DNC is one of my favorites places to be. It's usually not packed but there are times during the summer where weddings take place and the parking lot will be full. You can fish there. There are benches to sit and watch the pond. I like taking my dogs to walk there through the trails. There are little markers to help you not get lost if you are worried about that. It's very peaceful. And pretty decently sized. There is a visitor center in doors. But I have never been in there. The bathrooms are in there. This is a HUGE place to take pictures for all kinds of events so just be aware of that during the end of the school year, senior pictures. I come here on my lunch breaks and read too.

A little treasure in Hutchinson! My kids and i traveled to Hutch for Cosmosphere (totally recommend) next day wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather. Dillon Center has small indoor interactive educational area and then outdoors they have so many activities- play area for kids, pond for fishing, and nature trails. All free. One of my kids’ favorite places we stopped at.

Beautiful place. Very quiet and serene. Nice paved trail around the pond. Other gravel trails that I haven't tried yet. Maybe on my next visit. I'll be back!

Beautiful place! Had a wonderful time spending the day there with our granddaughter. She loved feeding the ducks and turtles. We really enjoyed the indoor interactive children's center.

Nice park with some short trails and a fishing pond. Near the highway and railroad tracks so it can be a bit noisy. Well maintained facility and adjacent to a longer trail to the north and northwest. Great stop for the family.

I loved walking the nature trails here. It is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. It was great to see couples and families enjoying the beautiful weather and all that was offered to do here like hiking, fishing, the nature center, etc. Very well maintained also.

Neat little place to sit and let your mind wander and enjoy a bit of nature. There are some grass trails cut through the fields adjacent to the nature center. Good for walking, OK for trail running.

FREE and a great place to let younger kiddos hang out for a couple of hours. There is a great interactive nature exhibit for those really hot or rainy days. Bring in a couple of quarters for turtle/fish food and go feed the wildlife!

These pictures are from the bridge that will take you over to the Nature Center. Updated photos. Show the pond lower than I've ever seen it.

😠 First of all, you should be letting people with babies know the baby pool is closed. I politely asked how long it will be closed, and she smarted off about how she doesn't know anything about it. Like.. you work here and you are the front desk, surely they've told you something. Also the pool is ver...

😐 This camp ground off of Hwy 7 in Hutchinson is really beautiful if you need to stop on your way to the cities or over here for some reason. The only draw back at this time of the year is that the beautiful green park behind our camper cannot be enjoyed due to the tremendous amount of dog size goose...
