A splendid place, that's filled with historical background that dates back to the Qutb Shahi Kings. The structure is one of the oldest structures in the city. Being almost as old as the Charminar itself. And has beautiful ceramic tiles inside it.

Built in 1594, this is perhaps one of the oldest structures in Hyderabad second to only Charminar. What separates it from other monuments is the level of intricacy in the tile work of innermost hall. The founder of Hyderabad Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah built this Ashoorkhana with a lot of love and devotion towards the holy grandson of Prophet Muhammad and his progeny. This has been taken care of by the family that's currently in its 10th generation.

Badshahi Ashoorkhana is an iconic and historic structure located in the bustling locality of Dabirpura in Hyderabad. The ashura procession, which is one of the most significant events in the Shia Muslim calendar, starts from this grand Ashoorkhana every year. Built in 1594 during the reign of Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah, the Badshahi Ashoorkhana has stood the test of time and remains one of the most important landmarks of Hyderabad's rich cultural heritage. The architecture of this structure is truly magnificent, with intricate carvings and calligraphy adorning the walls and ceilings. The Ashoorkhana also boasts a stunning dome that adds to its grandeur. Inside the Badshahi Ashoorkhana, you will find a large prayer hall where visitors can pay their respects and offer prayers. The atmosphere inside the mosque is serene and peaceful, and the mosque is regularly frequented by locals and tourists alike. One of the main attractions of the Badshahi Ashoorkhana is the annual Moharram procession that starts from here. This event is a sight to behold, with thousands of devotees taking part in the procession and paying their respects to Imam Hussain. The entire area comes alive during this time, and it's an experience that visitors to Hyderabad should not miss. In conclusion, the Badshahi Ashoorkhana is a must-visit for anyone interested in Hyderabad's rich cultural heritage. Its stunning architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and historical significance make it a truly unique and special place to visit.

Baadshahi Ashurkhana is the second oldest heritage structure of Hyderabad, built just after the construction of Charminar started. This place had illegal encroachments within the campus but the caretaker fought a long legal battle to get rid of the encroachments. Well maintained and works to conserve and restore the heritage still going on.

Very peaceful Shia Ashurkhana it is an absolute architectural marvel Historically Badshahi Ashurkhana – second oldest monument in Hyderabad. During the Qutb Shahi period, fourteen 'Alams were installed in the 'Ashur Khana, which were made of gold and studded with Jewels. The Dhatties of these 'Alams were of Zarbafti cloth extending to a length of fourteen yards, The Ayats (verses) of the holy Quran were knitted into them to enhance their beauty.

One of the finest extant examples of Qutb Shahi religious architecture, as well as Persian-inspired Deccani incised tile-work walls. Unfortunately, the lower panels were damaged by floods and subsequently painted over to replicate patterns, although the upper ones remain intact.
