I attended SWEAT DC for about a month and a half. I mainly joined because of a deal/challenge they had provided unlimited classes for about a month. I am truly not one to workout consistently, but this motivated me to! Classes are fun and different and you really feel the workout. I never workout long enough or consistently enough to see results, but I did here! I wish I was still attending, but it got expensive for me (I'm a student!) plus, I am no longer in the DC area. I have definitely thought about my moments there and miss it. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to do workouts with a lead and structure and challenge! I was a beginner here and I stuck it out!! It was so much fun doing it!

Overall a good class and place to work out. The vibe is intense and a tad overwhelming. Also I did lightly injure myself because the instructor pressured me into doing more than I knew I could. There’s no time built in for stretching in the class which was definitely not great for me. I think maybe don’t come here if, like me, you’re just starting or restarting your fitness journey.

I have been a faithful member at SWEAT DC for over a year now and it is the best gym I've ever been a member of! Everyone, coaches and clients alike, are so friendly and really create an inclusive, accepting environment. The music is great and the workout classes are full of energy! I particularly like the addition of the STRONG classes - lifting heavy and watching myself get stronger is so rewarding.

I LOVE Sweat DC! It’s everything I was looking for in a gym. It feels like a personal training session in a group setting. The coaches and front desk staff are top notch- they’re supportive, encouraging, and just really nice people. They know your name and take the time to establish personal connections. I enjoy the workouts (they’ve pushed me to work harder than I ever have) and can already feel mental and physical changes in 6 weeks. I like the Sweat DC routine and how it’s the same each class but the exercises change and there’s fun equipment to use too. I didn’t think I would like having to schedule/sign up for each class but it has actually forced me to be more consistent with my workouts and establish self discipline with going on days even when I don’t feel like working out (afterwards I’m always glad that I went!). Thank you Sweat DC for the opportunity to be my best self and of course, get sweaty! ;)

I loveeeee this place. I don't like working out and they make it joyous, fun, and communal. I liked it so much I got in incredible shape over a summer and didn't realize I'd dropped so much weight and built muscle until I put on a pair of jeans. However, I stopped going because their prices went up and out of my budget.

SWEAT DC is a community. It focuses on strength training with an emphasis on progressive overload. They’ve recently expanded their HIIT classes. Most group classes are held between 6-8am, 12 noon, and 5-7pm. In between those times, you can book a personal training appointment with talented male and female coaches. I’ve been extremely happy with Nina (Andreina) and I might reach out to Malika next! I’ve been coming here for about a year. I was new to strength training and weight lifting and I’m glad that I started with personal training to focus on form. Then I graduated to the classes. If you’ve done strength training before, you will likely be able to jump in feet first. I was scared to do that and I definitely would have been overwhelmed if I had tried to do classes only with no intro training first. What I love about SWEAT is that the staff here make an effort to know your name. That’s unusual anywhere. It’s also an intentionally super-inclusive gym, with rainbow and BLM flags proudly displayed. The SWEAT team has actively worked to build a wonderful community where everyone is welcome.

This is definitely a great workout place and the classes that they have here are awesome! I arrived here Saturday morning at 9am for my first visit, and the class was full. There was a class at am which was slightly late for me. definitely an interesting concept and I think that the instructors make all of the difference here. My plan now is to return tomorrow, this time coming early. This gym is happening!

SWEAT DC is the best gym in DC! I attended classes/intro sessions at 4 other gyms in the Petworth/Capitol Hill/Columbia Heights area when I first moved to DC before finding SWEAT, and I can say that there is no comparison! SWEAT DC has a great schedule of affordable classes - each class will keep you moving and your heart-rate up for the full class duration (other gyms I tried only had limited movement during the class, or were ridiculously expensive for only a few classes a month). I have been attending classes for almost a year now and I am stronger, more flexible, and have more endurance then when I began, to the point I am adding more weight to my workouts when I never thought I would! The instructors are also top notch - they know the gym members by name, pick great workout music, and are incredibly motivating. They push you to do your best, while adapting movements for you if you ask, without being pushy. I love their positivity and daily inspirations. Overall I am so glad I found SWEAT DC in my neighborhood!

Had an incredible first class at SWEAT DC through a work event. Our trainer, Tamar, was incredibly encouraging and positive. The workout was intense and covered both upper body and lower body which I appreciated. I will definitely be coming back to SWEAT DC!

