We had a wonderful day here with the best 3-4 hour hike in a long time. There was always something new, of rare beauty around the corner and the elevation and rocky path made it anything but dull.

Amazing natural resort. So much beautiful places: mountains covered with a snow in the beginning of July, lakes between volcano craters, hot river where you can swim for free, a lot of hiking trails. You can reach park only using f-type roads, it’s allowed to drive on it only with a big 4*4 car, because you’ll need to force few rivers and drive off-road. It’s totally free to visit and to drive there.

It is difficult to reach this place(Qashqai was so so). We did a great about 3 hours hike. There was lots of vulcanism over there - smoke arising from mountais, sulphur etc. In the end we enjoyed a great bath in warm springs. I would do that once more without a doubt.

Absolutely amazing place. Great hikes. The colors of the mountains sure stunning as is the view from one of the mountaintops. I would tell you which one we climbed but I am terrible with Icelandic names. After your walk you can have a nice soak in a natural heated pool. Quite busy in summer though.

Great park natural with good options in the camp ground. Stsrt point to the Laugavegur trail and other trail.options. A must if you visit Iceland

Breathtaking scenery, highlands of Iceland. For Experienced trekkers.

Magical nature and a wild experience with driving up. Totally worth to go but make sure to prepare well and have a 4WD vehicle. The place reminds me to nothing but Mars and at the top the view is crazy. There is also a five days hike path but a lot of preparation is needed.

Stunning. There are no words to describe this place and photos do not do it justice. I passed through it on the Laugavegur trail. The scenery changes constantly, from thermal vents, to volcanic fields, to rolling rainbow mountains. It really does have to be seen to be believed.

Iceland is a rock covered in yellow moss. There are virtually no trees. There are streams everywhere. After hiking, I wore 3 jumpers in the evening sitting outside. This was in summer. It is exotic at 66 degrees north and interesting to visit as a tourist.

Breathtaking and the most stunning landscapes - it sometimes feels like a different planet. Wonderful 4 day hike!
