We were quite unlucky with the weather so was a waste of 13000 ISK each. It became windy very quickly so within 45 mins of starting they shut down all the lifts for the day. Something to bear in mind if you're a tourist going for a 1 day rental. It's obviously a tough job for the staff to predict and work around the changeable conditions but felt they could have been a bit more transparent and realistic about the unreliability of the skiing before selling us the passes. They said they might have to shut the higher black and red runs later in the day, but no mention of the greens and blues potentially needing to be being closed.

Great ski resort with all necessary facilities including ski rental, restaurant / bar and shop with necessary gear. Road from Akureyri can be little but slippery so make sure you have winter tires with studs. Open till late hours and lighted. 200m above cross country for those who like a bit of change.

I can't rate it for skiing, since I was here on June 29, but the view of the fjord from the parking lot is magnificent.

The views are breathtaking, the staff very nice and it's beautiful to ski here. My only comment would be regarding the lifts, I felt they are slightly slow - it does definitely slow down the experience, which is a pity as you want to be able to make the most of the day.

Super close to downtown Akuyari. Not expensive and has a small, family ski resort feel.

Must go to place when you are in town. We took a lift up to the mountain, the view was amazing! A lot of people doing mountain bike riding too!

Wet snowfall in August. Beautiful views.
