I stopped in for the first time the other day and I’m so glad I did! Darin was very friendly and helpful, made me feel comfortable in the store. He went out of his way to find me information on how to care for my aquatic pets and introduced me to my newest baby, my ghost knife fish! He suggested the use of the ghost tube to make him comfortable in his habitat and it worked like a charm! The shop is well stocked and the lay out is nice. The showroom is well kept and all the tanks appeared healthy and clean. He has a great selection of community freshwater tropical fish and helped me select some gorgeous gouramis as well. This is definitely my new go to place for my aquarium needs. You can tell he goes above and beyond for his fish and his customers.

This was my first time visiting today and I had such a great experience! I felt very welcome and Darin did such a great job at showing me around and helping me with what I was looking for. I’m building a paludarium and he helped me find wood that would best fit my tank. He also went above and beyond by letting me put the wood pieces I was interested in into an empty tank that was about the same size as mine, to see if it would fit and look well in my tank. I will definitely be coming back for my tank’s maintenance! Thank you Darin!!

This is my new favorite go-to aquatic store. I have been wanting to update my old tank into something a little more contemporary (less boring) and the owner took the time to give great advice on fish behavior and compatibility, hardscaping, plant care, and countless other things. On a return trip I showed a picture of my tank and asked for his opinion on decor, he immediately ran to his car and produced the perfect piece of driftwood. My fish are happy and I am too. I had read such good reviews about this place that I just had to check it out. It is all the good things that the reviews say. The owner is nice, friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I can see myself being a regular customer here. It is definitely a keeper in the way of fish, aquarium plants, and supplies stores.

First time visiting here and definitely coming back soon ☺️- the owner is very helpful and welcoming, they have a large variety of freshwater fish and the display tanks are very clean and healthy (betta fish are kept in actual tanks not cups ! 🤩), got my first Nerite snails here today and they are doing fantastic!

I bought my first fresh water aquarium from Petworld around 10 years ago. The owner Darren is very knowledge and is great with answering all my question. He made suggestions based on what I wanted to have in my tank. He helped get my tank stared and ready for fish. Over the years he has gone above normal customer service to help me out in emergency situation. This happened again this weekend, My old tank developed a leak. I didn’t want to completely change the size of my footprint. He had a full tank display and sold me just the tank so I didn’t have to wait 4 weeks to have a new tank made. I will continue to use Darren and Petworld for all my aquarium needs. It also supports a local business.

These guys are incredible! Great advice on cichlid tank management, took time and walked me through care instructions to help with my sick fish. Will be absolutely using them for my future fish and supply needs. They also have a maintenance plan to make sure I am well cared for. So much stress relieved just hearing the confidence of the professional.

Fist time coming here and was blown away by the selection and quality of everything. Darin was super kind and helpful and I ended up leaving with 2 plants that Darin helped me pick and were ones that looked the best, had a super healthy root system, and he gave great advice on care for the plants. The selection of plants, hard scape, and fish were amazing and I will definitely be going back soon and recommending this shop to friends.

Friendly and knowledgeable owner. Very broad selection. The owner stated he plans in broadening his nano fish selection, even though he already had several that have been hard to find in stock. I bought 3 Asian stone/anchor catfish! Hope they do well in my tank! Thanks Again!

We've visited several aquatic shops in the area and have never had an amazing experience until we stopped here. We were immediately greeted and Darin was so friendly and helpful. Pricing on fish was competitive, yes some of the products might be cheaper on Amazon or at a big box store but in happy to pay a few extra dollars to support a local business that's been here for 37 YEARS! Wether you are experienced or just interested in starting an aquarium this is a great place to visit.

Cool local fish store. The owner was very knowledgeable and took the time to talk to us. Bought a 28 gallon bow front for my brother along with a Eheim 150. Fair price and great customer service. I have been keeping fish for 20+ years and I know the owner is much more knowledgeable than I will ever be.

this place is probably one of the Few Aquarium Stores that has the fish in mind, as well as the customer! It's not just about selling a product as it is establishing a rapport to determine how to help you the Best. I came in looking for how to resolve a new tank setup that was killing fish and was visibly looking crystal clear. He suggested testing my water and there was no charge !! I was charged $5.00 for a test through a major chain for a test that was a simple strip test. Darin had me bring both tank water and my tap water. and he gave me a complete test for Free!! I said that's nuts!! relaying to him my experience at other stores. His answer was further water changes. Not, "Oh you need to Buy; this, that or the other will fix my problem. He even answered why I was losing what fish I had. including the fact that My first Pleico was starved to death cause there was nothing for him to eat, IE Algae.... he said wait another 3 or 4 weeks before adding one. Great shop!, Great Help!

