👍 Simple and straight to the point. A good way to get started with the Guanches culture. More natural materials in the life depictions would have been appreciated. People often mention museum,

Really interesting and well made museum! Included in the price is an audio guide in 6 different languages. If you are interested in the aboriginal people who were living in Tenerife before the Spaniards came, then you should pay a visit here!

Perhaps I'm not interested in history enough... But nice stories you listen to in your chosen language and at your own pace. A bit dark inside so in some places it's hard to see all the figures. Still, it's a good presentation of how places would look back then. I wouldn't go again and don't recommend it to my adolescent daughter. But glad I went.

Interesting museum which showcases the history of a lot of the Canary Islands. The staff is extremely kind and caring and very knowledgeable about the subject of the museum.

Visited today. The best museum I have ever been to. Literally. Yes, it's fairly small, but the attention to detail and the fact that you get a tablet and headphones with your ticket (which is only €6 by the way!) so that you can listen to the pre-recorded audios taking you on a journey back in time, is just great. It takes only about 30 minutes to visit this place, which is perfect. When you approach a certain exhibition, you click on the corresponding number on the tablet provided and it plays an audio telling you more about it. Fantastic experience! 😉 And there's a place to leave your hat at the reception too, so that you can fit the headphones on your head and don't have to carry the hat with you 😂

Saturday 29 January 22. Museum closed. No explanation. The website says it should be open.

Small museum that will teach you some basics about the live of Tenerife's indigenous population. The exhibition stops suddenly at the topic of their extinction. No word about how the spanyards colonized the Guanche population and how they tried to form resistance. Very colonial perspective.

Private museum with many reproductions (good quality) but very superficial media and explanatory material in general. Only good for kids and school or very simple learning needs.

A nice short tour with lots of information. The audio guide on a tablet was a nice touch and kept the kids interested.

Went years ago and it has still left an impression on me. When I'm next in Tenerife I will 100% be visiting again :) If you're interested in palaeontology or anthropology then this should be on the top of your list.

I recommend this educational experience to people of all ages. The staff were great, the location is amazing (and you can use the knowledge learned there to later impress the locals). All in all highly recommended.

Excellent compact exhibition an easy bus ride (bus 363) from puerto cruz.Well curated, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and the audio carry round is a must to take in the information. Makes you want to know more, so buying the museum book is a must!Recommended for adults and younger.

👍 Really like this beach… local, tidy, tranquil, almost always good conditions to swim. 3 restaurants, one of them (amarca) really good. Just pity to see the cheap looking high-rise appartment blocks which spoil the magic…

👍👍 Amazing place!!! Was welcomed by one of the owners who took from his precious time to explain the history of the family owned winery and show me around their mini botanical garden. Overall an amazing and very educative experience!! If ever in Icod de los Vinos do visit and your expectations are sure...
