I booked this hotel for staying during last week of July 2022. The restaurant is good; but the accommodation is very bad; my kid complained that there were cockroaches running inside the room; they informed the reception, but no one came to address the concern. On the 2nd day, we were able to move to a different room (little bit bigger) - but still, cockroaches were still there. So overall - it is a cleanliness issue to which the hotel staff showed least care. So the advice is - go to the restaurant, but never stay at this hotel.

Take some time to read this before you visit the place. Trust me you'd thank me later. So I was here with my family and some guests as they have been telling so much on how it was one of the best places to go and dine back in time. Little did I know that I was about to spoil all of it. We stepped in to the dining area and see that there was dim lighting and one of them happened to go occupy the free table later looking down, the whole floor was a mess. Felt puking. Spoke to the staff and yeah they had to clean painfully. Later we ordered Onion Rawa Masala Dosa and Manchuria. Got the dosa to half the portion of what we might possibly get in any tiffin center where the masala was given seperately in a bowl (Where they had to miss the bowls for few of us untill we asked for which the waiter forgets to get). Well we had to cancel other orders that were yet to come and we left. 🔴 0 Hygiene in dining space, God knows how it is in the kitchen. 🔴 Costly food with no worth. 🔴 Service is not the same. Keeping all these red flags I wouldn't visit the place again. The rest is upto you. Worst hotel ever I came across, in lunch , they refused to give hot water also, they r forcing me to buy bottled water for business. Ordered paneer tikka, the tikka was not even cooked, full of raw masala. They gave onion with fulll unwashed n black it was. Also attaching the pic of guy who served my table, very rude. Drain running in hotel entrance. It was hell.

We had the North Indian thaali for lunch , which was tasty. The quantity of food is perfect, not too much or too little, just enough! One thaali is good for a medium adult. If at all you are unable to finish it, you can ask to pack it up for later. Service was prompt and waiting time is minimum. Happy with our experience.

Just sharing this bad review to share my disappointment with the place i idolised for my childhood. It really lost its charm. My fav dish was either there rava dosa or their rava idli( the only place in hyd that served that dish). Their rava idli died....so don't even try it. Rest are all decent but so sorry my fav place is just an illusion and no reality

Good restaurant for veg options. Tried vada sambar and MLA Pesarattu Dosa. Vada is very big in size. Never had seen such big Vada. 2 Vadas per plate fill fill your stomach completely. Taste is good. But little expensive.

I went to the restaurant to have breakfast. I ordered paneer bhurji dosa but received small paneer cubes instead of bhurji which is odd. But the taste is fine. Eatable. Coffee is very bad. I didn't like it at all.

Best Thalis- I highly suggest the North Indian Thali here. It's at very decent pricing with items refilled when asked. Not to mention it has best taste and ends with most lovely Icecreams by Gelatica. Overall beautiful experience after ages. Thanks team shanbhag

The place offers rooms, banquet halls & restaurants. We happened to visit the place for the banquet hall on the 1st floor. With a capacity of 50-60 people for the 1st floor banquet hall, it's a decent place for birthday parties and similar events. It is a veg place, offers good food, and has options like valet parking.

It's one of the best restaurants for Soth Indian dishes.Families ,children can have a rendezvous with food and enjoy the ambiance.Further the mineral water served goes with brand name .During rush hours there is a waiting time.

A vegetarian restaurant with tasty food. This restaurant is good for the people who search only for pure vegetarian hotel. This restaurant is on main road very near to Punjagutta signal. The menu has lot of vegetarian varieties. Even the restaurant is very busy always the staff tries to serve very fast. Two wheeler parking is available at cellar. Lodging facility is available. The ambiance of restaurant is good. South Indian dishes are excellent.

Terrible restaurant. The service is very slow and unresponsive. The food was also very spicy. Nothing was good in the special north Indian thali except the gulab jamun. Had to leave most of it. They also did not give the ice cream with it as was written on the menu. The thums up we asked for was given towards the end after repeated reminders. Won't recommend.

Just two waiters in the entire restaurant and the front desk executive has no idea on how to talk to customers. The food was average and the cost charged is not at all worth the given food. It's surprising how a restaurant known for its brand across several years had only TWO WAITERS, one hovering around the tables to move chairs and the other carrying all the food alone, to all tables.

Location Excellent. Food Standard good. Hygene. Despite old interiors they still.maintained it attractive. But with the youth not keen on South Indian food, they need to innovate with their menu. Hence low on business now. The employees are seniors working from ages looks like. Each one of them when they retire, could have enough gratuity and PF savings as compared to other restaurants where staff keeps changing. Also to attract the moving crowd (especially the scooters and 3 wheeler passeners) they can reduce their serving size and reduce prices competitively. The serving sizes are too large for break fast , evening snacks. Even now, I felt I ate the best VADA ever. So crispy and thin crust outside and fully cooked inside. Chutneys need to improve. Sambaar is very good std like Shanbagh. Good place for soft food especially all travellers. So that their tummy does not get upset.

Shanbhag hotel is one of the reputed hotels from years. However the mgmt should think about the change to stay for years in competition. Issues : - The printer is not working , you need to wait to complete check in process. Common .. you are charging a good amount where you can purchase a good printer - Only 1 500ml water bottle is provided when you book a suite room for 3 people ( they also charge extra for extra person , however not ready to provide water ) - Rooms cleanliness is good.. however all the furniture is too old and smell .. I even not dare to open the wardrobe .. all the furniture is too old visually - Bathrooms need a maintenance - Towel - I found only one towel ( remember - hotel is charging amount in suite -- the reason provided - PLease adjust, towels will be provided in the evening ( why cant they adjust extra amount charged ? for such a basic facility ? - Parking - HOrrible parking .. looks like you are entering into caves.. the Security person is not ready to get up and tell a person coming from outside.. the -2 parking is full of dust .. water leakage and not recommended to enter with family .. better to ask them to get down at -1 level .. suffocative place Goodness: Family restaurant Location - easy to find and reach to many places in city Breakfast - The Only positive thing I found.. very good delicious tasty breakfast ... to heavy .. We ate Nans and Methi Chaman curry plus Lassi! Taste wise good but not very good! We appreciate the neatness of the hotel! Waiters don't come to us even after a longtime! We have to request them to come! After ordering we have to wait again a lot of time to get served! Hence this inordinate delay is not good! Otherwise the Hotel is pretty good! Some years back they maintained high quality and quantity etc. But it has come down now to some extent!

