Medical clinic Pediatrician

😠 Office staff are RUDE!! Everytime we asked for info for our baby girl no one seems to be willing to cooperate and to provide info. As the other 1 start reviews says be prepared to deal with rude nurses and staff whom seem to not care about your baby and treat you poorly. Stay away from this office.... People often mention office, staff, doctors, doctor, care, pediatrician,

We ended up transferring out our baby girl to a different pediatrician office.

My baby is 3 months old and this was the worst experience I have ever had at a doctor office, we always loved our pediatrician. And loved the previous one that we had to leave due to insurance. This doctor gives you no rights to choose what you’re comfortable with for your children. He didn’t tell me anything about my baby didn’t go over anything about her health or tell me what percentile she was in or ask if I had any questions whatsoever and left the room when we didn’t agree with what they wanted for our child so he didn’t care about my child and left the room instead of caring for her and making sure we were set. Very sad day as a new mom.

This pediatrician came well recommended from friends we respect, but the doctor wasn't the right fit for us. My husband is a nurse practitioner, and I've noticed that some physicians can be dismissive of his concerns. I find it very unprofessional. A doctor should listen to any parent, let alone a parent who sees and treats patients daily. We're not helicopter parents or overly cautious, but we are pretty well educated. We are also both not afraid to advocate for our son to receive the best standard of care. Ultimately we just didn't feel like we had found that here. The final bill arrived months later with no information about the charge. I'm glad we moved on. If you have a newborn leaving NICU with continuing concerns, I would suggest you visit elsewhere that is more attentive and open to dialog.

Doctors are undoubtedly amazing here ! We have been going there for years . However , recently , I’ve started to notice the office staff has become rude and always in some hurry to provide accurate information . Two days back I called their office to know the time for Flu shots , which they told but never care to let me know that it is only being given at the Brownsboro office . I took my toddler according to the day and time told to me at their Shelbyville road office and office staff very arrogantly asked me to go to Brownsboro office ( as if it’s too close or parents have whole day for this ). The notices about this specification was just pasted on the office door . I would just suggest them to have little patience when dealing with parents . After all you are Paediatrician office and soft skills is the most important in this field .

First off I will give the doctors all the credit in the world. Every doctor we interacted with seemed to know their stuff and we always felt like they cared about our daughter. In that light I don't think you can find a better place to go. Unfortunately it is all the other stuff that pulls them down. They have been in business for quite a while, and honestly it does not seem like they are investing in the business anymore. The building is just run down, every room seems to need some kind of repair. Just depressing being in there. The support staff just seems burnt out, a lot of unfriendly people to deal with before seeing the doctors (feel free to look at other reviews to confirm). Calling in would sometimes require a hold of 30 - 60 minutes. They also do not use any technology that you come to expect from a doctor office. No MyChart access or online scheduling. Vaccine requests for daycare always seemed like pulling teeth, never were able to get through on the first request. Even something simple as transferring the child's records to a new pediatrician took 30 days, they wouldn't send to the new doctor, we had to pick up and deliver ourselves. When we showed up after they called they couldn't find the paperwork and we had to wait for them to print it all off. Which makes you wonder if they could just simply print it off while we waited why did they need 30 days? In the end we just couldn't overlook all the small things and looked elsewhere.

Dr. Hinkebein is so great with our kids. Any time my kids are sick the office sees them that day. We have been going for 9 years.

My kids all went here. My daughter's loved Dr. McCormick as he always was very attentive to them. Even once they were older. My oldest got super sick at 22 yrs old and had been to a couple of different adult doctors and to the hospital 3 times and she was afraid she was gonna die. I talked to Dr. McCormick office to see if they would still see her and we were there the very next day. After about 15 minutes of him listening to her symptoms, he ran one test and realized she had Mono. So he is our hero! Yay Dr. McCormick! She is 33 yrs old today. My other daughter had wisdom teeth pulled and got very sick and had a horrible headache and an odd rash and no one knew what it was. She was 17 and thought she was too old for a pediatrician but it was that pediatrician who figured out she had Viral Meningitis and Shingles and told us to get her to the hospital and he would meet us there. She is now about to be 32 and a registered nurse. My son was born premature and had ADHD and O.D.D. and absolutely loved Dr. Davis! They bonded in their love of cars. He also talked to my son about his favorite TV show which was The Dukes of Hazzard. He is now 29. We started here when they were young and loved close but even once we moved to the south end of town, it was always worth the drive. Love these guys and thank them for being such wonderful doctors!

We have been with GHC for over 25 years. They not only took care of my boys but now care for my grandchildren. Dr. Nick is the absolute best! I have had nothing but great experiences with all of the doctors. :)

If the other reviewers mostly have issues with office staff not doing their jobs properly, they ought to write letters to the physicians. I have used the doctors in this practice, particularly Nick Hinkebein, for over 19 years. Best doctors we use, and can always get in the same day for emergent circumstances. While the building is not updated, it has always been clean when I've been there. If you check out FB group recommendations for pediatricians, Dr Nick always seems to have more than other doctors. They allow consults before you ever use their services, so I would suggest this. I don't choose professionals based on office staff....sometimes office politics does not allow for replacements....and in this economy, it's not always easy to find good people. However, Dr Nick is not only a very good doc, but he's "good people."

The staff and physicians are nice BUT it’s really difficult to reaching the office. Wait times are 30+ mins, any day, any time, to reach someone about an appointment. The office is so dirty! Like… newborns come here, children come here. The walls and floors are so dirty. Walmart’s public restrooms are cleaner and more put together than this place. I’ve been going there for 4 yrs, and the first year was awesome, but the place has definitely been deteriorating! Since it’s privately owned, please….. all the money that’s being made, invest some 🙂
