Some 14 kms away from the Assembly Road, on a busy road you will find a narrow sloppy path going up a hillock. You can drive but need to be careful. After a couple of bends you reach the parking space which is enough for a couple of cars and a few two wheelers but has no safety walls built around. There are two stairways; one leads to Chennakesava Temple and the other to Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple. Chennakesava Temple has the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Vishnu (called Chennakesava on account of his beautiful long locks) with a face of Parthasarathy (Krishna with moustache as he drove the chariot of Partha, Arjun). The face of Parthasarathy is claimed to be a Swayambu. Contrary to the atmosphere outside, the inside of the temple, is peaceful and calm. Only hitch is barking dogs, there are almost half a dozen of them and they keep barking at visitors all the time. If maintained well, bushes removed, safety wall built on the parking space and temple renovated at least slightly, this has all the potential to be one of the divine destinations of Hyderabad. Though it is reportedly the oldest temple of the city, its present condition does not appear to be something one can be proud of. The other stairway from the parking space leads to Mallikarjuna Temple, abode of Shiva. At the back, you find steps leading down first to a Shiva Sannadhi and then to Brahmarambika Sannadhi. Of the two complexes, i.e., Chennakesava and Mllikarjun, the shiva complex appears better maintained. Poojaris of both the temple are courteous and conduct poojas which you can see to your heart's content. A darshan at these temples will certainly bring about a peace of mind. Very old temple on the hilltop, svayambhu Swamy. Brahmotsavalu from 03 Mar 2021 to 09 Mar 2021. This is near Chadrayanagutta flyover. Also, oldest Shiva temple is also there. Better to visit in the morning. One can drive near to the temple by two wheeler. Car has to be parked on the main road only.

Legendary temple. It is older than Hyderabad city. It was a stopover for pilgrims on way to Srisailam. Also has inferences that Shivaji Maharaj visited this temple. Swayambhu of Lord Channakeshava. Also has an idol of Goddess Durga which is in a 15 foot narrow cave. Nice place for a quick trek and to unwind. splendid view of surroundings , especially late evening from temple atop.

Located at the hillock of keshavagiri , chandrayangutta . swayambhu chanakesava swamy temple believed to be over 600 years old .. Leaving aside the devotional area in the top of the hill, the view point balconies on the way to the top are worth stopping by and having a look from. The city looks really beautiful and peaceful especially during the night or the evening time ..
