment
room,
the
nurses
were
professional
and
kept
me
abreast
of
my
tests
and
room
availability
in
the
hospital.
After
spending
six
hours
in
an
ED
room
I
was
given
a
bed
on
the
sixth
floor,
renal
transplant
floor.
The
staff
there
were
friendly,
supportive
and
professional
during
my
stay,
however,
more
leadership
from
nurses
is
needed
to
ensure
loud
talking
and
laughing
is
not
at
a
volume
to
disturb
patients.
It’s
always
puzzling
that
whether
you
are
there
one
day
or
four,
you
have
to
ask
for
washcloths
and
towels
if
you
want
to
wash
up.
Staff
need
to
keep
comments
about
staffing
challenges
to
themselves,
outside
of
patient
hearing,
as
it
gives
a
feeling
that
maybe
your
needs
may
not
be
met.
Even
though
I
was
told
in
the
ED
that
my
specific
nutritional
needs
would
be
met,
it
was
a
challenge
to
receive
the
correct
meal
for
a
couple
of
days
while
on
the
sixth
floor.
I
really
appreciated
the
staff
that
showed
a
happy
demeanor
and
went
the
extra
mile
and
anticipated
my
needs.
The
medical
team
made
me
feel
important
and
I
felt
I
was
receiving
structured,
coordinated
care.
My
Discharge
was
dependent
on
who
could
find
a
wheelchair
to
wheel
me
out.
There
needs
to
be
a
system
the
staff
could
call
into
to
effectively
manage
where
and
how
many
wheelchairs
are
available.
Thank
you
for
the
hard
work
of
all
the
staff,
I’ve
been
in
your
nursing
shoes
and
know
how
difficult
it
can
be.
The
road
to
success
depends
on
what
you
do
on
the
paths
of
opportunity.
