Absolutely loved our stay, and will stay again next time we are in Iceland! Such sweet hosts, who make a fantastic breakfast and coffee! The rooms were comfortable and clean! The bathroom had everything we needed, and was very clean as well! They filled the hot tub up for us, and we definitely got our use of it! Such a unique and nice hot tub! I definitely recommend staying here! From an all organic breakfast, homemade bread, chocolate, and pie! Also they have a very sweet cat, they brought him inside, because I had spotted him the day before!

First choice when staying in the area. You will find everything you need here. The hosts are super nice and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the shared bathroom is well equipped and also very clean. There's a great, hot garden pool where you can relax in the evening and the breakfast is a special treat. Also the 1x6 is close to the city center if you are looking for dinner or groceries. It is located close to the sea shore, so you can enjoy a great view at breakfast to start your day.

Hosts are very polite, thoughtful and made our stay feel at home. I had great fun chatting with Andy and Yuki. The rooms are very clean, spacious with many beautiful and cute decorations. It’s a treat just to look at them. It’s a pity we only stayed one night, but we walked around the town a little bit, and enjoyed the beautiful sea view. It’s this kind of place that make you feel traveling brings you surprises. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice stay near the airport. We will definitely come back! Many thanks for your hospitality.

Such a warm, welcoming space. Extended our stay almost immediately on arrival. Andi & Yuki made us feel truly cared for & the breakfast was one of the best of our travels. Great recommendations for dinner, too. Wish we could rate higher than 5 stars!

What can I say that hasn't already been said, this place is a gem. Andi & Yuki are amazing hosts and great cooks, the breakfast is amazing! The rooms and decor are both quiet, private, and beautiful with a local touch, not to mention they have their own geothermal hot tub in the backyard. They we're so accommodating and helpful given our last minute reservation and we're always looking out for our best interest and comfort. Thank you for a phenomenal stay, Toni & I really had a good time and such a pleasure to meet you both. Best wishes and hope to see you guys around next time we're in Iceland!

Amazing, best place we stayed in Iceland. They were amazing and friendly, and helped with info/Airport drop off, and just generally fab people. Also the place is brilliant, arty design (town is also fun to walk around with lots of painted buildings). Also a lovely hot tub in the garden. Shame I didn't stay for breakfast, heard that is also fab - I would def stay there again when in Iceland.

This guesthouse is in walking distance from the airport but actually deserves a lot longer stay than just the first or last night in Iceland. The hot Onsen pool in the private yard is a great addition to the lovely guesthouse. And the hosts are out of this world. Yuki makes the best chocolate and cookies and Andi made us killer coffee early in the morning before he took us on a sightseeing tour all the way to Amsterdam!

Just slept here a few hours, no time for breakfast and pool. Would personally not book a room with a shared bathroom. This said, that does not minimize the positive impact this stay had on me and the overall great experience. After the airport canceled my (and all other) flights for the day, first thing to check for hotels nearby. The walking distance was doable and wanted to act fast to book a room for the night. Calling in and... I was immediately offered to be picked up, this saved me so much trouble and was a big relief. Arriving in the room the ambiente was fantastic. Given the situation both hosts did their utmost to help me and all other stranded customers with everything they need. Sorry on my behalf for the short night of sleep to the owners, since my new flight left early the next morning. But can't thank you enough for everything you've done to make this bad situation so much more bearable. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom is modern, the whole building has a great design from the inside. (Had no time to pay attention to the outside) The service alone deserves 10 stars. Thank you.

We loved everything about staying at Guesthouse 1x6! The whole place is so beautifully built and cared for. There is art everywhere, sculptures in the garden, murals on the wall, and the tile and woodwork of the house itself. The hosts are wonderful. They picked us up from the bus station after we returned our camper van, and made us fresh coffee at 5am before driving us to the airport. Everything was very clean and well thought out, all of our needs anticipated. There were also nice personal touches throughout, for example the homemade chocolates in our room, and a homemade cookie shaped like Iceland accompanying our morning coffee (both delicious). Also my favorite feature was the beautiful stone geothermal hot tub in the backyard. It was so fun talking to the other guests while soaking outside after the day of travel. The whole place feels like an experience in itself. I would highly recommend, we would have loved to stay longer and hope to go back one day!

The best stay of my entire Iceland adventure. A clean room, cozy hottub, delicious breakfast (and coffee!), and wonderful hosts — what more could you ask for? The guesthouse itself is unique and full of character, and Andi + Yuki went above and beyond to welcome us in and ensure we had a comfortable stay. I will 100% be back and plan to visit the guesthouse any time I’m flying in or out of KEF.

Absolutely beautiful guesthouse, friendly owners, which were helpfull with everything we needed. Breakfast from local food, also very tasty, unusual and nutricionally balanced. Highly recommending to visit hot tub, it is very relaxing, especially after long flight like we had. Giving 5/5 and hoping we will visit again as soon as possible.

