My wife and I were looking for a good place to eat that was locally owned. I got the breakfast burrto with ham and hash browns. I had a choice of homemade salsa or picante sauce with my burrito and I choose the salsa. The homemade salsa was unbelievably good. My wife ordered the French toast and there were four pieces. The bread pieces were big and thick and they took up the entire plate. The portions were big and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. It looked like the business was family owned. The cafe is located in an old small firestation. This is a small "hole in the wall cafe" which for me, is what I loved about it. It is a seat yourself cafe. The atmosphere was obviously a fireman theme. Great food, good service, and we will definitely go back.

Took 4 of our friends to the Firehouse for brunch today!!! Our first time since they reopened. It was excellent food -super service and very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get!! My take home box is another meal for me! My husband had a happy plate -no take box for him. Our friends really liked it, too! They gave it a 2 thumbs up! Excellent waitress and we remembered her. If you haven't eaten here before-GO NOW!!!! You won't be sorry!!!!!

Really cool old firehouse repurposed into a family restaurant. Good atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Large portion sizes, especially for the price. Around definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy. Best I've ever had. 5/5 across the board, would come again.

Quick, efficient, great food. Place was packed which is a good sign. Waited a few minutes & then a table was cleared. Overall a great experience. All of our food came out quickly & hot! $$

Stopped in on our way to Wichita from Great Bend. The food here was SO good and the portion sizes are hearty. Service was on point. Food came quickly and was delicious. Best breakfast we've had in a long while.

The final diner on our 15-day driving excursion, Firehouse Cafe had a lot of competition in our minds, but it came through with flying colors, tying for #1 in our hearts and bellies for this trip. Set in an actual restored firehouse, serving great food and coffee, THE LOCALS KNOW what a gem it is and the place was filled with people the whole time we were there.

Breakfast for 2.5. Two adults and kiddo who got a side of sausage and a chocolate milk. One adult had a breakfast burrito and one had what I think was an omelette and coffee. $50 for what we thought was way overpriced and just average food. It was very busy downstairs was full. The service and staff was amazing. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was disappointing.... Really were hoping for something s little special.

Breakfast was cooked perfectly. The French toast was excellent. Nice hearty omelet. Love the old fire house. As a former volunteer firefighter it was pretty cool to see.

Food was typical nothing special. Hadnt been there in years. Breakfast burrito was sad for the price. It tasted ok but no bigger then a bruams grande burrito and didnt seem as freshly made. Salsa wasnt to bad just ask for more from the beginning. Service was good she was around alot.

Great food, fast service and you'll for sure leave full. Seating can be challenging at times, but worth the wait.

Friendly staff, great food. As a current firefighter in Texas, I can really appreciate the history and atmosphere of this place. You definitely won't go away hungry either.

Brought my Dad for Father's Day breakfast. He was a firefighter for over 30 years, and worked at a fire station similar to this one. Lots of history here. Really cool place with tables, booths, and community/large tables. Pretty big menu, and the food was delicious with large portions. It got crowded fast on Sunday morning at opening time. Bring your big appetite!

Great place with great food. Cool atmosphere and great employees also. We had very good service here, food was fast and tasty. Neat decor too. Would not expect it to look like that from the looks of the building outside. I don't think there is a bad thing on the menu. All of the food from the kitchen looked very good. You cannot go wrong here. We are from out of town and like to support local when traveling so we chose this place. Very good!

Today we went in for what is probably about the sixth time since we moved here. Without a doubt this is the best, most consistent restaurant in Hutch. The food has been good each time and it always comes out piping hot. I think it's one of Hutchinson's gems.

Out of the all the times I’ve been to Firehouse Cafe, I’d give it an average of five stars, so that’s my rating today. This last time we visited was probably more like 4 stars. The grits were totally lacking in flavor. And my wife’s dish was less good than it usually is. Overall it’s still a favorite and we’ll be back, but I hope the quality isn’t slipping.

Delicious food and friendly service in a cool renovated firehouse. Most breakfasts are $8-12 for a large portion.

Quaint Cafe with amazingly fast service. They were busy when we got there but tables were emptying and filling quickly without fail or long wait. I ordered the French toast and it was delightful. Everyone's order came out quickly and correctly. They are definitely efficient at running a smooth operation. Thank you for the wonderful food.

One of the best breakfast spots in town. My job makes a point to do a work breakfast there every other Friday and the food always leaves us satisfied. The ambiance of the whole place is also great. Love that it's actually in an old firehouse, slide pole and everything.

This was a nice / neat place to eat. It is a converted old fire station with many neat objects left over on display from its previous role. The wait staff was nice, food came out reasonably quick and the prices were great. Be ready to eat because the portions were very generous. We will definitely eat there again!! Thanks!

This is my first time going to the Red Firehouse Cafe since they reopened. I can say, without a doubt, they are the best breakfast place in town. I really enjoyed the food before, now I absolutely love it. Not only do you get generous portions for the price, but it is delicious too! Not to mention the friendly and amazing staff, and relaxing atmosphere. Truly the best bang for your buck is right here. The saddest part about this is that I am only allowed to give a max rating of 5 stars, otherwise this place would get tons more. So from my own rating system; 50 out of 27, would recommend. Keep up the great service and tasty food!