First time visiting the store and I was please with the variety of bettas. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. We went home with a lovely betta, highly recommend a visit if you're in the area

We won’t shop for fish anywhere else. We are so lucky to have found Petworld. They take amazing care of their livestock. We have never had a single issue with any fish we’ve purchased there. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and will help you make the best choices for your aquarium. They definitely want to make sure that your fish stay happy and healthy.

Darin is awesome!! He is very knowledgeable and doesn't sell you things you don't need. I took him a sample of both my 65 and 75 gallon tanks and he made sure I had what I needed to get my water in better condition before selling me a fish. He actually cares about the health and condition of your tank! I definitely saw improvements in my tank based on his recommendations. I HIGHLY recommend him. Thanks Darin!!!

Darin was very welcoming and friendly that I felt comfortable being in this shop. He has variety of aquatic plants and so much selection of fresh water fish especially the kinds I look for my nano tanks. The pet shrimps had good colors in them as well. Overall very well managed store packed with excitement of an aquarium hobbyist where I could easily spend an hour or two.

This aquarium store is very nice. The man behind the counter is polite, very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great variety of freshwater and salt water fish stock and also have many hard to find fittings and supplies. I Highly recommend this store. Great place!

Saved me and super helpful! I was looking for a specific size UV sterilizer, which NO ONE else in town seemed to have. Called feeling defeated to find out not only did they have what I needed, he walked me through installation and gave helpful tips! Would definitely recommend!

This store is a hidden gem. I dropped by for the first time the other day and I was blown away by the pure nostalgia - it has a classic "local fish store" feel to it. The livestock selection is excellent and well-maintained; the supply selection is varied for lots of options. Darin was very knowledgeable and helpful, as well. I'd definitely recommend visiting.

Great store, incredible variety of bettas and healthy looking tanks. They also seem to have a more varied selection of freshwater plants than any local shop or chain store in the area. I really appreciated that the bettas are kept in larger containers, and we saw varieties I had only ever seen online. Everything seemed very reasonably priced, especially the driftwood. We'll absolutely be back.

Love this place! Darren is absolutely fantastic at providing caring, attentive customer service. Even with multiple customers in store or different tasks to complete, he is always intentional with letting you know that he is available to help you out with any questions you may have. The fish are unique and very high quality. Definitely worth the slightly longer drive. 10/10 recommend coming to PetWorld for all of your aquarium needs.

The store was nice and clean, well stocked with dry goods, plants and fish. This place has more drift wood than any store I've been in around the DFW. We have become regulars at Petworld. The owner is so knowledgeable and doesn't mind sharing his expertise! We've been in many times and have never witnessed any dirty tanks. It's a great place to buy plants for your aquarium and he gets them in quite regularly.

Went to several places looking for some decently priced veiled or unique angels before coming here. Had already kind of given up, but wow! Lots of angels here! Went home with a pretty marbled veil, and it adapted more quickly (pretty much instantly) to the tank than any of the other inhabitants we have purchased elsewhere. Ate instantly and has been schooling peacefully with our two other koi angels ever since. Currently setting up two smaller tanks for plants and pea puffers, so we will definitely be back! Looking forward to those blue angels... 😍 Also have a great selection of food, equipment, and other aquatic needs. Mega friendly service!

Petworld and Darin have been a blessing! I had spent months trying to find help with the maintenance of my 55Gal fish tank! Then, I stumbled across Petworld and all my worries have gone away! Darin is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to all things aquatic! He keeps my tank beautiful and maintained regularly. Its an added bonus that his pricing is more than fair! This place is awesome from live plants to cool fish! And Darren really knows his stuff very friendly and really helpful, I called and needed to donate some pond fish he didn't hesitate in taking them for us. If you need anything fish related or pond related, go to this place!
