Food
was
fine,
but
we
likely
won’t
be
going
back
as
there
are
too
many
great
Mexican
restaurants
in
town
to
spend
time
and
money
at
a
place
with
middling
food
and
some
frustrating
aspects.
I
had
the
Enchilada
Monterrey.
First
off,
it
was
super
small
and
skinny.
Not
Taquito-skinny,
but
halfway
between
a
normal
enchilada
size
and
a
Taquito.
I
almost
wonder
if
there
was
supposed
to
be
two
of
them
and
the
kitchen
forgot
one.
My
wife’s
enchilada
(Steak-something)
was
twice
the
size
of
mine.
The
other
odd
thing
was
they
had
an
upgrade
for
the
Enchilada
Monterrey
called
“Add
Fajita
Chicken”.
Like
a
normal
person,
I
thought
that
meant
that
they
would
add
additional
Fajita
Chicken
on
the
side
or
give
a
double
meat
portion,
but
it
was
actually
swapping
out
the
normal
chicken
in
the
enchilada
and
“upgrading”
it
to
fajita
chicken.
So
it
was
very
poorly
worded,
I
thought.
It
should
be
“Substitute
Fajita
Chicken”
or
“Upgrade
Fajita
Chicken”
because
it
certainly
wasn’t
any
adding
of
additional
chicken.
Finally
their
black
beans
were
so
bland
and
watery,
I’m
80%
certain
that
somebody
had
too
much
on
their
plate
and
simply
forgot
to
add
the
seasoning.
It
tasted
nothing
like
the
savory,
flavorful
Mexican-style
black
beans
I’m
used
to.
There
wasn’t
even
a
touch
of
salt,
it
was
just
beans
and
water,
not
a
hint
of
any
other
flavor.
Fortunately
my
wife’s
enchilada
was
delicious
and
she
wasn’t
that
hungry,
so
I
was
able
to
finish
hers
off.
If
I
hadn’t,
I
would
have
left
very
hungry
and
disgruntled.
Once
again,
the
size
difference
in
our
similarly-priced
enchiladas
was
very
bizarre.
