■德川ミュージアムは、千波湖東岸の閑静な邸宅地、水戸德川家の邸宅に隣接しています。曲線を多用した建築に、どこかバウハウス的なモダニズムも宿しています。時代を先へと進める斬新なデザイン。昭和50年代のモニュメントでもあります。常設展は、ボランティアの方の説明を拝聴しながら、あっという間に2時間が過ぎてしまいました。今回の特別展は｢刀剣プロジェクト｣。大正12年、大正大震災で被災した水戸德川家伝来の名刀を復元した経緯と成果を展示したものです。2018年、人間国宝の刀鍛治の名匠の手により、｢太刀
児手柏｣と｢刀
