Absolutely fantastic experience!! Created an entertaining and creative experience for everyone. Hilarious team who are dedicated to providing the best service. Got everyone involved with the story and no one was left out. Highly recommend going. Took one bottle of 70cl to share between four people.

Absolutely mega experience. Didn't know what to expect going in. Massive props to the whole team for their commitment to the performance. I won't spoil anything in this review but if you're looking for a one in a million unique drinking experience then book here. Had an amazing time at Alcotraz Manchester. The prison guards, the warden and the prison inmates were great fun, very entertaining and can honestly say haven't laughed or smiled so much in ages! Cocktails came thick and fast! I couldn't actually finish them! Such an amazing experience highly recommend! Officer Wilma and Officer Gilly and inmate Cassidy were brilliant!

One of the most incredibly unique and immersive experiences I’ve ever done! Highly recommend visiting. You smuggle in your own alcohol passed the warden and the lovely mixologists make you cocktails based on your likes and dislikes with your alcohol. There are actors (who are superb btw) playing another inmate, a warden and two prison guards. They’re hilarious, keep you on your toes and get you involved in tasks and storylines which really immerse you from start to finish. I haven’t laughed that much in ages. The perfect place for a group trip.

Amazing experience from entering to leaving, staff, atmosphere surroundings all made it the perfect occasion. I recommend everyone looking for a fun interactive night books this you will not be disappointed x

I booked Alcotraz for my partners 30th bday. We didn’t know what to expect but I thought it’s something different! Let’s do it. It fully exceeded anything we thought! The actors were amazing! And funny. It’s not just sitting in a cell drinking, it’s like watching a theatrical performance at the same time. We went fully into character. Which the crew must take full responsibility for as we didn’t have a plan to do that! Just want to thank you all! I’m useless with names and have forgotten them all already! But warden, red, the convict and the guard you were outstanding!

We came here on Sunday and paid for the higher package and I would say don’t bother! You get a mug and a bag of sweets you don’t get any better interaction! It’s 100% worth going and paying for the £30pp but don’t waste your money going for the higher option! We did have good fun but unfortunately we personally don’t believe we got our moneys worth! Go for the cheaper option!

Amazing experience! Drinks were great but the stars of the show have to be the Warden, prisoner Cassidy and Officer Wilmot!

An amazing theoretical event! Went for my birthday as I'd been told it was good, I was still surprised by how much fun it was!! The cocktails were great and the actors were amazing. We only managed to make them break by what can only be described as a perfectly timed burp from one of my friends. Overall an amazing time was had from everyone, The Acorn ;)

Initially I was abit skeptical about this due to the £40pp price tag and you have to bring your own alcohol. I couldn’t have been more wrong, the whole experience was 100% worth the money. My girlfriend and I had a great time at Alcotraz, all the staff and actors were great, so polite and the actors are great at their jobs. They never broke character once! The cocktails they make especially for your taste preferences are great as well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I came here for my hen party there was 16 of us. It was so funny really enjoyed ourselves. The cocktails were really nice but some were very strong. I would definitely go again the only thing is it wasn't long enough I wasn't ready to go.

Can’t recommended Alcotraz enough! Was recommended from a friend and it was the highlight of our trip to Manchester. The actors were incredible, they get everyone involved and not once did they break character even if you challenge what they’re saying! Cocktails were lovely, different to what I had ever had before and such a wide range of cocktails available. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Manchester!

Me and my girlfriend went to Alcotraz in Manchester for her birthday. We had an absolutely fantastic time ( although I was terrified for most of it ). Would 100 percent recommend the staff ( inmates ) are fantastic and make you feel at home with being a convict. A different experience but a fabulous one all the same. The drinks are amazing !!!!!

Had a fab time here yesterday with my mate Katy. The actors were brilliant and we laughed from start to finish. It’s proper decked out like a real prison and loved the jumpsuits, we felt like a right pair of little miscreants lol! We left nicely drunk on a Sunday afternoon so the drinks kept on flowing. 100% recommend!

