I shared a birthday with my niece so she decided she wanted to dine at the Kona Grill in Eden Prarie. What a wonderful experience. The food was great, but what made the experience even more spectacular was our waitress Michelle. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy including Michelle. We were a party of 11 and you would have thought we were the only ones in the place. Michelle was pleasant and attentive to us the whole night. She smiled throughout her encounter with us and catered to this large group flawlessly. After our dinner, we found out that she had been at work since 10:00 a.m. that morning and it was now 9:30pm. Thank you so much Michelle for making our Kona Grill birthday experience worth it all.

This amazing restaurant in Eden prairie is a must visit. The ambiance is fantastic, the staff are humble and helpful. The chef do a wonderful job. I have gone multiple times and they don’t disappoint. The cost is on the higher side it taste is amazing. They have happy hours as well. Just opposite to the EP mall towards target. Try them.

Loved the experience. Great service. The bartender was serving that area and he was very courteous, attentive, and engaged in conversation. Food was good. I would definitely go back.

Eunice’s five star quality service made our Kona Grill experience a great one. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt taken care of. Her high quality customer service and sparkling personality will have us coming back again in the future.

Our server and what we ordered was fantastic! Although, when we entered the hosts were too busy discussing things that they didn’t greet us right away - which was unfortunate. We stood there waiting for them to finish a conversation. Instead, acknowledge us that we are there and that you’ll be right with us. They seemed to be in high school or younger so perhaps they didn’t recognize. Our food was fabulous. We came last minute on a Sunday evening and was still impressed that our server catered to us as if she was just starting her shift. We ordered the surf and turf and the NY strip is delicious - especially with the sauce on the side. The crunchy tuna roll was also on point. Thereafter, we can 2 more days in a row and ordered the same thing and it was the same every time. Definitely go there to try the steak and sushi!

Great atmosphere! I love the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I came here for the first time last week and I was not impressed. I ordered the cucumber salad, lobster Mac and cheese, rice and California Roll. The cucumber salad and the California roll was probably the best but the quality tasted rather cheap vs the price. The quality doesn’t match what they charge for each item which I believe is extremely overpriced. The rice I got was super hard and tasted as if it was heated and the Mac and cheese was extremely cheese and it tasted very similar to crafts Mac and cheese. I don’t think I would return. However, I had Sake that was citrus lemon and it was absolutely amazing!!! Best sake I’ve ever had.

Outstanding in the flavor department everything from the appetizer to the main course. Some of the best ribs I've had in a long time literally the bone slides out. The Asian slaw is on a whole new level you could literally sit and eat a whole bowl of it. Definitely save room for the carrot cake it was a beast of a dessert and took three of us to polish it off. Service was helpful and took the time to explain and recommend items on the menu.

Food is decent. Pad Tai was a bit greasy but still good. Sushi was lovely. You can tell they put a lot of work into the sushi.

I’ve been going to Kona Grill for years ever since it opened. I now live in the east metro but continue to drive back to Eden Prairie to visit Kona Grill at least a few times a year. They have an amazing happy hour and bar area. Some of the best sushi. The macadamia nut chicken is to die for! I’d definitely recommend. Plus they now have brunch!! What more could you ask for?!

Came here for restaurant week and I'm happy we did!!! Our server was AWESOME, she had great conversations and suggestions. The food was so good!!! I ended up ordering off of the happy hour menu, which included a great selection of options. I had the crab roll and chicken & shrimp lettuce wraps and LOVED them both! We also had a salad that was to die for! The salmon was so flavorful, green beans had a sauce that made my mouth water!! The bathrooms were clean, clean!! Don't hesitate to use it!!

Our waitress was soo sweet. she did a great job making sure we had what we need and refilled our waters. Something so simple can mean so much. Everything was delicious. We r thinking about coming back to try their brunch.

The Picasso roll was great! But not as great as our server Lucee! She was friendly, attentive, and had menu recommendations we loved. Will be returning!

Came in for happy hour today for a date night away from our newborn. Marty was our server and was absolutely amazing. He recommended great things on the menu, was prompt to place the orders and get us refills. Marty was also very nice, easy to talk to and make our experience special. We live up north but can't wait to come back for the Bama Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Avocado Egg Rolls! 😋

I have high expectations for a nice restaurant in Eden Prairie. This area has a bunch of options for great places to eat. Kona looks beautiful, not high end but current. I ordered a Moscow mule served in the traditional copper cup. I can't describe what I didn't like but probably wouldn't order one again. I had a fire dragon role and my wife had a macadamian nut chicken dish. They looked and tasted good, not my favorite but good. What I struggled with was the annoying techno music they played. It didn't match the feel of the place or its customers. Kona, switch up the music, give another 10% effort on the food and drinks and I'll bump you up to 5 stars.

Great food. Table was dirty. Dirty table aside, sushi was tasty, edamame was spiiiicy. Would def go back.

