During the Qutb Shahi period, these tombs were held in great veneration. But after their reign, the tombs were neglected until Sir Salar Jung III ordered their restoration in the early 19th century. A garden was laid out, and a compound wall was built. Once again, the tomb-garden of the Qutb Shahi family became a place of serene beauty. All except the last of the Qutb Shahi sultans lie buried here.

Good place to be with friends and family. Its been 11 years since last visit. A lot has changed and the renovation going on in the place shows that the government is working on restoring the Heritage place and attracting more tourism. The ticketing system needs to improved. The counter chargers people for the camera without notifying them that they are being charged. That was little disappointing. The services for drinking water has been discounted and people visiting will have hard time during summer and hot days. Lot of improvements from the maintenance and visitors convenience needs to be done and not sure if I would recommend people to visit and pay for which they are not suppose to.

The Qutub Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad offer a serene and historical escape. Nestled amid landscaped gardens, these tombs are a testament to the grandeur of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. The intricate architecture and detailed carvings on the tombs reflect the rich cultural heritage. Despite being a smaller site compared to some other historical landmarks, the Qutub Shahi Tombs exude a quiet charm, providing visitors with a glimpse into the city's royal past. A tranquil place to explore history and architecture in the heart of Hyderabad.

This is a historical place. There is some maintenance work going on to beautify the place and keep all the old monuments standing the way they were initially erected. It is a nice place to spend an hour peacefully amongst nature with family.

This place is located right next to Golconda fort. There is an entrance fee and there is also plenty of parking space. One should visit here around the evening. Day time tends to get really hot. Although they say they have a canteen inside there is a lack of food option within the premises except for packed chips and cold drinks. There are more than just a few tombs here. Each of them distinct but each of them take us back in time.

If you love culture and history. This would definitely be a great place for that. It has multiple tombs spread across a large ground that it’s never over crowded. A great place for a picnic. For photography but keep in mind they charge you INR 50 for using your phone for photos and additional INR200 for DSLR and videography. Which is first I have ever heard of when it comes to such places in India. It’s a weird is all.

Father and Founder of Hyderabad, Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah. It's in a neglected state. Need to be restored and the due respect given to his tomb and surrounding areas. The government needs to bring awareness of his Highness and educate people about his life, his kingdom and reign.

A good place to visit if you love history and tombs. How people leave their stamp on time even after they depart- and how some stories are left incomplete and some structures half done- even when you're King- lessons in humility definitely. Get a guide. It helps. Take you time strolling around the grounds. There are some great spots for wonderful pictures. Carry water, cap and snacks with you.

Tomb of Mohammsd Quli Qutub Shah is located in Qitub Shahi Complex in Hyderabd which is one of the seven huge beautiful tombs. No where in India one see this many number of tombs in one complex. Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah ruled Hyderabad between 1580 to 1612 AD. Renovation is currently going on. Entire place is awesome. Do visit and see the beautiful-huge tomb.

Most ignored yet most beautiful place in Hyderabad . Was in complete awe with the architecture here and wondered how these were built in day without technology. These are being renovated by Aga Khan foundation and will be brought into life soon and we will be virtually in history.

Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah (4 April 1565 – 11 January 1612) was the fifth sultan of the Qutb Shahi dynasty of Golkonda and founded the city of Hyderabad, in South-central India and built its architectural centerpiece, the Charminar. He was an able administrator and his reign is considered one of the high points of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. He ascended to the throne in 1580 at the age of 15 and ruled for 31 years. Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah succeeded his father Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1580 at the age of 15 years. His rule lasted for 31 years, his contemporaries were Akbar the Great, Jagat Guru and Ibrahim Adil Shah. He faced minor rebellions on eastern and western fronts during the initial years of his rule. He lead the troops himself and defeated Ali Khan Loor and Yashwant Raj. .

Edit The Qutb Shahi Tombs are located in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct), close to the famous Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, India. They contain the tombs and mosques built by the various kings of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the centre of each tomb is a sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below. The domes were originally overlaid with blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces now remain.
