I found Metropolitan Coffee while I am here in Hutchinson working on a construction project. Staff is awesome, and they make a better product than Starbucks and Scooters. I highly recommend going to Metropolitan Coffee.

We were really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food here. Owners are very polite. Very spacious location. Coffee tastes just right! The prices are very reasonable as well. There’s plenty of space available to come sit down and read a book while you’re enjoying your favorite coffee. I felt like they could make the seating area a bit more cozy with adding some booths. We will definitely pay a visit again!

What a wonderful local and independently owned coffee shop. I loved the cozy and peaceful atmosphere and the very satisfying beverage. However, my favorite detail is the fish tank by the entrance that holds a very friendly parrot fish. The little guy won my heart upon first site. So... stop by, purchase a tasty beverage and say hello to my little fish.

Quick service and great tasting coffee, muffins, scones, hot chocolate for the kids. Would go again. They had books to read and plenty of board games to play. Tables were clean and place was cozy.

This place gives me hope that I can bring a coffee shop to my home town. They serve good coffee, they have regular decor and furniture, they have games and books. They have a steady stream of customers who come in and chat with their friends. They must have had a new person training as our drink order took a bit longer than it should have. And they filled the coffee a little too full (gotta leave a little room for cream or at least ask if people want room.)

Such a cute little coffee shop. We loved everything about this establishment. From the small trinkets, to the coffee and staff. I wish we had a coffee shop like this close to our home.

My wife and I met our daughter at Metropolitan because it is about halfway between our cities. We ordered our drinks and they were ready within minutes. All were as ordered and delicious. The entrance is accessible, but some raised sections would not be.) (There was a woman there in a wheelchair and she could go most places including the accessible restroom.)

We had their baked goods and they were good. Ordered a vanilla latte and it was basically milk with sweetener. Also ordered an iced coffee with sugar free syrup. It was terrible. Tasted like tea with a terrible sweetener. Would not recommend for coffee.

Stopped in for some coffee before our kiddos bowling tournament and I didn’t want to leave!! From the homey atmosphere to the cuuuute items for sale, all the way down to the board games and books!!!! I could have stayed all day. I ordered the Iced caramel latte with an extra shot of espresso and paid $2 less than anywhere in my hometown. 10/10 for the experience and atmosphere

I normally come here during the winter months. Today I stopped in to get prices for catering a back to school teachers in-service. The prices were amazing and the owner knows how to really go the extra mile... litteraly! She will bring and set up all for any party locally. She can do so many different kinds of coffee and teas. So happy!! Not to mention this hot chocolate is AMAZING!!

I got my coffee fresh made from the barriesta. Went and sat down at a table and zoned out doing work on a table. It was a nice quiet atmosphere. I looked around and a couple people were reading. Another table of 3 playing scrabble. A couple sitting on a couch waiting on their order. Great place. Good coffee. I got a banana bread and it was good. Definitely will come back. It's a nice local coffee place

The staff was not very friendly, they were acting like they didn't want to be there. They don't greet you. I ordered a flavored latte and the flavor was just okay. It was mostly milk - my drink was almost white and they didn't ask what kind of milk I wanted. It was also the wrong size. The bathroom was disgusting, there was feces on the toilet seat running down into the toilet bowl, it honestly looked like a truck stop bathroom. The cafe atmosphere could be a little brighter, but that's just me personally. I like that they sell things from local merchants and artists. There's a lot of potential and we need something to rival Starbucks across the street, but there's a lot of room for improvement.

What an absolutely delightful place! I wish we hadn't had to rush off. The space is inviting. The coffee is delicious. And the pastries are both homemade and inexpensive. Support local coffee!

Great shop! Coffee was excellent, baristas were cheerful and pleasant and it's a great vibe with decor and furniture. Well done.

When i walked in I was pleasantly taken aback by the rustic decor of dark woods, tastefully mismatched furniture and varying small nooks and seating arrangements. It has the effect of being interesting as well as inviting. The only major detractor from the wonder i would normally have felt was the dust! It was everywhere except the serving and eating areas! The coffee and food are quite tasty; although they seemed to make one of two assumptions. 1.) I would either want my cinnamon bread cold or 2.) would automatically know where the microwave was... tucked out of sight (unless you're scanning for it) between the edge of the bar and the wall as it is. Overall, it was a semi-pleasant experience, but when I go again, I'm going to scan for cleanliness before I order.

A favorite go-to coffee for Hutch locals. The Metro is your classic coffee shop offering delightful coffee drinks in a relaxing environment. Get out of your car and savor how coffee was intended to be enjoyed.

Staff are always nice. The coffee and tea selection is great and cheaper then Starbucks across the street. Pastries are tasty. Very warm and inviting inside too.

My go to coffee place in Hutch. But oddly only 3 stars. I've experienced coffee houses in many locations. What holds Metro back is the general ambivalence of their staff. Two years of near daily patronage and they almost never speak. Scuttlebutts has the exact opposite issue...wonderful staff who actually remember you and what you drink...but a lousy roast choice and cold coffee randomly. Wish I could combine both places. I can't tell if the staff is just quiet, or actually resents customers. But I keep going back. Partly I wonder of It's just me, and maybe I've been spoiled by some excellent coffee house experience....but I doubt it. Huge props on the coffee...it's best in Hutch. * EXCELLENT COFFEE * AMBIVALENT TO THE POINT OF SILENCE, STAFF.

My $5 medium vanilla latte is pure syrup and whatever kind of cream that is. It’s really gross. Quick service though!

Great drinks, and snacks! Great customer service. We enjoyed dinner live music by J WHEELZ with our mocha's and blue berry muffin. They have dairy free options as well! Which is a huge plus for me.

Cute hometown atmosphere and very sweet staff. Loved my scone! Knocking off a star because they totally didn't put espresso in my iced latte... So I paid for vanilla milk 🤪 I didn't realize until I left, but I could hardly fault them. It was busy and there was just one girl working.

Their coffee is great, their customer service is wonderful. Their not expensive to where I can actually get a cup of coffee with no worries about how much it will cost. They are way cheaper than Starbucks. I always get the Iced Caramel Mocha with whipped cream on top. I highly recommend this place I 100% love this coffee shop!!

Only bcuz there was nothing less than 1 star. The counter help didn't seem to want to be there and I found one of his long brown hairs in my muffin. The coffee was very bitter. The atmosphere was, well it left a lot to be desired. Go to Starbucks down the street!

Metro is great. I love the small town coffee shop feel, but with all the menu items you could want. Wish more places like this existed. Seems like the chains are taking over.

I was doing laundry next door, so I love to try different coffee shops. I had the Maya Angelou latte, very good. My husband liked the brownies.

We make sure to always stop here when we're passing through. It's one of my favorite coffee shops. I normally get the white mocha latte and my husband normally gets an iced latte. They have never disappointed!
