I
really
wanted
to
help
out
the
nice
manager/owner
with
a
decent
review
as
his
friendliness
was
refreshing.
The
lobby
was
in
decent
shape
(not
like
photos,
though).
And
the
price
was
lower
than
other
hotels
near
by,
which
is
a
plus.
However...
I'll
start
with
the
electrical.
I
noticed
problems
with
the
lamps
in
my
room
as
soon
as
I
arrived.
They
posed
a
real
risk
of
electrocution,
possibly
fire
risk.
They
were
metal
lamp
bases
with
electrical
outlets
in
the
base
hanging
loose,
exposing
the
wiring
to
the
metal
base.
A
wrong
touch
and
zap.
I
informed
the
manager,
stating
I
didn't
need
new
ones,
but
they
needed
to
be
thrown
out
immediately.
We
left
for
dinner
and
when
we
returned,
someone
had
gone
up
and
plugged
them
back
in!
So
they
didn't
even
seem
to
understand.
There
were
so
many
fire
code
violations
in
our
"newly
renovated"
room.
I've
attached
photos
of
some
of
the
electrical
problems,
these
are
only
a
few,
the
most
serious,
of
what
I
observed
in
our
room.
The
microwave
had
to
be
unplugged
to
stop
running,
so
we
were
afraid
to
use
that.
The
back
of
the
toilet
was
loose.
There
was
no
working
fan
in
the
bathroom,
though
there
was
a
mystery
light
switch
that
didn't
do
anything.
On
a
related
note,
curious
black
splotches
were
on
the
walls
of
the
bathroom
(mold?).
The
floating
PVC
flooring
was
nice
&
new,
though
not
correctly
installed
(either
the
subfloor
wasn't
leveled
or
it
was
put
in
too
tight
and
was
bowing).
Some
skylights
were
broken
with
duct
tape
over
the
holes.
There
were
ants
all
over
the
room.
The
safety
of
the
guests
seems
to
be
completely
disregarded
in
other
areas,
as
well.
We
went
to
use
the
pool
the
day
before
we
were
scheduled
to
check
out
and
there
was
broken
glass.
Obviously,
this
isn't
the
hotel's
fault.
I
reported
the
glass
to
the
manager/owner.
He
swept
up
the
glass
near
the
pool
and
said
his
maintenance
guy
had
already
vacuumed
the
pool,
so
it
was
safe.
However,
clearly
visible
on
the
top
step
of
the
pool
was
a
chunk
of
glass.
I
pointed
it
out,
and
he
insisted
it
was
completely
safe.
If
you
know
anything
about
broken
glass
in
pools,
you
know
how
hard
it
is
to
fix
the
problem.
It
is
most
definitely
NOT
safe
to
swim
with
glass
shards.
We
had
finished
the
reason
for
our
stay
in
Hutchinson,
so
we
just
went
ahead
and
packed
up
to
leave
a
day
earlier
than
planned.
When
I
took
the
room
key
to
check
out,
there
was
a
family
headed
toward
the
pool.
I
stated
again,
there
is
glass
in
the
pool,
you
need
to
close
the
pool
(usually
2
hours,
unless
local
code
expressly
states
you
have
to
empty
it
&
dry
it
completely).
Or
at
the
very
least
warn
people!
I
absolutely
could
not
believe
he
was
allowing
people
to
swim
with
broken
glass.
I
really
hope
no
one
got
hurt.
We
reserved
6
nights
in
June
'22,
stayed
5
of
them.
We
paid
eighty-five/night
(including
taxes).
I
really
think
it's
only
a
matter
of
time
before
someone
staying
at
this
hotel
is
seriously
injured
or
worse.
Please
stay
somewhere
else!!!
