🫤 Never seen a doctors surgery so full of negative notices. No staff on reception desk. Large notices everywhere say DO NOT APPROACH THE DESK so left to stand for over 10 minutes until they can be bothered to deal with the patients who pay their wages. Absolutely appalling service that's almost impossible to get an appointment with. Their phone number simply does not work for me at all on my own phone and the Patient-Access website that they have referred me to is such a complete mess that I have been unable to complete my registration with it. It doesn't recognize my e-mail and yet it claims that this same e-mail is already registered with them and that's only one of the many problems I encountered with it. If I do use the phone to make an appointment (on somebody else's phone obviously) It can take hours and even then you still have no guarantee of getting through and getting an appointment set. Is it any wonder that I'm losing my faith in the health system and am starting to give up on my medical health when they make it so damn hard to get anything done about it? I can only imagine that so many other people are in the same boat and that's actually rather concerning.

Obsolute joke of a practice. Try and get an appointment is impossible. You ring an automated machine to request earliest possible appointment to be told no appointments available. I phone 6months ago and spoke with someone. They said it would be 3 months. Not fit for purpose. Update. I left practice. Brother still there. You now have to ring at 8am to get an appointment that day. He said on the one occasion he needed an appointment it was impossible to get through as there’s so many ringing at the same time. When he did the appointments had gone. He’s also going to leave.

Before recent incident might have given them a whole 2 (once you do get past the reception staff GPs good) but oh my not now. If zero was available they'd get that. Bad night, no sleep have a 6ft 4 Autie who pushes through sleep most nights. Also suffering with a flare up of painful otitis externa. Gets into my lower face bones. So already stressed, in pain when arrived at surgery. Apologised for being 15 mins late (had to settle my son before i could rush there in cab) still had 15 mins of my allotted time slot though. By time stood in line while 4/5 staff crowded in reception booth...time ticking away. Spoke to R. Who then dealt with another patient behind me? Before going to see nurse for me. Took her 15 more mins to come back!?? Then she saw to another patient before shouting over Sorry you were late nurse won't see you. I had spent £5 to get here!? Not a small sum for a carer! Really annoyed & upset. Amount of time I've waited to see a doc or nurse there!! Saw two members of senior staff. Neither took my feelings or stress into consideration. The appt had been arranged by Walton Neuroscience Centre because of my painful ear condition that i was suffering with! And these 'gateway staff' were blocking my access to it! One was smirking the whole time we spoke. The other was not up to the job & kept telling silly obvious fibs. Started a complaint. Then today opened a letter from the surgery. A Dr Z informing me that i have been banned from the surgery! Took them a week to write it. Can only assume they've heard of the formal complaint i have made about the behaviour & attitude of the staff. Both myself & my son have meds on regular prescription so this is another stress from them, to get a new GP & records sent over in time before we need new 'scripts! Oh & all relatives were banned too!? I assume they mean my Autie son!? My parents may actually still be patients there for all i know. Do not have contact with them. Abusive cowardly pair you're welcome to them. They will sit quiet on appts I'm sure, but used to physically, mentally & emotionally abuse me as a child. But what does that matter eh? All about who puts up & shuts up. Well that's not me. Comes from my past abuse i will not be quiet! Or just let things go! Everyone jokes about how bad doctors reception staff are. But having to deal with 3 members of it together at same time, & just you on your own while ill, is very stressful. 2 emails since received from them: Dear Blah Blah Our records have been updated to reflect that you are no longer required to act as a Registered Online Service User for Blah Blah. Yours sincerely, MILL STREET MEDICAL CTR. (What that means??? No idea. Don't care. Have registered at a new Docs) Dear Blah Blah Your Online Services account has been locked. To access your account again, please visit the practice to confirm your identity. Yours sincerely, MILL STREET MEDICAL CTR. (Again what now?? Don't poke the bear. Or i may just turn up. Funny though they said in their You're Banned from this surgery letter that i had 28 days from the 11th Jan. And if my son needs meds before my new docs registration is up & running?? Well will have to contact his Clinician directly. End of GPs soon enough. What with diagnosis by Google. Middle bit obsolete.)

