This has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants! The staff here are so nice and the food is awesome! I love coming here! My favorite dish is their Shrimp Montese. It’s not included in the name, but it also comes with crab meat. So, so good! Another great thing about this place is that you get a large portion and it’s inexpensive! 5 stars all the way!

My friends and I went here for dinner last night and we had mixed opinions. My friend and I enjoyed the baked ziti, but my other two friends were dissatisfied with the pizzas and salads they received. Additionally, the service was quite slow, especially when bringing out the checks at the end. The other two locations in Chevy Chase and College Park are superior.

Don't let this restaurant fool you from the outside. It's at the end of a shopping mall. As soon as you walk in you start to realize you are at the happiest place in Silver Springs. I was greeted right away by an energetic young gentleman (wish I got his name). I let him know I was just visiting town and he gave me some ideas for dinner. He had the kitchen start making my dinner before I even sat down. My table server was quick and very kind. He got my Pepsi and water as soon as I sat down. Then out came the Cesar salad and garlic toast. Every piece of lettuce was crisp, no wilting or brown pieces. The toast was delicious and the side of parmesan oil mixture was perfect. Now the best part the actual dinner. I had the Pasta Brunello which was fantastic. The vodka sauce was delicious, the mushroom were not over cooked, the chicken was a little dry but the sauce more than made up for it. The bowl came out super quick and was very hot to start. The portion was more than I could eat in a single sitting, and that's saying something. If your still reading this review, just go and eat, you won't regret it.

My shrimp scampi came with 3 pieces of shrimp and barely had any sauce. I recommended this to order at work because I love the penne vodka so much and it was an embarrassment. Literally just a bowl of plain noodles

Ordered Shrimp Bada Bing This is $19. Where's the rest of the food? Who the hell charges six pieces of shrimp for 19.00?

We ordered pizza lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, lasagna, kiddie Mac and cheese and chicken caesar salad. They were all good although the carbonara was a bit too oily for me. The staff were attentive and friendly. We will be back.

I was pleasantly surprised with this establishment. From the outside it appears to be just another Italian wannabe restaurant in a strip center but the food was delicious. The carbonara rivaled the dish I had in Italy and the fettuccine bolognese was well prepared. Another reason not to judge a book by its cover.

Definitely not what you except from the outside. The food was so delicious from the bread to the actual meal!!!!!! They have a good menu for everyone. I think i found my new favorite restaurant. Although they were busy the service was great no long wait time. I just wanted to keep eating when i was full

I had a great meal at Mamma Lucia! We had a party of 7 and were immediately seated on a Saturday evening. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Everyone's food was delicious. The bread and oil was delightful! My dinner, pictured, was the chicken brunello. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Fantastic creamy marsala sauce and a perfect amount of mushrooms. I wish I was local so that I could order it more. I'd definitely return to this restaurant!

There was more crab and scallops but I dug in so fast. This plate is called seafood asparagus. Comes with penne pasta, mushrooms, crab, shrimp, asparagus and scallops. It was DELICIOUS! I was so satisfied. We also got bread and salad before the pasta came. You will not be disappointed !

It was good. $18 for the food shown below. It was fine, decent enough portion but kind of small for the price. It was a pickup order. The bread wasn’t so good (toasted a bit too much) and there weren’t many meatballs in the sandwich either. Also $0.95 for only 5 olives as extra addition. Definitely won’t get that again. Also the marinara that comes with it for dipping wasn’t so good (kind of bland). The fries were the best part really. To bring down cost maybe offer the sandwich only, with maybe a bag of chips. It’s close to my workplace so may return but for a sandwich this size I’d expect a lesser price even with current inflation. The service was very friendly though.

We’ve been coming to the Silver Spring Mama Lucia’s location for over 16 years. The atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff, and the consistently good food always keep us coming back. For a time, we had lived just across the street and went here more frequently. Now we live about a half an hour away, but still make it a point to come back to this great restaurant as often as we can.