Had zero idea what to expect but Alcotraz really exceeded all our expectations. It's more of an interactive show really. The actors get you as involved or not as you like but after a few of their (delightful) cocktails made with the alcohol you sneak (bring!) in with you then you're more likely to get involved a bit more. Great fun and all round brilliant experience I would highly recommend to everyone. Lots of good photo opportunities too.

This was such a fun experience - would definitely recommend. We still had our baby (Russian Standard) at the end of the experience. It’s very entertaining and interactive! The actors involve the guests, which is fab. Would recommend & would go again soon!

It was ok. We ordered a cell but they tried to fit us (a couple) in with a family of 4 which just wasn't feasible so we ended up on the outskirts. The show was good, but at times some of the 'abuse' was a little personal. (Weight shaming) Cocktails were great and all the staff worked really hard.

Absolutely Amazing! Didn't really know what to expect but it certainly surpassed any expectations I did have. Performers were all superb and got everyone involved and the cocktails were SUPERB! And I mean utterly SUPERB! 10/10 and cant reccomend this highly enough. Well Done to everyone who made this concept and brought it to Manchester

Honestly hands down the most fun I've had in a long time... Never thought I'd look forward to going to jail again because without a doubt will be visiting again. Staff were absolutely faultless and never dropped character.. and as for the bar men.. sorry 'chefs' the cocktails A.K.A 'soup' were amazing.... Another would be waiting just as I was finishing my current one... I can't recommend anymore. Thank youuu.

As an introvert who isn't used to interacted with big groups, this activity is VERY acceptable for those of us who get anxiety - you'll be asked to nod a couple of times in your group and put your hand up when your name is called after the initial entrance roll-call while the rules are explained. Cells could seen a little tight if you're claustrophobic or in bigger (3+) groups or if you're on the larger side, but the staff are VERY good at guessing overalls/uniform sizes so you don't feel embarrased about asking to size-up in front of strangers.

A truly unforgettable experience. We came to Manchester for a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and Alcotraz exceeded our expectations. The actors were just incredible.... I think.... I can't quite remember as the drinks were even better! Can't recommend this place more for an exciting and unique night out!

Absolutely unique and amazing experience, actors were incredible. They stayed in character the whole time, even when someone shouted something rude at them. They dealt with it quickly and effectively. Worth every penny! Lovely cocktails.

A group of 4 of us went here in Saturday and it was great! They staff were very professional and excellent actors. The routine was well timed and not too corny, everyone was laughing and having a great time. We took in a 70cl bottle between us and we got 16 drinks out of it and the cocktails were great! Would 100% recommend and go back

It was a great night, the actors were very good! However, I feel like it could've been slightly more theatrical like including inmates a bit more and sneaking the alcohol in a bit more difficult. Would deffo recommend this experience though

Great night, I took my girlfriend last night and this was worth every penny, it was probably one of the best nights we’ve done. The acting is great and the drinks made were really nice, couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Really upset with what happened. We were booked on the 7pm and they'd asked us to swap to half 9 because of a full cell. So we obligingly did, discussed what alcohol we liked that they gifted us for the trouble. Then when we turned up at half 9 they said they'd changed their minds and swapped us back to the 7 and had told me... I found an email that I didn't see from the day before asking if it would be ok to swap back literally hours after they confirmed our alcohol etc for the 9.30pm show. I obviously didn't respond having not seen the email, and they didn't even try and contact me again or ring or anything. Then the manager had us waiting outside while she let everyone else in only to be told no we can't go in and she can't say we'd get a refund. We spent 50 quid on taxis each way specifically to come to Manchester for this experience and were so looking forward to it but just shocked they handled the whole thing badly. I finally got a message from the owner this morning offering to refund it finally. But really left a bad taste how it was all handled by them last night. Since writing this review the owner has kindly refunded the tickets and transport costs. It's just a shame we missed out on the experience itself.

This is a MUST when visiting Manchester! Had such a good time from start to finish. The staff didn't break character once, which made the experience very immersive.