I'm writing this review after being with this GP (on and off) for about 30 years. My parents and brother are also registered here, and they also speak as highly of it as I do. In all that time, when I needed a doctor, I've never been refused an appointment. I have some chronic, long term diagnoses that need constant maintenance and medication adjustment, and I don't recall this practice ever letting me down. Occasional delays were noted during lockdown, but there have been delays everywhere. It occured to me today to write this because there are too many people who only review a service when something has gone wrong, and it makes a place look bad. I am reviewing to say that I get treated well here. I feel like they're looking out for me. From receptionists to lead clinicians, they all seem to care... if they don't then they missed their calling on Netflix. My thanks to everyone at Mill Street 💜💜

The phone service at the medical centre is inept.I Was sent a letter asking me to contact the centre via the phone. After 2 hours and 60 calls finally got through to the answering machine and placed in a queue where I was informed I was 3rd in-line. After 20 minutes of waiting I was cut off by the answering machine. Called back instantly and was greeted with the busy tone. This is not the 1st time I’ve been cut off when waiting on hold. I will look to change doctors as soon as possible.

Terrible service , never seen a doctor just a phone call if you're lucky! Fobbed off with any amount of pills and just left to suffer.... disgraceful situation.

Friendly and helpful reception/admin staff. The GP’s/nursing staff are fantastic too! I don’t often need an appointment but when I do I never have any trouble! Personally I use the e-consult system which I think works perfectly! Thank you.

Zero service. Zero care. You call at 8 but the phone lines are switched off til ten past. Then stuck in queue position for 35 mins before giving up. Shocking. Drs literally want us all to die these days I'm convinced

Diabolical service, reception staff all tell you different information even when you make it clear you need a face to face appointment. Even after that you're fobbed off with a telephone appointment which is no use at all for patients they need to be seen face to face. When you try ringing for an appointment you cant get through for atleast 20 minutes cause the phone is switched off which according to the manager I'm a liar. So I have them calls recorded and also other statements from other patients. Throw out warnings like their toffees for their staffs mistakes. so now I'm taking it further cause after speaking to the manager again she still ignored everything I said and just did not care. So now I'm going to be letting the papers now and anyone else who will listen. Mental health is important and the NHS and doctors are disgusting how they treat people with it. All my calls are recorded so start telling the truth

Had some worrying issues, such as mistakenly not being notified of heart failure, lost letters etc. Recently I gave up all hope with Mill St until Dr Zia came through and with unexpected brevity produced a letter that might change my life. So all is forgiven for now. Also worth mentioning that the practice was in turmoil when it merged with another pracctice and the GP's from that practice all left. There began the downfall when a genuinely good surgery was simply overwhelmed by patient numbers and further hindered by shockingly inept locums. E.g one locum blamed my boots for pain when walking which turned out to be a vascular issue related to my heart. Another failed to recognise a severe chest infection entirely until I was forced to see the on call GP who recognised it at once. So these locums compounded the problems. Thats the reason, its not the regular doctors or bad management. It has however taken a long time to fix and still isnt right. Looking at the difficulty getting through on the phone it took me 4 minutes yesterday, so would suggest calling at times less busy rather than calling 60 times continuously which might only make things worse and clog up a busy system. If only 10 people did that and called 60 times like the last reviewer thats 600 calls! they could have thousands of calls comjng in an hour. Why add to the contact issues and dial with consideration instead of as if its a life or death situation, it might be for someone.

I have today received excellent service from Mill Street Medical Centre. The staff were polite and friendly. I got through straight away on the phone and my issue has been dealt with straight away. Great service.

My experience of the medical centre has been good. I have been a patient there for a long time and seen many of the doctors. They are really good. The receptionists have dealt with all the situations I have presented them with in a capable and polite way. It can be difficult to book an appointment sometimes.

I cannot fault this surgery. I have never had a problem when it comes to getting an appointment. They have been especially brilliant with my one year old daughter who has been quite poorly these past couple of months.

The receptionists have always been great with me particularly Vanessa and Julia. I have a few chronic illnesses and always have to get in touch regualry when different things happen. I bet they're sick of me 😂 they're always very nice with me and deal with me in a timely manner. I appreciate it a lot. Thank you!.

I find the Doctors very supportive. It is a large practice with many patients and I feel they do their best. The receptionists have a difficult job and can be very busy but they have always been polite and friendly and have done their best to help me! I too have heard tales of other surgeries and I would not change !

Fantastic surgery! Always able to access appointments. Lovely, friendly staff at reception and fantastic doctors and nurses who are so caring and truly listen to your concerns. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better GP surgery. Thank you to all.