SWEAT DC is a great group fitness studio that focuses on proper strength training. If you’re new to the gym space but want to start lifting, this gym will set you up for success. The coaches are awesome at what they do, the atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging! If you’re looking for a new home, where everyone will know your name and get strong at the same time…Sweat DC is it!

I love starting my week at Sweat DC when I can. The classes are motivating, challenging, and help me feel more confident with weight training. Bonus that both the coaches and other class participants are so friendly and make sure everyone feels welcome and ready to do their best work. They've also been helpful with double checking my form when something didn't feel right. I have to walk two miles to get to Sweat and keep coming back because the energy is unbeatable.

This is an excellent place to workout. I've been coming for about a year and a half now and have noticed great results. The instructors are great, the music is lively, and the equipment is top notch. 100% recommend

If you want an intense workout that will get you in shape quick, this is it. Great vibes, coaches, music, etc. Highly recommend. Suits various fitness levels, but even a college athlete wouldn't want to take more than one class a day.

The workouts are challenging, and the atmosphere is positive and inclusive. The coaches are proactive about providing amplifications/modifications and have great energy.

I have been a member of SWEAT DC now since May 2021. I love this place dearly. Seriously challenging workouts with super supportive coaches and a great atmosphere that makes me feel like family. Worth every penny I spend on their “unlimited” membership. I go every weekday before work and never have trouble parking. I take a mix of their Sweat X (HIIT) and SSC (strength training with weights) and love having the flexibility to build my own schedule. I anticipate being a member for a long time to come!

I took my first ever class this past Saturday. Pros: Great music ! Instructor was inviting , did well with circulating the classroom, and encouraged participants to engage with one another. Tv visuals to see exercises. Cons: Parking is journey. There is only one bathroom. The workout seems to be premade and did not give many alternatives for individuals who are not beginners. I say this because the TV screens did not show progressions or regressions. Price point- I am current member of LifeTime and for the price point I have access to multiple gyms and alpha classes and it still would be more affordable. It was overall a good experience and it would take another free community class.

Fun spot to actually lift weights in a guided class. They demonstrate the moves and prep you for a good lifting session. Only way I can get stronger !

This is a damn good gym. I will say that I have not necessarily fell in love with every class, BUT i love the welcoming environment, texts, emails, website. The most negative thing I have to say about it is the location. The harassment getting to it is insane. There’s catcalling every time which is draining. I’m sure this isn’t their intention to make female customers feel unsafe but I do wish there were some security or something. My only other con is I wish there were classes that were specifically for intro people. My friend and I did a class today focusing on upper body but it was definitely not beginner friendly in our opinion. So we won’t do that class anymore. The HIIT classes tho.. those so far have been AMAZING & beginner friendly!!

I love this gym! I've been a member for about 4 months and I feel like I finally found a place to keep me motivated. Everyone is very friendly, it feels like a community. I went from never using my WSC membership to showing up 4 days a week at Sweat DC. If you're looking for a neighborhood gym with a great class schedule and awesome instructors this is it! Ear plugs are provided free and I always use them since I find the volume a little loud. But that's really my only complaint.

SWEAT DC is an AMAZING full body workout with great instructors who always have high energy, positive attitudes, and passion for what they do. They offer a wide range of classes for whatever you are looking for. The instructors are very accommodating if you have an injury or need a modification for any reason. The members are very friendly and offer a "community" experience every time you go. Not to mention the studio is always spotless and smells great (very important in gym). Branden Allen is one of their best trainers, although they are all amazing. GREAT GYM!

Great instructors that push you to focus on becoming the best version of yourself. I took two 60 minute classes and one 30 minute class - all were challenging but I loved the fast pace of the 30 minute class the most. We rowed, hit the ropes then worked our cores on the floor. #feelingstrong

these workouts are fun and challenging - the way exercising should be! highly recommend taking classes with Sergio. he's extremely knowledgeable, high energy, has a great playlist to help you keep pumping, funny, and the best pilot to GAINS-ville!

I travel for work for a few months at a time so I've tried many different gyms. Not that it shows. Anyway, there are 3 parts to why I love Sweat. 1. The coaches. The coaches are really friendly and are great about making you feel confident/comfortable with new types of exercises/weights. I've witnessed this with everyone, no matter your size or experience level. 2. The workouts. I love that their workouts are designed to prevent injury. The workout has a prep session to get you ready for the bigger part of the workout with similar movements. I think too many gyms lose sight on the importance of proper form preventing injuries. 3. The music. If I had one, i'd sell my first born to get access to their old school playlists.
