(Translated by Google) London National Gallery Exhibition. Since you can see Van Gogh and Vermeer, many people said that they had admission restrictions even on weekdays. I was happy to see Velázquez and Murillo. (Original) ロンドンナショナルギャラリー展。 ゴッホやフェルメールを観ることができるため、入場制限を設けているとは、平日でも人は多かったです。 ベラスケスやムリーリョなども観れることができて満足でした。

One of my favourite places I visited on my trip to Osaka and the best museum. Entry was only like ¥500, totally worth it. They lifted the houses directly from their original locations and you can go inside and walk around. Lots of cool artefacts and a nice English explanation in front of each house. They don’t just have houses, there’s also a tea house (you can do a tea ceremony there), kabuki theatre, and a plum garden. Went on Feb 19 and it turns out they were holding a special event promoting tourism in Nagano. We sat in the Akiyama, Nagano house and had a little presentation and tried some local snacks (tomato juice from Akiyama, amazake, mochi). They also sold traditional sweets at the gift shop after and they were delicious!

On a beautiful day, the museum despite having few houses, you can see that they are unique and were built so as not to disturb nature… it is well worth the visit, especially if the day is beautiful!

Very interesting place. The staff are nice and speak basic English. I learnt a lot of Japanese culture from them. However, not much resting places and you need to walk through the park to get to the museum. So, Try not to go in a hot day.

A fun place for family and friends. I highly encourage making your way up to the North end of Osaka. It’s near enough to Umeda so not too out of the way. It’s a fun place to see what old Japan looked like in different places and times. It’s great for tourists and was not crowded when we went. We also bought some local art!

Visited today 26th of November 2022, it was a very pleasant visit. The surrounding park is beautiful during the Fall, and the farms are remarquably displayed. Superbe garden ! Take your time to walk arround, some houses contain ancient daily life items. It gives a good overview of ancient customs and rustic lifestyle. I advice to read a bit about Edo period, countryside architecture and japanese lifestyle before to go, to boost your understanding of the museum since texts refere a lot to it. We got a booklet in english at the entrance, most of the signs insite are written in japanese, so it was good to have some infos about every house. We stayed over 2 hours, worthit 500Y entry.

Interesting, quaint little place which is refreshing devoid of tourists, and in fact any other person at all. Exbibits olden homes of japanese peasants, with some houses open for exploration. Slightly lacking in english explanation, but most of the exhibits should be self-explanatory. Museum is a 15-20 min walk from the nearest station, so be prepared. Entrance fee 500Y. Your mileage may vary, but more or less an interesting place to spend an hour.

(Translated by Google) It is a national museum in Nakanoshima. This time, I have been watching the London National Gallery exhibition. Monet, Renoir, Velázquez, and Ultimate were able to see Van Gogh's sunflowers in person, and I was overwhelmed by the powerful works even though I was not familiar with art. The number of people was limited by dividing by hour, but it was still full of a huge number of customers. However, alcohol disinfection and temperature measurement were solid everywhere, and the measures were perfect. The restrooms seemed to be scattered in various places, but there were few private rooms. I wonder if women are the same. There was a line up to the aisle on this floor as well. I also hope that the signs are a little easier to understand.

Exterior architecture of this museum is very unique in addition to it being underground. Great permanent collection and an interesting exhibition on hand during my visit. Definitely worth a visit if you have an hour or two to spare for the arts of Osaka. Cafe and shop inside as well as a free locker room for baggage storage, a media room, and a baby feeding room.

The Japanese Folk Houses Museum in Hattori Ryokuchi Park is an architectural and cultural museum that relocates and exhibits typical 'minka' houses from the north-east to the south of Japan. Minka refers to the houses of the common people. Most of the houses on display here are farmhouses. Due to the long length of the Japanese archipelago, the climate differs greatly between the southern and northern parts of the country. As a result, the shapes of minka and the construction methods used vary greatly from region to region. In this minka garden, visitors can compare and learn about these regional differences. Minka is not very decorative, but you can feel the Japanese view of nature in the primitive and elegant appearance of the wooden structure.

(Translated by Google) Make a reservation just before admission. I entered at 11:58 in the frame from 11:00 to 12:00. Waiting time is within 5 minutes. Perhaps because it was near the last day, it was an impossible crowd for me in the Corona disaster. It may be unavoidable considering that it is a National Gallery exhibition, but I was scared. .. .. However, the measures were taken firmly. A meticulously reconstructed collection of old farm houses from all over Japan. The buildings are presented in a beautiful little forest at the north end of the much larger Hattori park. All the major signage has English translations and there are household and farming implements on display in several of the buildings. The museum is a very quiet affair perfect for a 1-hour stroll on a Sunday afternoon.

My favourite place in Osaka!! The place was empty, no tourists, so it felt like our own private village. The staff were super friendly and used all the English they knew to explain everything to me - and anything else my Japanese friend helped translate. We spent maybe an hour sat in one of the houses by a fire speaking with the old woman who worked there. And the old man in the Shirakawa house told me about the history of the building, the family that lived there, and the silkworms they raised. There are many different types of traditional houses to explore in and out. We easily spend 2~3 hours there - and I'm rarely at a place more than 30mins!

This is really worth visiting. When I was there were so few visitors hence I could take my time and enjoy the farm houses without the tourist crowd like the other tourist places of interest. One can enter the old houses and enjoyed the space. This is children friendly museum. If you are traveling with Children, nearby there is the horse riding Center I believe it is open to children because it is part of the Hattori Ryokuchi Park.

This place is very quiet and never thought that its exhausting to follow the map and visit the Japanese old farm house one by one. There is several ceremonies (Tea ceremony, etc) by months that you can come and plants that you can see by the seasons.

What I love this museum is the way they can connect the Japanese artists or culture to the art of the world, e.g.the current exhibition on Giacometti and his encounter with a Japanese philosopher en visite to Paris. And foreign students can also enjoy a discount! The restaurant inside offers good quality Western food at a reasonable price, the most set being 1500yen.

I like the architecture of this building, and coincidently visited the Impossible Architecture exhibition by accident. The exhibition was well laid out with architectural models and informative about the architect's ideas of their buildings. Too bad I couldn't take pictures to make it more memorable.
