This place in located in Malakpet which is popular in Hyderabad. But this tomb is not known to people living in malakpet itself. This is the tomb of Michel Joachim Marie Raymond who was Army General of Nizam. And it's said that the place Musarambagh was named after him. Musa is Muslim name and Ram is Hindu name so he was called MusaRam to show religious unity in Hyderabad.

Currently under renovation (November 2020) is a good place to watch sunrise and sunsets. Basically a tomb of Raymond and his horse. After renovation it will be better to see. Full of greenery and is surrounded by some trees (looks like forest). It is fenced well and good safety measure are taken. I don't suggest old people (people with knee pains) to come to this place as it is an uphill. Update /10th June 2023/ This place was under renovation until recently. After it's reopening, I went to visit it with my friends a couple of weeks ago. It's always sad to find out that the place is closed. A person who lives near it has told us to not come here anymore. And that is not a safe place for women and girls. He also said that there will be some people inside, they will climb the gates and go to consume intoxicants. This place before its closure for renovation was very good. It was indeed a powerful tourist site, with majestic history in its soil. But now, it is unfortunate to see it crumble like this. I urge the respected departments and authority to take any necessary action against this situation, and to make sure that this place will become a free-for-all to enter, and a safe tourist site again.

Location is nice..walkway and the site is being developed slowly..a walkway is laid with seating along it..it's not clean as visitors show their decency..nobody inside to check the cleanliness ..though state govt is in control the place is poor in maintenance..there is also nothing written or displayed about the history of this place..lot of improvement needed.. So much garbage thrown in park from surrounding area fencing..stinking

U can see the best look of the entire city from the top of this place , this thing makes special about this place but nothing other special is inside it , now the government is taken charge over it and developing it as a park now , it's. a great initiative from the government but the work is going on still from years, hope it will complete soon. ,many movie shootings are done here , especially telugu movies like JAWAAN and many other short films . Present no one is allowed due to the renovation work is going on !!

This place. has a importance and is connected to a French VIP which generally is not a scenario in muslim rules Kingdoms. This site is practically maintained . It serve vice versa purpose, this is so much disrespectful towards Raymond. Not even a single public toilet built here .. not cleaned and the weeds, plants have taken over this place .... Absolutely sad

There was some construction in progress when we went there. Nothing more interesting other than a tomb. Bushes and flower plants blocking the view of sunset. They are making a runway around the tomb if that is finished it will be quite nice place to spend a peaceful evening watching sunset. Now it's only for kids around it and people who are making short films

Raymond's tomb is the tomb of Michel Joachim Marie Raymond, a French general in the army of 2nd Nizam - Nizam Ali Khan, Asaf Jah II. The tomb, located in Hyderabad, India is a black granite tombstone, conical, about 7 metres high and it has the initials JR on it. Monsieur Raymond was pivotal in setting up the Gunfoundry .There are stories that the place name Musarambagh came because the people of the area referred to him as "Moosaram" which refers to the confluence of both Moosa and Ram.Besides Monsieur Raymond , His dog and his horse were also buried beside him. Very peaceful place amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

This is a tomb which is located a little away from the capital of the state. It is a 7 metre long obelisk that is built in black granite on memory of Jaochim Raymond. He was the general in Nizam’s army. It is 200 years old and is located on the hillock of Malakpet. It is said that after his death, Nizam used to send a pack of cherrots and a beer bottle on his anniversary every year to this tomb. The 200-year-old tomb had a facelift, including a brand new pavilion. Opened 14 April 2003 this cost an estimated 500,000 INR.

It isn’t really worth the visit. However, if you absolutely ran out of things to see in Hyderabad, then head over to the hill to see this monument.

Hope there will be a placard by the archeological department about the history of this place. The architecture is quiet marvelous despite being surrounded by colony. Restoration work is in progress and hope the public will maintain cleanliness as i saw few scribblings on the pillars.