Taste and quality of food has gone down since pandemic. Food options are limited. But service is quick. Restaurant is almost empty during weekdays. Overall, it is a decent place to visit for a vegetarian meal in Panjagutta region.

Not so properly managed restaurant. It takes lot of time fir taking orders and much more time to deliver. Except ice cream other dishes are just normal. Ice cream was superb

Lot of salt in buttermilk, Butter nan was not cooked properly Grit in Potato vegetable Service is worst. With starter not served chutneys, had to ask for them, With water not given glasses till we ask for that. Sausage were not served, had to ask for that.

Service was pathetic...not given proper food in North Indian thali which we were supposed to be provided as per their menu even after asked for 2-3 times. When we give a complaint lo the manager he was so irresponsible and least bothered. It is better to avoid such irresponsible restaurants.

Stayed in restaurant for Lunch only. Food was little spicy. Service was good. Ambience was nice. Very well connectivity with main road. Cost was average. Not too high & not too low.

Superb food, excellent taste of South and North Indian thali,they are maintaining its from last 30 years,since my childhood I am regular here, at that time I usually comes here with my dad for dosa,still they are serving it

I just had a coffee here and it was very good! Considering the location it's near punjagutta police station road towards GVK mall! The ambience is quite decent for friendly meet ups!

Visited this restaurant on June. We ordered four meals. Initially we were given soup but then it took half hour to for the thali to arrive that too after continous complaint and reminder. The hotel staff is very rude. No proper management. Poor hygiene issues. Waste taste and quality. Miserable conditions. The head management said they are helpless to run the hotel because of lack of people. Went to eat but returned with a huge headache from continous complaining. Over and all waste hotel. Irresponsible staff.

Shanbhag lost its legacy taste, the worst food is what we get now, they served rotten chutney and smelly idly, over all giving 1 star also is waste. Guys recommend not to go to shanbhag anymore, panjagutta branch. Waste of money and time

Horrible is better word than the food that was ordered and received. The food had 3 things 1. Spice like just plain. 2. Oil like you can damage health type of oil and 3. Colour agents or powder to give food the colour apart from this there was no taste or anything in their food. For me I would never go back and recommend to people but if you want to try the food then don’t think about your health. Hope they use this feed back atleast to improve or its a waste.

One of the oldest restaurants of hyderabad and a childhood memory. That's what keeps me going with this one. You guys can do better on taste. Overall a good one.

Quality of food is excellent. Service and location of the hotel are good as well. But cost of food is unreasonably is too high.

Pure veg upscale restaurant serving South Indian and north Indian thalis, Chinese , tiffins, juices et al. Buffet is available. Sweets and hots can be purchased.

Shower does not work properly. Did not get Hot water at 7 am in the morning. Rooms.had strong smell of mosquito repellent. Beds are okay. Staff response was good.

Food quality gone down .. limited staff ..you have to remind them on your order..no glasses, was served cold curries for North Indian thali.. and that too it was the same curry..looks like 1 day old .. If you want a solid disappointment..pls visit here ..

The days of yore are over...this restaurant is highly become old...stuff remains expensive..but taste lacks...too much chillies even in a normal spring roll Dosa...looks like the cook has a red chilly field right behind the hotel.. Average Condition of furniture sort of CCFabric sofas in tatters...

Felt very good with south food, mostly we get tiffin at any time till closes. Though a bit costly, we never feel as its like a costly due to long time spent area with sofa setup, closed area allows us to sit quit time.

Room was okay but extra additional charges in extra har's too costly. We can book one more day. I don't know why they are not taking care for customer. In business aspects and customer satisfaction, They are not keeping repetitions. They want on that day money. This was my bad experience

I feel that shanbaag has lost its quality in food, was not tasting at par with market place, I am disappointed. It should take the best location advantage and improve quality and service. The oriya staff need to be trained in service excellence.

Quality of food is very low . Rava dosa was cold when served. They brought another one. Rawa gods was filled with onions and taste was bad. As soon as I tasted the potato curry I knew that it was stale and smelly. I called the manager and told him . He took me lightly and replaced potato curry. I stood up and loudly told people not to eat the potato curry as it had gone bad. Worst food that I have eaten.

Went to have lunch, but due to non availability of seats they directed us to 1st floor for buffet. We did not have our choice of lunch. Food was ok ok. Seating was good.

Rooms are clean, restaurant is clean. Food is tasty. Very bad service from reception. I felt like they were trying to loot me because I am non telugu. Rooms was overpriced (compared to online). I checked in m by walk in. I had to ask 4-5 times for coupon for complimentary breakfast. Finally I had to be a bit rude for this. I have 4-5 times in the reception for towels since they didn’t provide it in the room. Even after agreeing for each time they never provided it. I saw also people quarrelling in the restaurant during breakfast something regarding breakfast

It was.a buffet .. food is not too spicy, it's a balanced food dishes includes roti, poori, panneer butter masala, veg biryani, rice dal sambar.. papad.. ice cream and more .. definitely we can give a try.. do call them if the serve buffet on that day if u r planning..
