Last fall I dropped off two sets of awnings with fringe to be replicated. I picked up both sets all done (very nicely done) I paid $223.34 for two sets on Jan. 28, 2022. Unfortunately, hubby lost the one set and brought the sample down to get a new one remade. Now they called him last week and quoted him $483.19 for one set. Price gouge? I think so. I called and told Jim that we paid less than half for two set just 5 months ago. He claimed that there was a 30% increase in materials and labor....blah blah blah...But remember, the $223.34 was for 2 sets....and they are charging me $483.19 for one set? Excuse me but that is a 400 % increase. I was going to have them do our pontoon bimini and a boat cover this fall....but will have to find another place. Jim did say that he was going to try to find the invoice...but then never asked me how to spell my last name (it is different than hubby's). So, my faith is running low.

Had Tarps Inc modify my factory boat cover to accommodate my new trolling motor. They did an excellent job, match the color and fabric of my existing cover perfectly. Reinforced the corners as well. And It only took a day to do. 5 plus stars!!!

I gave 5 stars because the cover turned out great. Just some things to note. Their communication was just a little up front. They asked me to bring along the original cover that I did like and we talked about what I was looking for. They told me when to drop it off and they would have it done before the weekend. At a cost of around $700-$800 . I called on friday to see where things were at and got voicemail all day. I'm guessing something came up. I drove by that friday night to see what was up. I could see my boat inside as they had prior stated it would be. I could see the material was all cut and laid out. When all said and done the cover was around $950 . I wasn't surprised though as they added a motor cover that my old one had and additional reinforcement where the support rod runs down most of the length of the boat. A couple of things they would not have anticipated in their ballpark quote. When I picked it up it had the buckles sewn as requested and more than the original. The cover looks great. Bottom line, they made a great cover as good as I could have expected, even if the communication part wasn't the greatest, they know what they are doing and I'm very happy with the results.

I love this place ! I had them repair my pool cover that I was told by my pool guy was not fixable . top notch work. I had them make a custom boat cover for my 1977 mirrocraft turned out awesome . the owner could not been nicer, i went in to get a few spring fasteners that they don't usually sell but because he had a few in the back he just gave to me for free because that the type of guy the owner is.... really isn't a nicer guy. the heavy duty fasteners broke from the heavy snow and the repair held without any issue!!! would highly recommend to anyone looking for tarps, pool covers, boat covers . really great quality work with customer service that you just don't see anymore ....

To expensive for tarp that made from 7 different pieces of tarps. Paid $520 for 6 feet tarp.

Jim and the team were efficient and did a great job. Front, back and convertible cover for less than some quoted me for just the front and back. Quality work and materials delivered on time.

I made an appointment and brought in our boat for a bow and cockpit cover. They completed the work in 2 days. Quality was better than OEM. I'm very pleased with their price, professionalism and quality of their work.

Today I bought tarps from this place and I’m not happy with the quality, the material they use to built tarps is very weak and it tears down so easily, I already have holes on it , and I just bought it a few hours ago, and they are so expensive I don’t recommend this company , if I could I would return the item back to this place.

Awesome job repairing my boat tarp. They even added reinforcement to the entire oem area that was beginning to show signs of wear. The tarp still fits perfectly.

Tarps made a custom boat cover for my boat this fall. The front desk personnel were very helpful in helping me choose a fabric for the cover.

They made me a boat cover, and a grill cover. Both are awesome. The boat cover is a trailering cover and is now three years old. It isn't showing any wear and still fits nice and tight, even after extensive use. My grill cover is wonderful too. I got sick of buying a new Weber cover every year so I had these guys make me one. It hasn't cracked at all, and remains flexible in sub zero temps. I grill all winter so having a cover that doesn't get damaged in the cold is great. I will definitely be a return customer.

I have used this company many times in the past. They have made full canvas covers for large boats that I’ve owned the covers cost thousands of dollars. Today I was at their location in Savage and I needed to buy material for a boat cover and they refuse to sell me the material even when I said I would pay them whatever they wanted for the material. Stay away!

Fantastic. Needed a custom tarp for my new utility trailer. No one better to deal with. The have made me custom outdoor kitchen and grill covers, patio furniture covers and other trailer covers. Great guys and good pricing.

They made me a simple canvas cover for my console and it was reasonably priced. Friendly and recommended highly.

I feel like I was not taken good care of at Tarps. I bought my first boat and asked Tarps to make me a new cover. I had a J-Clip style cover that they couldn’t repair. I told Tarps I did a few out of town trips a year along with local trailering. Tarps steered me away from a J-Clip style and suggested a snap cover instead (due to cost and being superior for my use case). I didn’t get 5 minutes from the shop before losing 10 snaps. Tarps sewed a pitch pole in the bow to help break the wind but I still lost snaps. They suggested drilling more snaps into my boat to anchor the cover. Tarps said the snaps might have issues at high winds but even at 45 mph on a calm day my snaps don’t hold. I got multiple other professional opinions and all agreed that both the quality of snaps was inferior and the placement of the snaps contributed to the issue (above the rub rail). I kindly asked Tarps for a refund as I clearly explained my trailering use and they provided me a product that was insufficient. They denied my refund. I contacted my credit card company asking for reversal but it was denied because they said I came to Tarps asking for a snap cover which is 100% false. Now I’m out $1100 PLUS the cost to repair 30+ snaps in my boat PLUS needing a new cover. I would suggest others go to other shops if they’re in need of a new boat cover. I’m so disappointed with my decision to contact Tarps. As a new boat owner I trusted them to provide me a product for my use and was completely let down.

The tarp they made fits snug and seems to be of decent quality, however water pools on the top, unfortunately they created a valley instead of a peak to keep water off. Second issue, the tarp was supposed to cover the entire side of the boat to protect it from the sun during storage and it was made one foot too short on both sides (they have agreed to correct this mistake). This was a specific request when I brought the boat to them so I would not have to double tarp it for protection. Update 9/11/20: They have extended the sides of the cover and re-positioned the poles so it will shed the rain. They did a great job of taking care of the couple of issues and I am extremely happy with the result.

I highly recommend Tarps for every residential pool owner. Thanksgiving night (2019), a deer leapt over the fence surrounding our backyard and ran across our pool, tearing the cover in two spots. When spring arrived, I asked a friend in the pool industry for a referral and he immediately recommended Tarps. The repair work was done professionally and quickly. They even charged me LESS then they estimated when I sent them photos of the rips and tears in my pool cover. Great customer service.

I don’t write many reviews, but i had to on this. Jim and his crew made me a new boat cover on my 19ft ski boat. They did an AMAZING JOB! worth every penny! The craftsmanship of the product is amazing! I have a wake tower on my boat and they custom fit the cover so it was 100% sealed up! Not only does it look good my boat its also protected from all the elements while stored outside during boat season!