Mamma Lucia is a fantastic Italian restaurant that I highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The menu at Mamma Lucia is filled with a wide variety of options to choose from, including classic pasta dishes, wood-fired pizzas, salads, and more. Everything is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. One of my favorite dishes is the Linguine Frutti di Mare, which features a generous serving of fresh seafood tossed with linguine pasta in a delicious garlic and white wine sauce. The pizzas are also outstanding, with a crispy thin crust and a variety of toppings to choose from. The atmosphere at Mamma Lucia is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and tasteful decor that adds to the overall dining experience. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend Mamma Lucia to anyone looking for a great Italian restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Whether you're in the mood for a romantic dinner for two or a fun night out with friends, Mamma Lucia is the perfect choice.

Only got pizza and fries but I never had a cleaner tasting pizza. All ingredients were very fresh. Even the fries tasted like they were cooked in brand new grease! Highly recommended

Andy was very pleasant and welcoming me and my coworker to his establishment. I was told the owner is from the Bronx and the first thing I said was "he must be from little Italy 🇮🇹 in the Bronx by Arthur Avenue." My slice of pizza was a taste from home. I will definitely be a repeat customer!!!

Was the WORST food ever eaten. Waiter didn't know the specials, was slow and unattractive. We ordered more bread, or in my case a beer, we had to remind him several times because he kept forgetting. I had to go up to the counter and write down the specials. I ordered the calamari over linguine. The portion was very small even for a lunch portion. There may have been 5 pieces of calamari max (I have NEVER seen such small pieces in my life) and lacked sauce. I won't start on the oil mixture for the bread they serve. Let's just say it was too spicy.

We dined in for the first time at Mama Lucia's last night. (Have had carryout before). The host was immediately welcoming and funny. We were seated where we wanted to, and were immediately welcomed by both the water and bread server and our waitress. Having read that the servings were large, we split 2 entrees and they accommodated us with that - extra plates. The waitress Clara was very knowledgeable and patient with our indecisiveness of what to order - gave us time to choose. We ate the spaghetti squash with Marinara - very tasty. We also ordered the seafood asparagus pasta - loved it, a little pricey but worth it. Plenty of seafood in it and served piping hot. Drinks were brought very quickly. The manager checked in with us once. Our waitress was bilingual (Spanish/English) which was an asset for a family nearby and for her water server helping out. Our waitress Clara checked in with us periodically, but not too much. I want to compliment how naturally friendly and helpful Clara was throughout our dining experience. Unfortunately she only works there 3 days a week. They could use her more. The restaurant was clean both at the tables and bathroom. Upon leaving the host and pizza servers made a point of saying goodbye. I would recommend being served by Clara and you will like the big menu selection. Sadly no room for desert!!!!

Let me begin this review by saying…I have never had the pizza here. But the sandwiches are very good, and budget friendly. I believe most of the menu may be overpriced a bit, but the food I have had has been good, and the staff very friendly.

When my husband and I come here, we have Luis serve us, and he is exceptional! The food is delicious and the service is fantastic! We especially love the sangria that Luis makes for us. His service at this place is highly recommended!!

ALL the Mamma Lucia locations are great! I’m convinced they make the tastiest NY style slice in the DMV—so much so that we pay extra to get it delivered to us now that we don’t live as close anymore. Their pastas are also very delicious, and we always order some garlic knots.

Excellent service great location, deliciously authentic food. I’ll make any excuse to be in the area to eat here. Food first travel well in thin aluminum container and it’s hard to get it back to the quality within restaurant. My suggestion bring your own container and box you food at the table yourself and try your air-fryer for the reheat option. You’ll thank me later 😏✌🏾

As someone from NY, the pasta was all overcooked and most of the dishes were quite bland. If you get a dish with tomato sauce it tastes reasonably good but otherwise you have to add tons of cheese to get any flavor. So disappointed especially considering the price. Anyone giving this place five stars clearly has no idea what they're talking about. Free garlic bread was bomb though.

The food was outstanding. We are eight tourists from the mid-west who found Mamma Lucia's by chance and couldn't have stumbled into a better experience. Luis greeted us at the door and made us feel welcome. He was our server as well. Lots of friendly bantering back and forth. Be sure and try the tiramisu for dessert. Delizioso!!!

The service is attentive but not hoovering. The servers are pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is casual but more important is it is relaxed. No one makes you feel uncomfortable if you sit a longer a bit after you are finished eating. The food is very good, well prepared, nicely presented, full of flavor and you won't leave hunger. The Silver Spring one is our good to Italian restaurant. Menu has a wide variety of pasta dishes that are all good and some are unusual. One can not go wrong here and the price is reasonable.