The food is amazing, the staff are amazing and the whole atmosphere is just a great place to be. My husband and I went out Friday night for a night away and Michelle was so attentive to everything we needed! She was friendly, responsive and checked in at just the right times! She made a great desert suggestion too- the brownie which was fantastic. Loved working with her!! My husband gets a surf and turf and I get the macadamia chicken which are both so good. The deserts are even better!

Wonderful place to drop in for a nice & quiet atmosphere to still get work done. Happy hour menu was an added bonus as the chicken satay was delicious. Our server Anna was attentive & happy to help.

Went with a couple of girlfriend for a reunion and had Laura as our server, but really everyone from the people at the front door, the bartender, and anyone else who brought something to or removed something from our table were great. We were able to have great food (all opted for the Restaurant Week options), and just kind service as we laughed and caught up. Many thanks for Laura, and all of the staff

We decided to go out on a busy holiday on Mother's day. We made reservations before going a few days in advance. We didn't have much of a wait to be seated at our table. We were advised about the wait time for food, but we did not have to wait until the expected time, it was less! Our waiter was awesome! Very attentive, friendly, and just plain awesome, he oozed what customer service should be! I had such an enjoyable time eating out on a holiday, which we never do!! Keep up the great service, food was delicious and the roses after dinner was a pleasant surprise! We will return in the future.

Had a great time. Food was ok for the price. My opinion it wasn't any better than a place with the price half as much. Average ombiance with average food and medium to high prices. Staff was nice but we did sit for what seemed like a Long time before anyone Even came to see us after we were seated.

Love going to Kona every time for happy hour and brunch, both with family and co-workers. Food quality and price are great. Last few times we've gone for dinner we've had the same waiter, Dustin, he was very helpful in suggesting dishes and nice. The atmosphere in the patio can get very loud at times, so we like the other side a bit better.

We had an amazing waitress Michelle, loved the compliments she left and how quick she was to order our food and the refills.

Date night! One of our favourite restaurants. Bar staff are great! Best rum cocktail I've had in a while -- I think J made it with a lot of love! Menu has improved nicely since the COVID slump and the prices are more reasonable than many of the restaurants in our area. #girlydrinks

Went to Kona for a birthday brunch and had a great time! The food was amazing and the margarita flights were so good and got our day started right! Gabriel was an amazing server! Enjoyed it so much and will definitely come back to check out the happy hour.

Sushi Rolls were great and the service was very good. Server's were all high school/college age young men that much to our surprise took exceptional care of our party.

We stopped in after a visit to the mall. Overall, it was a great experience from the food to the service. They had some great options to chose from. We had a side of fries and an order of potstickers to start with and those went fast! The kids especially loved the fries. I ended up ordering the shrimp tacos. I suppose I must have skipped the spot where it mentioned that it comes on lettuce leafs instead of a tortila, which ended up being fine. It was a bit hard to handle and eat since the leafs weren't super study, but it did taste delicious. Also, it was a much lighter dish than expected and my body appreciated that. The kids ordered pizza, which they also liked. My wife ordered what I think was the Poke Bowl with chicken, which was great as well (had to try it myself). Definitely worth a try!

Great customer service! The Menu was a little overwhelming but Danielle really took her time to explain the drinks to me. Settled with a Raspberry Mojito! So delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderfull place! Abby or Abbie, was our waiter and she was fantastic with her service. Very friendly and attentive. When water was low, she knew when to come. Food was good, although the mash potatoes were a bit dry, they were consumable. We got our orders mixed up among us, and the manager gave us free desserts! We saw four people standing at the front and talking instead of cleaning the dirty floors, but maybe it's their job description. But yeah. Overall, it was a good experience.

Ordered on Doordash and estimated time was pretty spot on. Got a poke bowl with tuna and salmon and the cucumber salad. The salad is the perfect combination of vinegary and sweet, and the bowl has such a great sesame flavor. Everything was delicious and the portions were great. Would definitely recommend.

Very VERY DELICIOUS! So glad we came! Our server (amya)was attentive and made excellent recommendations. She made sure to be be aware of my food allergies and took them seriously (a rarity) The manager (amy).brought out shoyu sauce for hubby's steak..it was excellent! Check it out!!

Laura from Eden Prairie was my server and she did a fantastic job with everything! She was so kind and accommodating and greeted me with a smile! The food was delish not to mention beautiful, you could tell so much love was put into it—especially the avocado egg rolls! It was a pleasant experience and I highly recommend Kona for any date night out or dinner out with friends.

Enjoyed Dinner at Kona Grill with friends. The food was good, service was ok, environment was nice and relaxing. Between the four of us, we ordered the Strip Steak, Ribeye, Salmon, and the French Dip. The steaks were well flavored, though thinner than I like. They were cooked on target. The Salmon was cooked more than I like, but was very good and coated with a sweet-chili glaze that was to die for. The French Dip was supposed to help shredded parmesan on it and did not; otherwise good. I ordered a Manhattan; not sure what it was. It had Bourbon and cherry juice, but far from a Manhattan. We drove 40 minutes to go to Kona. Overall a good meal. Not so much I would go out of my way to go back, but I also would not avoid the restaurant if asked to go there.
