Gulzar Houz is a hidden gem in Hyderabad that offers a unique window into the city's rich and vibrant history. I recently visited this area and was blown away by the stunning architecture and serene ambiance. Located in the old city, Gulzar Houz is home to several historic monuments, including the magnificent Qutb Shahi Tombs. These tombs are the final resting place of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, and their intricate carvings and ornamental designs are a testament to the skill and artistry of the era. The area around Gulzar Houz is also home to several small cafes and restaurants that offer traditional Hyderabadi cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the mouth-watering biryani and kebabs at one of the local eateries. The ticket rate for visiting Gulzar Houz is quite reasonable, with an entry fee of Rs. 20 for Indian nationals and Rs. 100 for foreign nationals. Given the historical and cultural significance of the area, this price is more than fair and is well worth the experience. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Gulzar Houz for anyone interested in history, architecture, or culture. The area offers a unique glimpse into Hyderabad's past and is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon exploring the city's rich heritage.

Gulzar House is a bustling hub, steeped in history and pulsating with the energy of an iconic city. The heritage water fountain adds a touch of timeless elegance, creating a picturesque backdrop for this vibrant locale. The rush of activity reflects the heartbeat of the city, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a genuine cultural experience.

The most historical place around Charminar and very narrow lanes with much more tight traffic. Every thing around Charminar is kind of chaotic and lots of street hawkers making the visit a very tiresome unforgettable experience.

Gulzar Houz is an old water tank in Hyderabad, built around the 16th century. It's called "Lake of Gardens" in English. This place has historical importance and was constructed during the Qutb Shahi period to store and distribute water to nearby areas. It's a serene spot with a rich cultural background, showcasing Hyderabad's heritage. The only demerit I felt was the Autorickshaw heckling and overcharging by drivers can be common issues in some areas. It's essential to negotiate the fare before starting the ride and, if possible, use ride-sharing services like Ola or Uber for more transparent pricing. These platforms often provide a more reliable and standardized fare system, helping to avoid potential hassles associated with autorickshaw rides. However, it's always advisable to be cautious and communicate clearly with the driver to ensure a fair and reasonable fare.

Gulzar Houz is near the historical monument Charminar in the old city of Hyderabad. One can get anything from bangles, beauty articles, bags, hair bands etc.. The place is visited by lot of tourists everyday. The place is famous particularly for pearls, which are used to sell on the roads of Hyderabad during Nizam times. The place is also famous for maggam works and other wedding day dresses. One can have everything for weddings starting from beautifully designed sarees, ghagra, salwars etc.. Cons 1)The place is very much congested and sometimes it is very difficult even to move as the roads are very narrow and almost 75 percent of the road space occupied by street vendors. 2) Getting parking place is impossible in this area. So try to avoid to take your four wheeler. 3) Never took auto here as they will demand exhoberant charges even for the small distance. It's better to walk upto Madina and took some Uber/Ola cab or auto.

Hub for Gold, Silver and Artificial Jewelry's. But be careful while buying the Gold and Silver jewelry’s. The purity is not 916KDM. There’s huge mixing. Not recommended

A wealthy market for jewellery and clothing. You can buy clothes for all age groups. Lots of jewellery shops, pearl, stones, perfume shops are also exist here. There is a great marketplace available for imitation jewellery, factory outlets. You can also shop here marriage related items, ethnic wear. Bank branches are also available. Near Gulzar houz x road there is a fountain in the centre of the cross road. You can also buy make up related items, readymade items. This is the largest marketplace I've ever seen.

It's associated with our historical establishments and is a shopping hot spot for gold, imitation, silver and clothing 😀 a very busy road as it falls in the middle and is a popular tourist attraction which had led to many hotels n restaurants being setup. Many new shops have also opened up in hosiery, home decor, accessories etc. An all in one area for shopping n family outing

GULZAAR HOUZ is situated between Charminar and Machli kaman .. Gulzaar Houz  WAS BUILT BY *Mir Momin Astarabadi Gorgoni* , Mir momin was then the first prime.minister of Hyderabad and was an architect and an Engineer. There goes a story ( A Filk lore ) that the huge chain around Gulza houz was made of Gold . Some people say it was platinum. Gulzaar houz !! Yes is a Land mark next famous to Charminar. Over a period of time .. Gulzar houz was refurbished / renovated several times .. Earlier the fountains of Gulzaar Houz used to work .. But The water doesnt flow in it no more. For Tourist visitng Charminar .. They have to go by walk from Gulzar houz to Charminar . Once ure visiting Charminar .. Its a must.place to buy pearls .. hugee bazaar ... Hundreds of shops to shop around. U can shop for gold .. crockery.. Gold .Silver pearls .. Clothes shows.

One of the best happening places in Hyderabad. It is the mixture of both historical & traditional markets in Telangana. Must visit this place if you are in Hyderabad. But the traffic during peak hours is unbearable. Many local famous foods are available here.

This place is good to visit in early morning or late night. During the day there is too much traffic especially on weekends. There is a minimum charge to visit Charminar 20 rupees - but to see the charminar you have to go between 9am to 6 pm

Funny incident has happened at 12am nearly, there were 4 5 police van's we were new visitors to that place in the late night....we went near to cops and asked is Charminar open for a visit purpose and they called us to come nearby they were already half a dozen people standing over there and they took our photoshoot session in the late night near charminar closed barricades and they said to leave us. We parked our car near to charminar approx 600-700 mtrs clicked our car photo again and made a challan......We travelled all the way from Moulali to charminar for just this Amazing photoshoot by cops near charminar at late night....So I suggest not to visit charminar in the late night crossing 1130PM or else if u dare to go and then dressup well for photoshoot 😊.

The area between the four arches of Charkaman was a vast square called Jilu Khana or the Guard's Square. In the centre of the square was the Char-Su-Ka-Hauz (the cistern of four cardinal points). This was later known as "Suka-Hauz" and now Gulzar Houz. It was an octagonal shaped water reservoir made for quenching the thirst of the Nizam's soldiers. At that time, there were four streams flowing from this fountain, dividing each of the Radial roads into two halves

Highly crowded. Can't even stand it. The so-called famous Charminar has nothing to buy. It only has party wear clothes which are meant for Islamic functions. Too much traffic, restoration is a hurdle, but autos are halting wherever they wish to. I guess mire traffic police should be assigned to this area to clear the jam
