Tourism department should protect this lake well, this lake is very good and huge, superb tourism spot, but water fully bad drainage smell, while going boat ride was feeling like we are on the drainage. You are charging for all tickets even for entry also , daily too much crowd coming from different states and countries too, when you know to charge, why don't you maintaining this iconic property properly? When govt itself not maintaining well, who else ll do? Only charging from public is the main moto of the govt?

My experience with boating on Hussein Sagar in Hyderabad was truly enjoyable. The picturesque lake with its expansive waters and the iconic Buddha statue in the middle provided a captivating backdrop for a relaxing boating excursion. The boats were well-maintained, and the staff ensured safety measures were in place. The leisurely ride offered a unique perspective of the city's skyline, making it a great option for tourists and locals alike. I'm giving it four stars as I wish there were more options for refreshments and some additional informational signage about the lake's history. Nonetheless, Hussein Sagar boating is a must-try activity that offers a serene escape right in the heart of the city.

One of the iconic places in Hyderabad. This was build 30years ago and still it is being maintained well by the Telangana Tourism department. Boat ride to and fro to buddha statue visit is 50/- for adult and 30/- for child. It is worth a visit.

Nice place to to boat and enjoy your afternoon or evening. There are multiple boating options like speed boat (400 per boat max 4 persons, dancing boat(100 per head with DJ in boat), boating till Buddha statue(50 per head) etc. Buddha statue one is the most popular one. You can pay by cash or UPI in 2 different queues. Cash line was little faster. The boat for example in my case, I took Buddha statue package, and took us till Buddha statue with interchangeable lights in the status in middle of Hussain sagar lake. The view was very nice. In return from the statue again some boat needs to taken and return back, but this time no money will be charged.

One of the must visit locations of Hyderabad. Except for the strong stench of the standing water the boat ride experience was very good. Cool breeze, calm water and the Buddha statue and the necklace road. The amazing views of the Birla temple, the Telangana Secretariat, the Conch like structure was quite a beautiful sight. Place highly recommended for a visit when in Hyderabad.

Multiple boating options - Buddha visit, speed boat, dancing boat etc. Common place to buy the ticket. Two separate lines, one for cash and another for UPI. Only the Buddha visit lands you in the small island middle of the lake. Evening esp on weekends there is tons of people. Although there are multiple boats ferrying people, they process is tad slow. Buddha island is decent place to visit, especially in the evening/dusk time. The lake is very smelly. The stench is there throughout the journey. Considering the tourism activity, I wish city needs to invest in the upkeep of the lake.

Lovely experience. Kids will love the ride, choose speed boat β›΅ ride if you are more adventurous else go for the normal mechanised boat which can seat 25-30 people. Mechanised boat leaves you in the small budhha Island and can return using the same ticket. Speed boat just takes you around the lake but cannot alight at the island.

It seems the water in the lake is never cleaned. It was so badly stinking that it was really becoming difficult to enjoy the boating part. However the other fun activity including rides are too good and kept clean.

A very good place to enjoy with family and friends in leisure boat riding @ Rs.50 per adult and Rs.30 for kids. It was a very pleasant journey and a memorable moment with my life partner as we were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. We had a great time in the boat and clicked pics for memories. The next stop was near the mammoth monolith buddha statue and we captured some good memories with few pics. Overall its a very good place to enjoy with family and friends along with kids.

A very underrated tourist attraction in Hyderabad but can be made better. There was a lack of order in maintaining the queues and managing crowd. Also they don't allow to take any personal belongings like bags inside that felt a bit unnecessary. In my opinion they can check the bags like in the malls. Also the food options were limited inside. But overall a nice place to spend some time by the lake although it gets really crowded in the evening.

My view based on recent visit There are various options of boating at Sagar Lake such as speed boats, mechanized boat, Cruise, Dance boat, etc. 1) speed boat, cruise - Doesn't offer visit to Buddha statue. 2) Mechanised boat offers ride to visit Buddha statue which costs 50/adult 3) Dance boat ride starts in the late evening which costs 100/adult, 80/child. Cons: Throughout any ride, you have to bear with the foul smell. (Ofcourse, you guys already know about it).

Activities like boat ride to Buddha statue will surely make your trip awesome. Ticket for the boat is β‚Ή50/- per adult. You have to wait in long queues to get the ticket and reaching to attraction. From here you can get a clear view of Assembly.

A good place to hang out. The place can be better maintained and the eateries can also improve. The Buddha statue in the silent waters with cool view around, no bad smell of water but with lots of mosquitoes.

Very crowded places. The water is stinking and the speed boat ride cost 350 per trip hardly lasts for 3 minutes and not worth of money. The trip to Buddha statue is worth and it cost 50 Rs for adults and 30 Rs for Children above 6 years.

Nice place to visit in the evening. Boating to the centre of the lake to view Buddha statue and the necklace road is the beautiful thing to do. Laser show at 7 pm is good πŸ‘. Weekend holidays are generally heavy rush. They dont allow food items and bags inside. But there are a food stalls for snacks.

The place is very beautiful, the views are amazing, getting the Secrtrate, Bilal temple and Big statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar all in one frame. Only issue is huge lines, but that might be because of holiday season, other than that all the services are at really affordable prices and worth it.

