A great overall experience. The food was great. Not afraid to make it very spicy if asked. Traditional favorites with a few twist. Like tandoori pizza. Staff were very courteous and nice. The ice cream came in flavors. I have never heard of. Tried a few. Was very good. Only negative was the dirty restroom. Would definitely eat here again.

The food was beautifully presented but not very tasty unfortunately. It was VERY expensive for the product provided. The dosa is basically a $14 grilled cheese, the korma had no flavor and the veggies used in it were obviously of the cheapest frozen variety. Would not recommend/ won’t be back.

Update: 03/11/2023 1 star upgrade . I have tried this restaurant recently again and things have improved from my previous visits. This time I had tikki chat and then butter roti & dhaba style chicken curry. Food was delicious and also quantity was good enough for two person. I would like to mention their new waiter Kaushik Kumar who is very friendly and prompt in his work. 7 months old: This place opened recently and we wanted to try it. Went with friends. Staffs are courteous and attending. Food was OK and bit expensive we felt based on the quantity. We ordered below: Indo-chini sizzlers which was tasty. Navratan koram- good Crispy corn- not good. Paneer kadai- OK Naan- ok Masala lemonade: OK ok. Price : expensive compared to quantity. Rice provides with the curry was just for name sake. Washroom was not that clean. Management should consider this as well. Overall it was good . Not sure if we would go again though.

had no idea this place opened up recently. It was perfect for a mid day lunch since a lot of places close between lunch and dinner. They helped us pick entrees, their menu is HUGE with an amazing selection. Everything we ordered was delicious!! Come with an appetite because it is filling. I wanted to keep eating more but was so full, have leftover I can't wait to enjoy. We will definitely be back soon. We also tried the mango yogurt drink they have pre-made in the counter by the register. they have ice cream as well, but didn't try it this time. decent size restaurant with lots of seating. Staff was very friendly!

I had the pleasure of dining at a Sankalp restaurant last week, and I must say it was one of the most amazing meals I have ever had. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. First of all, the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. It was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. The decor was tasteful and classy, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing and we felt at home, in India. Now, on to the food! The menu was vast and offered a lot of variety of South Indian and North Indian food. The dishes were authentic and flavorful, and the portions were just right. I especially loved the appetizers – the samosas were crispy and filled with delicious stuffing, and the pakoras were crispy and spicy, just the way I like them. Mysore Masala Dosa you was amazing, never had idlis so soft and fluffy. The Sambar and variety of chutneys, we’re out of the world. For my main course, I opted for the chicken tikka masala and it was just perfect - succulent pieces of chicken in a creamy tomato-based sauce, flavoured with aromatic spices. It was served with fluffy, buttery naan bread, and I enjoyed every bite. The service was on point too - our server was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The owner also stopped by our table to check on us, which was a nice touch. Overall, I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone in search of delicious food and excellent service. I will definitely be back!

Clean restaurant with nice food presentation. Dosas are nice, with good chutney options. Sambar is okay. Ice cream seems to be bit overpriced. Should consider dropping it by 1.50$ to attract more customers.

Honestly speaking, I have been to many Honest Restaurants across the states and by far this one offered better food and good service. The wait is usually long because they are always packed but the staff does everything to make sure you're taken care of. The food tastes much better and seems fresher than other restaurants. If you're in town then definitely give this one a shot!

The food was amazing, we came for a trip to Louisville and we visited more than 3 times for dinner. Friendly service. We had Manchow Soup, Paneer dosa, Crispy corn, Chicken biryani. Everything tasted good 👍. Hot Brownie Sizzler taste, im speechless. Overall I can say 4.8/5. The portion of biryani can be little more also when we say more spicy it tasted a bit raw. Those 2 things need to be taken in consideration, Rest and all is good. 👍