We had a delightful stay with Yuki and Andi at the 1x6 Guesthouse. They clearly put a great deal of thought into every detail of our experience, making it welcoming and unique. We somehow failed to make it to the Blue Lagoon (despite dozens of friends telling us we must go), but we were quite happy to find that Yuki and Andy’s backyard contains their own little lagoon. Their home has the kind of quirky, beautiful decorations that all homes should have. They also made the logistics very easy, helping us save money by taking the public bus to their address, and offering an additional taxi service to a flight that was earlier than any flight should ever be. Thank you for everything, Yuki and Andi! We will be back.

I stayed here 1 night before going home from airport. The last day of my honeymoon trip and we had a very good memory. Andy and Yuki welcomed us with very tasty coffee and some funny toys. I like the way they talking to guests which let me feel like we are friends immediately. The room was clean and the hot tub was very nice (even during raining). I hope we will have a chance to go back again and spend longer time there. YiChou LU

The beautiful pool, a delicious breakfast, lovely individual rooms and two wonderfully charming hosts make this the best guesthouse in Iceland. We have stayed here 4 times and will be coming back!

This is a wonderful place to stay! Andi and Yuki are worth it alone, but the cozy accommodations, the best coffee in Iceland, and the Hot Pot put it over the top. Location for arrival or departure day is perfect, but you will want to stay longer than one day.

What a gem! First, upon booking the information we received in emails was thorough and timely. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Andi and Yuki, who showed us our room and the amenities. Beds were comfy, linens crisp, chocolates, cozy bathrobes, and towels. Andi recommended a pizza place that we could walk to, and they even gave us a discount for staying at 1X6. The breakfast the next day was out of this world, not to mention the entertaining discourse with Andi that morning. He wisely advised us to get to the airport early, which we so appreciated once we saw the lines at British Air at the Keflavik Airport. Guesthouse 1x6 is so conveniently located to the airport.. next time, we will spend more time here. Thank you Andi and Yuki... Emily, Julie and Nicole (the princess!)

Beautiful little bed and breakfast, cozy rooms, hot tub is amazing and we even saw the northern lights while we stayed here! There's also an amazingly cute cat, and Andy/Yuki were super friendly and kind :) Shared bathroom is maybe not for everyone, but it's really not a big issue and is kept very clean - hosts promote everyone being conscientious towards the other guests so it should be in good condition when you need to use it! Rooms have all the bits you need for your stay (and they even have good tea which is always good to see for a British person - rest of Iceland only seem to have Pickwick's which is..not great)

What a beautiful end to our honeymoon in Iceland. Andi and Yuki made us feel welcome and comfortable in their incredibly unique accomodation. The location has a stunning view from the kitchen and the pool in the garden was an added treat. We instantly felt at home and we didn't want to leave!

Andi and Yuki are warmest and friendliest hosts; the breakfast and coffee are great. They made our stay magical, hot tub was awesome…. Andi even made an itinerary for our time in Iceland. I cannot recommend it more.

The service here is excellent. So kind and friendly. They make you a coffee in the morning and they can come pick you up or drop you off at the airport The room is beautiful with tea and a kettle and a bathrobe to use going out to the hot pool

Absolute pleasure to stay at this guesthouse. Andi and Yuki were warm, funny and very welcoming. With thoughtful personal touches throughout our 1-night stay, from a cozy warm pool and homemade chocolate, we could really feel the love and care from the hosts. Worth more than a single night, but the perfect way to wrap-up a memorable trip around Iceland!

A really lovely place! We (family of five) stayed there for our last night in Iceland since it's a very convenient location close to the airport. We loved the personal touches (we were welcomed with hot chocolate and homemade chocolate truffles and found origami cranes on our beds), the owner were super friendly and nice and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests in the hot springs tub in the evening. Big recommendation!

I stayed just one night after the flight, but this is one of the best places during my trip. The hosts are super friendly and the room is so lovely. I will definitely choose to stay here again for the next time in Iceland and want to try the hot bath!ありがとうございました!

Wow. The reviews certainly don’t lie! Andi and Yuki were fantastic hosts and the place was beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and Yuki is a fantastic baker! All of our questions were answered we were given suggestions as to how to spend our time. The guesthouse is in a fantastic location that is peaceful but with a few bits to see and do! We will definitely be returning and we have recommended 1X6 to all of our family and friends! Thank you so much Andi and Yuki!

😠 The rooms are perhaps the smallest I've ever seen at a hotel. Shower is also extremely small and shared by numerous other guests. The female owner is confusing and aggressive, always shouting out rules like it is a jail or youth hostel. Typical overpriced, substandard accommodation you find in Icela...

👍👍 The perfect place! We stayed there because we arrived to Iceland at 4:30 AM and just needed a bit of sleep. The host was there to greet us so very early and the place was simply perfect. Warm and cozy space, snacks and breakfast stocked in the fridge with tea and coffee. Perfect for a space near...