Hussain Sagar is a prominent and iconic lake located in the heart of Hyderabad, India. Spread over an area of approximately 5.7 square kilometers, this lake is a significant landmark that has not only served as a source of drinking water but also as a recreational hub for the city's residents and tourists alike. One of the most popular attractions at Hussain Sagar is the boating experience it offers. In this extensive essay, we will delve deep into the history, significance, and the boating experience at Hussain Sagar. **Historical Background** The history of Hussain Sagar dates back to the 16th century when it was built during the rule of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, the founder of Hyderabad. The primary purpose behind its construction was to provide a sustainable source of water for the city's residents and for irrigation purposes. Named after Hussain Shah Wali, a revered Sufi saint, the lake holds both historical and religious significance. Over the centuries, the lake underwent several renovations and improvements under different rulers, including the Asaf Jahi dynasty, the Mughals, and the British colonial administration. It was during the Nizam rule that the lake saw significant developments, including the addition of the iconic Buddha statue that now stands on an island in the middle of the lake. This statue was installed in 1992, making it a relatively recent addition to the lake's landscape. **Geographical Features** Hussain Sagar is an artificial lake that lies in the heart of Hyderabad, connecting the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is fed by the waters of the Musi River and covers an area of approximately 5.7 square kilometers. The lake's depth varies, with the maximum depth reaching around 32 feet (10 meters). Its unique shape resembles a heart, and it is often referred to as the "Heart of the World" due to its distinctive appearance when viewed from above. The lake is surrounded by a well-maintained promenade that provides breathtaking views of the water and the cityscape. The Necklace Road, which encircles the lake, is a popular destination for evening strolls, jogging, and picnics. The lush greenery and well-manicured gardens along the promenade make it a serene and tranquil spot amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. **Significance** Hussain Sagar holds immense significance for the people of Hyderabad. It serves as a crucial source of drinking water for the city, contributing to the daily water needs of thousands of residents. Moreover, it plays a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance in the region by serving as a habitat for various aquatic species and birds. The lake also has religious significance, with several temples and shrines located in its vicinity. The Dargah of Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali, after whom the lake is named, is a revered place of worship for both Muslims and Hindus, showcasing the cultural and religious harmony that Hyderabad is known for. From a tourism perspective, Hussain Sagar is one of Hyderabad's top attractions. The picturesque setting, combined with its historical and cultural importance, draws visitors from across the country and around the world. It is not only a place to relax and enjoy nature but also a hub for recreational activities such as boating. **Boating at Hussain Sagar** Boating at Hussain Sagar is an experience like no other. The vast expanse of the lake provides an ideal setting for various types of boating activities, making it a popular destination for both tourists and locals. The boating point, located near the picturesque Necklace Road, is where the adventure begins. *Types of Boating* There are several types of boating experiences available at Hussain Sagar: 1. **Pedal Boating:** Pedal boats are a favorite choice for couples and families. These boats are designed for leisurely rides, allowing visitors to pedal their way across the lake at their own pace. The gentle rocking of the boat and the cool breeze create a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. 2. **Speed Boating:** For those seeking an adrenaline rush, speed boating i

Good spot for boating in the lake. Some renovations are going on inside the Lumbini park. Boating area is not maintained well. TSTDC should ban plastic bottles within the lake area as people are not going to stop littering. The lake is such a beautiful spot but people should make an effort to keep the city and nation clean! Speed boat price for 4 members is 350. Decent ride but too short.

Public boat enlightening Lord Buddha statue is good and economical. But the speed boat is very costly compared to the time duration. Also there should be facility to drive the speed boat by passengers along with guide at this price instead of guides are driving..

We took 50 rupees boating. It was good. They will take you to buddha statue. And we can go in other boat after seeing buddha . Buddha statue was so beautiful. Climate was so good. It was raining when we got there. There was sufficient seats in boat. No bad smell from Lake. The lightings on road was so beautiful. It was crowded when we visited buddha. Some uncle's were commenting on girls when we were taking pictures. It looked bad for me. I didn't like it. One woman was asking us can we go in other boat after seeing buddha? So we said yes other than the boat we got into before seeing buddha.

We went to Hussain Sagar Lake at night for boating. Our trip was enjoyable. One of the highlights was seeing the Buddha statue. We stopped there for about 15 minutes. We enjoyed the serenity and returned in a boat of the same capacity. During the evening, there is a lighting ceremony at the Buddha statue, which looks beautiful. There are boating opportunities in Lumbini Park.

A nice place to visit with friends and family. You can have a seat just beside the Hussain Sagar, have some coke and puffs and enjoy the evening over a good gossip, you can also take a ride in the motorboat or cruises, which have some more options for enjoyment. And they have some rides too. And ofcourse the cherry on top is the water-laser show which doesn't cost much and is a superb experience, almost makes it quite the moment.

Not so fav, but an evening with loved ones under some crazy lights can feed your nostalgic craze. 20rs. the entry fee and thereafter you can think of spending 100, 350,500 and so on depending on the boat type you want to roam the empty waters with your loved ones. I will ask you to click pics to satisfy yourself but not spend much more for inner happiness. Get a sketch artist and help out yourself for something which stays. My idle place but not so much .
