Let’s talk SUSHI! I’m not a hibachi fan so I only went for the sushi only. It’s worth your time and $$ to eat sushi here!! The Jayhawk roll is delicious btw!! Conveniently located with lots of parking. It felt like I’d left Topeka and entered Japan. Check out the whole place for beautiful art and art pieces. Loved my experience.

From beginning to end the total experience was nice. The establishment was clean and welcoming, the staff friendly. Our chef was definitely experienced and personable. The food of course is fresh and plenty ( huge portion s) being they make it right in front of you. Thumbs up!

Some people have been hard on Kiku because of the menu prices, but they give you a delicious meal and one heck of a show. If you are looking for different options than a movie and fast food this place is worth checking out. I've been multiple times and haven't been disappointed yet!

I ordered to go. I guess with to go orders you don’t get the salad and soup? I ordered the steak and chicken combination and it came with fried rice. That was about $26 and some change. It was okay but maybe it would be better dining in.

For the gluten-free people out there or other allergies, they seem very workable. They do allow for people to bring in bottles of gluten-free soy sauce or teriyaki. They are very accommodating in that regard. Our server (not cook) seemed a little less accommodating, but not too bad. I'm sure it is a one-off staff experience. Since we came in right as they opened, we were able to get a table just ourselves so they could keep it totally gluten free. Out of respect for the company, I do recommend not expecting this on peak hours. Nave essentially have the same experience as many hibachi grills around the country. Overall A rating.

Side salad consisted of lettuce a few pieces of shredded carrots and something that looked like Thousand Island dressing. The Mitsubishi soup barely had any flavor. The rice was undercooked, the vegetables tasted better. Sesame chicken was pretty good. Servers were pleasant and friendly. On a good note, the soy sauce tasted good.

Absolutely amazing! I had the K.C. strip steak and it was absolutely legendary! Also very entertaining to watch them cook the food.

We love the atmosphere of this place. Everyone is really friendly and the staff was very entertaining. We went for our anniversary and they offered a dessert package that included a song and photo with a delicious piece of cheesecake. It was well worth the few bucks to have that special moment. The fried rice is my favorite. It's cooked in front of you and has a great flavor. The sushi was fresh tasting and the wasabi complimented it well. Appetizers of soup and salad are included with the meal. It's smaller portions so it doesn't take away your enjoyment of the main course, but it's enough to enjoy. Every time I go there it's been a pleasurable experience. We found it heart-warming to hear kids laughing at the chef using the oil to make a fire on the grill. They always seem to be able to provide a unique and fun experience for the kids and adults.

Had a good experience eating here several years ago. However, this time, not so good. Staff seemed unhappy and completely untrained. Food was good, but not great! Think Gordon Ramsey needs to make a visit, if they’ll accept him!!

I love going here to eat. You get excellent service and great food. They give you enough food that you can share a meal and still take home some. I had the steak, (New York Strip) and chicken meal. I split it with my daughter and we both thought it was juicy and tender. I will say it is somewhat more expensive than other places but you don't get the service or amount of food at other places. I would recommend this restaurant for a couple to a party.

Fantastic eating experience. Cannot say enough good things. Chef and host/waitress were awesome and attentive. Large portions. Salad , soup, and dessert all included for a good price. Try the House Special. Great for kids also.

Very good place to visit. Only problem is consistency of chefs (Sometimes veggies are cooked throughly, sometimes they're still crisp; different chefs add different amounts of seasonings to rice; some chefs are very engaging, some are very boring; etc). Steak and chicken is always amazing but they only do fish well done and it's always overcooked. Sushi is not top tier but it's pretty good considering we're in Kansas. I keep going back so that says something 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

It's a great place to take your family. This is the 2nd time we have gone. My kids love the show and the food. My youngest is a huge picky eater (drives me crazy some days) she was still able to find something she liked!

Advise your cooks to wear HAIR NETS when cooking! 3 bites in & I find 2 very long hair in my to go order throwing away and I’m furious. What a waste of $25 !! Rice was bland. Took a picture of the second hair as I jumped from utter shock when I discovered the first one.

Worst Japanese steakhouse I have ever eaten at. Cook didn't do a show at all, no yum yum sauce, very bland rice, then chewy stringy chicken thighs. It was inedible and certainly not close to worth the price. When waitress asked if everybody was okay because we werent eating i politely said its the ckn and its mot edible chewy, held up the strung together chunks. She just walked away. Sge came back with the check and asked if i needed a box. I politely said no, we can't really eat this. No sorry just walked away again. After i paid i asked if there was a manager, she rolled her eyes and said up front. Spoke to manager and just got 15 percent back. I was so sad to use our monthly eat out budget on this yucky food with terrible service.

Definitely overpriced for the food. Felt crammed and semi uncomfortable to be sat at a table with another family. Food was mediocre at best, not the greatest flavor and rice was rather dry. They seemed to be rushing us out rather quickly and did not even allow us enough time to finish our food before bringing us boxes. Probably won’t return for a long time, wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Great food! Fun experience. The chefs do an amazing job interacting and messing with the patrons. Slightly on the expensive side and confined table space. It's always interesting sitting next to someone new and sharing experiences!

During my time walking in with my partner, we were greeted by the attendant. A server came up to seat us and attempted to place us between a family of seven, so we told them we didn't ask for hibachi. The server yanked the menu from the plate she had placed it under and stomped past us to seat us near the sushi tables. Clear attitude. While being served, we were given a relatively kind waitress, young and not knowledgeable about what was served in the restaurant. She admitted to only serving in this establishment for one month. The table we were seated at, was NOT clean at all, with soy sauce spilled on the table, and sticky sauces on the side of the table, it was clear the table wasn't even wiped down. The waitress did not attempt to check on us without us having to wave her down, new is fine, however, a waitress still needs to check for empty drinks or new orders. By the time we finished our meal, we requested the second menu, to apply for more assorted sushi rolls. She didn't explain that we only had such time to request before the bar closed. So we requested the hibachi menu. Unfortunately, she also didn't explain there was a time frame for that as well, for a Friday night, this establishment closes at 9:30 pm. The last order call is at 9 pm. We were told 10 minutes after 9 pm that they were closed for orders and we needed to pay ( we had no problem paying, we had a problem with how we were talked-at, and know informed or talked to, like a basic human being. The aesthetic of the restaurant is on point. The staff is well below standard.

We went to eat with our grandson who has dairy and egg allergies. Got good service the first two times. Some one even gave us 10 off our meal. Went back again told them again about the egg and dairy allergies told us we couldn’t eat there again we wasn’t welcomed to eat there again because we got a free meal. Which is a totally lie. We only got 10 off our meal and we didn’t even ask for money back. We have ate there plenty of times and spent alot of money there. We just tell them every time about the allergy so they are aware. Will never eat there again. Grandson was upset how they told him he wasn’t welcome there to eat.

Always love coming here any chance I get. The service is always friendly, inviting, and very fun for all ages. It's a little on the pricey side, but overall it's a place i am willing to spend a little extra to enjoy with my family and have amazing food. Always on my top list.
