Hello
everyone,
I
hope
you're
all
doing
well.
I
wanted
to
share
my
recent
experience
with
a
cataract
surgery
at
Sri
Netrayala
in
the
hope
that
my
experience
can
serve
as
a
cautionary
tale
and
help
others
avoid
the
challenges
I've
faced.
Last
year,
I
had
a
vitrectomy
surgery
at
Apollo
Hospital,
and
the
next
step
in
my
treatment
plan
was
a
cataract
surgery.
Due
to
scheduling
constraints
with
the
cataract
doctor
at
Apollo,
I
began
exploring
other
options.
Prystne
Care
introduced
me
to
Sri
Netrayala,
but
little
did
I
know
that
this
would
turn
into
a
lesson
from
the
universe
(sometimes
karma
comes
in
the
form
of
Google
search
results).
I
consulted
with
Dr.
Sindura
Devi
at
Sri
Netrayala,
sharing
my
comprehensive
medical
history
and
all
recent
reports.
Initially,
I
hesitated
about
proceeding
with
the
surgery
there
and
began
looking
for
alternatives.
However,
the
sales
representative
at
Prystne
Care
assured
me
of
the
doctor's
expertise,
citing
over
10,000
successful
cases.
To
gain
confidence,
I
requested
another
appointment
with
Dr.
Sindura,
who
assured
me
that
my
case
was
routine
for
them,
and
they
could
handle
it
with
ease.
(Its
just
a
normal
case
for
us)
I
went
through
the
necessary
formalities
and
paid
35,000
rupees
for
the
cataract
surgery,
given
their
assurance
of
using
imported
lenses
(God
knows
what
they
actually
have
put)
The
surgery
took
place
on
July
27,
2023,
and
initially,
I
was
informed
that
everything
had
gone
well.
However,
my
vision
become
zero
from
the
very
next
day,
leaving
me
anxious
and
concerned.
Over
the
next
two
days
they
have
put
5
sutures
(
2
on
day
2nd
&
3
on
day
3rd).
By
the
fifth
day,
my
vision
remained
nonexistent,
causing
distress
to
both
me
and
my
family.
Despite
the
challenges,
Dr.
Sindura
didn't
provide
a
clear
explanation
for
the
situation.
She
attempted
to
instill
confidence,
mentioning
an
air
bubble
that
needed
time
to
dissipate
and
restore
my
vision.
A
week
later,
when
I
sought
a
follow-up
at
Apollo,
I
learned
the
unsettling
truth
-
my
cataract
surgery
had
gone
awry,
resulting
in
a
DETACHMENT
of
my
CORNEA
.
Dr
Sindhura
felt
2
sutures
are
enough
but
failed
again,
so
put
another
three
sutures
&
did
AIR
INJECTIONS
on
Day
3.
I
believe
that
inexperience
coupled
with
overconfidence
can
lead
to
dire
consequences.
I
firmly
believe
that
no
doctor
acts
with
harmful
intent.
However,
the
combination
of
inexperience
in
handling
cases
like
mine
and
overconfidence
(Just
another
case
for
us)
resulted
in
these
complications.
While
Dr.
Sindura
may
have
performed
numerous
cataract
surgeries
successfully,
my
experience
serves
as
a
reminder
that
every
case
is
unique,
and
precautions
must
be
taken
accordingly.
I
share
my
story
not
with
the
intention
of
placing
blame
but
as
a
plea
for
empathy
and
vigilance.
It's
disheartening
to
note
that
DR
Sindhura,
SriNetralaya
staff,
and
even
Prystne
Care
have
shown
no
concern
for
my
well-being
post-surgery.
I
hope
doctor
would
come
to
know
my
eye
status
after
this.
As
the
sole
earner
for
my
family,
I
am
hopeful
for
a
positive
outcome
but
remain
uncertain
about
potential
complications
in
the
future.
I
urge
each
one
of
you
to
consider
the
following
lessons
from
my
journey:
1.
Exercise
caution
with
third-party
agencies
like
Prystne
Care.
Do
thorough
research
and
rely
on
direct
interactions
with
healthcare
professionals.
(prystne
does
branding
&
lead
generation)
2.
Conduct
diligent
research,
as
reviews
may
not
always
reflect
the
complete
picture
(Including
mine)
3.
Prioritize
experienced
and
compassionate
healthcare
providers
who
genuinely
care
for
their
patients.
I
share
my
experience
in
the
hope
that
it
can
serve
as
a
reminder
to
not
take
any
medical
procedure
lightly.
The
consequences
affect
not
just
the
patient
but
their
entire
family.
Let
us
all
remain
cautious,
vigilant,
and
empathetic
in
our
healthcare
decisions.
P.S
As
of
today,
my
vision
remains
at
zero,
an
additional
procedure
may
require
clearing
a
layer
that
is
currently
obstructing
my
vision.
The
medical
team
at
Apollo
has
advised
that
I
should
wait
for
another
1-2
weeks
before
making
any
decisions.
