I had a great experience here! The pizza was outstanding. I love that crust! I went with something I’ve never had before… The wild goose pizza I believe it was the #1… Please don’t ask me to pronounce it as my Icelandic is extremely poor. Anyways every beer I had was outstanding even styles that I don’t find particularly that great. The service was extremely friendly! I can’t wait to come visit the city again next year because hands-down I will come back to this establishment! Great job guys!

Positive: The place and it's atmosphere were very inviting. I've really enjoyed the choice of different homemade craft beers. The taste of the two pizzas we've had was good. Negative: Unfortunately the size of the pizza wasn't worth the price. In addition the crust of both pizzas we've had was burnt. We ate them nevertheless exept for the absolutely carbonized crust parts, as it would have taken too long to order new pizzas, due to the fact that it was quite crowded. Before we left, we were asked if everything was fine. The Response we got, after we mentioned our experience was: "Yea we know, it happens with this dough sometimes". Very customer friendly restaurants might offer you a refund, a drink on the house, or something similar. Even less customer oriented establishments, should at least be capable of a simple "we're sorry". But maybe that's not how things work here... I have to say, that this wasn't the first time we faced a non customer oriented restaurant on our Iceland trip. The lack of competition seems to leave traces unfortunately.

It's an amazing place with its own brewery in Egilsstadir where you can taste some different beers, and guys are lovely. I recommend it

It’s connected to micro local brewery “Austri” located in East Iceland, Egilsstaðir. They offer a variety of local pizza and a lot of variety craft beer. Atmosphere is relax.

Very delicious pizza with a thin crust, to die for Camembert bread sticks, good porter beer.

Shockingly good pizza with some nice heat. Get the flight, or just try their wasabi IPA. Staff was really friendly as well.

Amazing! Pizza and locally brewed beer, what more could you ask for? When we got there they told us that there would be a little wait for the pizzas to be ready so they gave us a tour of their brewery while we waited! Everyone was super nice and the food delicious! If you are looking for a good place to eat in between stops of your road trip, don’t think twice, this is a great option.

I'm so glad we decided to come here! My partner and I were spending the night in Egilsstaðir. It was a Saturday and we were torn on whether to stay in or spend some time in town. Eventually we ended up at Askur. The atmosphere of this place is fantastic, but what we really loved was the personable staff working here. We chatted a bit with the head brewer, and our conversation was so fun and interesting. Not to mention the fabulous drinks he made us. Put this on your list of places to visit in Egilsstaðir!

Really friendly staff coupled with some very unique brews, a calm atmosphere and a pizza place next door (opens late March). Plenty of board games, 8 tables for groups and a couple of lounging chairs as well. They have TV and music and a dart board. Cool place for a brew.

As others have said, great local beer and pizzas. What others haven't said is that there is a 50% happy hour discount. 650isk for a 400ml beer.....

The service was a tad slow but other than that, the food was great. We had the pizza and cheese bread. I would go back again.

Great local brewery - make sure you get here for happy hour - 50% off a few of the beers is a steal. Pizza is also delicious and very reasonably priced!
