Amazing building both outside and inside the building. It’s quite unique and still modern since 70’. Some of the robot inside the building was broken like kingkong without head. It would be nice if someone can explain in English. Most visitors are local. It would be nice if staffs can explain in English. No photo allows inside but, there are some photo booth inside for you.

My 2nd time here at Expo Park and the Tower of the Sun still look as amazing as ever. I attended Pokemon GO Fest 2023 here and had the opportunity to explore the entire park on foot. In the summer, this place stands out because of the blue skies and photography is the best during this time. You can also tour inside the tower, but you need to make a prior booking.

Impressive monument with great surroundings! One of the best decision we've made for this trip. The park is well maintained and has an enjoyable ambience. Unfortunately, they don't sell many options of fridge magnet.

A symbol of Osaka, the Tower of the Sun sits in Banpaku Kinenkoen Expo Park. The interior of the tower has been restored and features a history of the design and building, alongside a psychedelic evolution of life. Well worth a visit.

This park is beautiful! I was here for the Pokémon GO fest and this was the entrance to the park from the monorail! This thing is just massive! A must see in person. The park is also across the street from a giant mall in case you need to cool down. The park has a few restaurants as well where you can grab some food, drinks and you can cook down.

It has a huge park. wow! I visited this place in the morning but it turns out that the opening hour is at 9 am. For adult, we need to pay 260 and 80 yen for the children. I think this park is perfect for family who have kids. The children can enjoy to play at the park or open (free) outbound is also available. Museum is also available here but it has separate fee. As well as the tower of the sun (if you want to enter). I went to the Observation tower. It is a bit scary for me because I went there by myself (actually I went there with my friend, but we explore by our own). But ya, it was fun! This place is also perfect for couple who wants to enjoy nature in the center of the city, cause it also has small waterfall, river, stream, and etc.

This review is specifically for the Tower of the Sun Museum. I have no quarrels with the rest of the park. It was lovely. First, let me say that the Tower of the Sun, and the Tree of Life inside are beautiful works of art. I love Okamoto Taro and enjoyed the work itself. Upon entering I was told by multiple staff that photos were only permitted on the first floor. I indicated to them that I understood the rules. When I reached the stairs to go up to the second floor I had shut my phone and put it away in my hand at my side, in order to follow their photography rules, but I was then stopped by their staff and asked to put my phone away INSIDE my backpack. He waited on the stairs until I had done so. When I got further up the stairs and encountered other (Japanese) people, I noticed that they had phones and cameras slung around their necks and very clearly had not been asked to put them away inside their backpacks as I had. The staff clearly assumed that because I was foreign, I wouldn't be able to be respectful enough to follow their rules, even though I had done nothing to indicate anything but compliance. It seems like a small thing, but it was racist and I couldn't enjoy enjoy the rest of my time there because of it. It seems funny that a museum in honor of a work of art that was created for a World Expo, in which people of all cultures are supposed to gather in harmony would be such a racist place.

A must if you have the chance, pictures cannot portray how grand this is! If you are planning to go here, see if you can enter the actual statue as it is reservation only. There is a little museum inside! Any time of year is great here and it is a spectacular sight. I would not mind going more than once if I could!

Iconic tower of Osaka, nearest JR station to this place is JR Ibaraki. If you plan to visit inside the tower, make sure you made reservation and purchased ticket atleast one day prior to the visit, you will also need to pay extra to use elevator. No English guide nor narrative. And it requires strong stamina to walk up to the tower

Tower of the Sun was built as part of World Expo 70, which was held here. Most building was tore down after the half-year festival, but the tower was to be preserved in the future. You can now go into the tower, the restoration completed, for the first time in 48 years, 19th Mar 2018. You will understand the history of the post-war development of the country.

The Sun Tower is very large and can be seen from far away. It is a bit outdated, but still interesting and impressive. Unfortunately, we could not go inside, it was already sold out for this day, so better book tickets in time if you are interested. The huge and spacious complex around it is very impressive, very clean.

This was a nice place to visit, unfortunately going up was not an option when i went, but there are other sites within the compound to visit. For example it has a fantastic jungle gym for children. Entry for adults was 280 yen, i think children are 80 yen… students and elders also get a discount.

A tour of the tower’s interior requires advance booking, I recommend doing so online, it’s easy, quick, and there’s English support. I was quite surprised with the interior of the tower, it showcases the various steps of evolution from microorganisms all the way to the age of the dinosaurs and then the Neanderthals. I believe it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Magnificent! So worth it. Original. Fun. The grounds are stunning. Lots to see. So use their camera cover so you can take pictures in all floors. Wish I did!

Awesome monument, and great park overall. Spent many, many hours exploring, particularly the left side of the park. The tower was much bigger than expected - so an interesting suprise. This area as a whole is a great place to go as a tourist, I would recommend if visiting Osaka.

A great place to visit on a sunny weekend in order to get a glimpse of what a former World Expo site can look like. I will be back to visit the museum and might give it 5 stars.

The place that came out on Crayon Shinzzang! There is a large shopping mall in front of you, so it is better to avoid weekends because there are so many people. And it's really scary at night... Be careful ☺️

One of my favorite places in Osaka; emblematic symbol of the City of Suita. The inside tour is really cool too; even though some of the figures are getting old, it is still 100% worth visiting!

Such an amazing experience The gardens are beautiful and going inside the tower of the sun is a must do experience. I also recommend paying the extra 500 yen to be able to photograph inside the tower!

I was visiting Osaka and had seen the Tower of the Sun in various art works, and there was a figure of it at our hotel in Osaka. I was curious and did some research, and found out that it was created by Japanese artist Tarō Okamoto for Expo 70’. I used Google maps to navigate there via subway and monorail. It is a very impressive structure, larger than I expected it to be. I purchased a ticket online to venture inside, this was very impressive. Inside is a setup called ‘the tree of life’ - a journey of evolution / life toward the future. Photos are only allowed on the first level, no cameras as you make your way up stairs - this is strictly enforced. It was an awesome experience, it’s beautiful. The exterior is in need of some care and restoration.

Best thing I saw in Osaka. The tower is absolutely huge and took my breath away :') Didn't even realise there was the gorgeous psychedelic art installation inside, couldn't believe I just happened to stumble into it. The surrounding park is one of the most tranquil places I've visited, would recommend packing a picnic and spending a day walking around and checking out all the art, galleries and gorgeous green spaces it has to offer.

I went there with no expectations, not really a museum type. But people who I told about the planned visit were excited. From the outside I didn't understand, but once I went inside and began to understand the concept was about the history of evolution and that all the stages were on a tree... including a whole brontosaurus, it blew my mind. The tower itself is an engineering feat also. I regret not paying for a cover to allow me to use my phone, I really wanted to use my camera.

As we know the Autumn Fair is now undergoing there now. Reddish and Yellowish leaves are at their best. Now is the time to visit without hesitation. Large scale memorial garden would make you enjoy all day long. Photographers are discerned everywhere, but take best care to the visitors not to interfere their way if you invite tripod, especially the cart pass with infant. You might visit there afternoon in case you want enough light source on the waterfalls. Several food shops and drink machines are prepared, also toilet. Wheelchair users are available. Fee, 260 yen for an adult.

Jaw-dropping art piece that will make you glad you saw it. I recommend paying to enter the center of the tower and climbing the stairs for the full experience.

👍👍 It was a mountain road on the way to go. It's not difficult to drive because it is well maintained, but I thought I could go on a normal road, so please refer to it!
