Sometimes we are so much grounded to our comforts that we rarely feel the urge to experiment with new food. But thanks to number of Restaurants that have sprung in Hyderabad which enticingly offers cuisines across Pan Asian. Among the various stand-alone and luxury dining options, Holy Basil - The Tru Oriental Experience (part of Radisson Blu, Banjara Hills) is a respite to Oriental cuisine lovers where the taste and authenticity is maintained to the highest level while being extremely polite to our Wallets. It has recently gone a renovation and the transformation is strikingly beautiful. The ambience oozes out energetic and positive vibes. The predominant usage of RED colour, props, and candle-lights adds to the relaxing environment. -Happy customer who loves good food

Amazing place with exceptional service and food. the place was grand and beautiful. we took prawn uramaki, chicken dimsum and Mongolian style hotpot with chicken. the dimsum was the best I've ever had, i didn't personally enjoy the sushi much but it was nice. the main course was the hotpot ofcourse, which was awesome! it was pretty spicy and we were coughing a lot 😂. but the whole experience was such a delight. the staff was pretty friendly and helped us a lot with the food, although I was a little disappointed that we couldn't prepare the hotpot on our own as they did it for us. overall, would definitely go back to check out more interesting dishes from the Japanese cuisine. would recommend!

The food and service is good. But the whole pecking duck wrapped up in a Crunchy veggie wrap isn't something Indian taste buds will like.. As the sauce is sweet. But everything else tastes awesome!

One of the best experiences with Asian food in Hyderabad. Enjoyed the variety of delicious sushi and shrimp hotpot served with rice and noodles. The edamame dumplings were wonderfully soft and creamy and pork dumplings were scrumptious. Udon noodles were very tasty. Chef Sandeep and host Sadiq took excellent care of us and made sure it was a memorable saturday lunch. Looking forward to return again, and again!

Went for a birthday celebration and turned out to be a good choice… food was really tasty and non veg Chinese la ji was enough for 2. Tofu chili paneer was avg taste. Chef suggestions for Lankan curry was great in taste..drinks are overpriced..really 300 for not even 300 ml..overall a nice place to have a great dinner..

We ordered a coconut based soup and it was delicious. We ordered several other dishes but that soup stood out. Tempora prawns was little blend though. The rice in the picture was little sticky and it tastes very good. The chicken was low level tandoori style one.

The place is small but amazing. We ordered a hot pot, hunan fish and sui maie..all three were tasty and came in good portions. Chef Sandeep greeted us and the servers also recommended dishes to us. We topped it when some yummy apple fritters and ice cream, which was nice. Prizes are steep, but is a great place for a quiet date night or a fine dining experience. Hunan fish was the star of the evening. The dumplings are also a must. Thanking Holy Basil. For living up to our Instagram expectations.

Mohini & Vedant helped a lot in choosing the menu & it is an awesome experience. Chef Vikash has also cooked wonderfully for us. The service and food is great.

Pro’s - valet parking for free, 5* hotel ambiance, amazing service, quick turn around of orders. Taste levels are amazing as well. professional cooking and serving. Con’s- spicy levels were more than expected for pad ke mao. Dumplings were slightly torn already by the time they came to our plate. Overall a great find for this pricing when compared to other city Thai outlets.

Since i lived in china for 6 long years i have seen their culture and food very closely. And after coming to India i craved for Chinese food, especially hotpot. And then i came across this place and i am so glad i chose this place. The ambiance was on point, the service was on point, the food was on point. Ofcourse, it didn’t match the taste as 100% with the authentic Chinese hot pot but i was pretty convinced with the taste. I went out with my friends who lived with me in china as well and we all were very satisfied with the food. Our souls were satisfied actually and it was very nostalgic. The way they served and the paintings around matched with a typical Chinese restaurant which was a bonus to us. And let’s talk about the price, it was affordable. When i say it was affordable it means even a student gang can also afford it. And the quantity was enough too. I will definitely re visit this place. And, i would recommend it to my other friends as well. And many of them were very much surprised seeing the hotpot on my Instagram handle😅. Long story short: Try it, you will love it. Have fun.

Very pricy not worth a visit.

Good food and great service, Vedant was such a gentleman and made us feel welcome.

Food needed a bit more attention and service needed a bit less! Taste was not great for avocado rolls and spinach dim sum. Thai green curry w/ vegetables was very well made. Jasmine rice was flavorful. Service staff hung around the table a little too closely for comfort! Overall, was expecting better food for this place.

Amazing food! We were craving Chinese and the food really hit. Chef Thapa and his team Ganesh, tikka and mani created some amazing dishes! Amazing service by Ravindra, who was very attentive and gave us world class service! Thank you holy basil for such delicious food!

We went here to try out a new oriental restaurant and were disappointed. Food was ordinary and the place was ridden with mosquitoes. The order was veg dimsums, a chicken starter, veg sushi and some kokum sherbet. Each dish was either average or below par. The sherbet was too sweet and the insects were rampant. The housekeeping person tried to shoo away the mosquitoes after we complained but it didn’t help. After being well bitten, we decided to not bite into the main course and left.

Holy Basil! Chanced upon this Asian/ Oriental Restaurant on my visit to The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel for their annual cake mixing ceremony. Tried Uramaki Rolls here- Salmon Uramaki, Tempura Prawn Uramaki Rolls and avocado. Their dumplings are melt in the mouth too. Next time I'll try their oriental fare.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. nice food and nice place. kitchen closes at 11pm but the service is very good and welcoming. we reached the place few mins to 11 and ordered and we enjoyed our food and had a good time. there is a bar just next to it, you can also order drinks if you like and they play music . it was good too.

Great place for hang out

Three of us foodies had a Wonderful meal at Holy Basil this afternoon. The Service by Ms April was most satisfactory. She was attentive throughout, well informed on the appropriate Sauces, and liaised with the Chef so that Allergies were taken care of. April somehow managed to arrange, by persuading the Chef and enlisting his co-operation to give us Soba Noodles (on Special request, and not on the menu mind you). The Chef in turn, was equally courteous, making every effort to please the Guest's palates. Kudos to both of them.

Very good restaurant in terms of food quality, ambiance and service. All food items we tried tasted great. Good small and silent place. Being a small place and limited sitting I suggest to book table.

Great place for authentic Chinese food. The food, unlike most Indian Chinese restaurant food, has more authentic flavours, and thus offers a very different taste and experience. The service is really great. The ambience of the place is really good too, but being a small space, it does tend to feel slightly cramped. One thing that stands out is the flavour of the non-alcoholic drinks, they are simply amazing. All in all, arguably the best restaurant in the city for an authentic Chinese meal.

No doubt experince was pretty good.if i talk about food i was quite satisfied with the proper quantity and it was delicious too. Prices are economical.There is few options for combo meal that one can easily purchase from any of the online site platform like easy diner,nearbuy,Bookmyshow etc which are really cheap.Peaceful ambience of the resturant is really relaxing.I would love to visit again.Thank you!

Holy Basil just reopened for dinner. We were greeted warmly as always. Food was great. The dim sums are the best I have had. Service is fabulous- friendly but professional. They go out of their way to accommodate requests. Thank you, Ankur, Kumar’s and Ashok for making the evening special. This is our go-to place to unwind.