A perfect stopover if traveling from Chicago and going to Tennessee. We had planned our stop over for our trip to Gatlinburg thinking there was a Honest Restaurant but to our surprise found out that they had started this new restaurant in its place a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious hence we stopped over on our way back to Chicago as well. We had dinner the first time and ordered Punjabi food, the curry and the rotis were delicious and served piping hot. A couple opposite our table had ordered Hyderabadi Dum Biryani and it piqued my son’s interest as it was made in an authentic style. And nor the plating or the taste disappointed us. There was whole masala and gravy with veggies and basmati rice. The entire meal was scrumptious. For our way back it was lunch time and given the vast menu and umpteen choices we decided to switch it and try Dosa and Idli. The paper Masala Dosa was served with Sambhar, Green Coconut Chutney, Coconut Chutney, Garlic Chutney and the Masala on side. The Dosa was crisp, buttery and delicious. The sides served with the Dosa was equally tasty but the Dosa by itself was drool worthy. Mini idli and Medu wada, was okay, have had better at other restaurants. While paying up we spoke to the owner and he shared he was from Skokie and I urged him to open a Sankalp in Chicago as well.

Best food in Louisville with lot of BBQ, sizzler,street food with veg and non veg options,In summer time please try Falooda.Lot more choices then I can mention here,so far tried since place is open and very satisfied.

The food was absolutely delicious!! A lil spicier than what I'm used to. Our waiters were polite although, at first the one that seated us seemed a lil agitated. It was a very quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. Overall we had a nice experience. A lil pricy, but it was worth it💯😘

The restaurant was good, the food was delicious, the only complaint I had was the customer service, they were very busy, the place was crowded and the service time seemed too long.

We dined during their dinner service.The food was mediocre. They did well with adjusting to the appropriate spice level. Servers need additional training. Atleast 2 servers walking around and sipping their drinks in the dinning area. Im pretty sure that's a food safety issue. Server was very arrogant. When asked if we could keep a menu on the table just incase we wanted to order more, he told me not to spill food on it like I was a 5 year old. When I pointed out a mistake on my bill I was told that somebody had peeled out the sticker of the price change on the menu. When I got home I noticed 3 other items were incorrectly charged. Please check your bill it seems they are dishonest and make up ridiculous excuses as to why they overcharged you. We will not be going back!!

Food was so good we ordered chicken 65 and tandoori ,naan with kadai chicken everything was good which is unexpected I really liked the ambience and the hospitality

We went there for lunch we liked the food and service can be improved a lot we ordered a biryani it was like 30 min but we still didn't get it we asked to cancel it but the people denied it, I think service can be improved a lot there is a dish named balti it comes in bucket but it's the same or less quantity as regular curry dish.

Very interesting Indian restaurant in Central America in Louisville, They have all kind of food verities Veg and non veg options as well street food and Perfect place for Falooda and Aam Panna.If big group of people confused to find out spot for choices this is the perfect place. I ate here for the first time two weeks ago and have been back twice since then. The food is fantastic and a great price. I’m loving trying new North Indian dishes each week. My favorite dining experience in Louisville to date.

First time visit - loved the experience and the food! We ordered Chicken 65 for an appetizer and I also had a cup of Rasam soup before the main course arrived. Both were yummy! For main course, I had a non-veg sizzler - absolutely loved it, especially the fish, but every single piece was tender and delicious. Naan - great! Husband had garlic, I prefer plain. I also wanted a light veggie something, so Aloo Tikki Chaat filled that need. Fresh, zesty, and flavorful. We'll be back!

The food is outstanding. If you don’t like it spicy at all, make sure they know that ahead of time! Great variety of dishes. My friends from Kerala love to eat there, because it tastes like home!

Servers can do a much better job. Atleast, the customers should be welcomed while seated with a smile. Everytime i visited the restaurant, their faces are dull. They don't come back to check on the customers if we need anything more or if we like the food. I feel there should be more communication with the customers for a better service.

If you're looking to explore beyond the traditional Idli Vada then Sankalp is one of the restaurants in Louisville I'd recommend. Their Dahi Sev Puri is a must try for the Chat lovers. Our overall experience was great and if you're eating here after reading this review then don't forget to try their lip smacking Dahi Sev Puri.

We came for a trip to Louisville for 2 days, we tried lunch in this restaurant, The food was delicious. I tried manchow soup, crispy corn, pav bhaji, veg Jaipuri curry, laccha paratha, egg fried rice. My palette was really satisfied after eating over there. Crispy corn was not upto the mark, but remaining everything was amazing. Excellent service, atmosphere.
