I have been to this urgent care before when I had strep. They took good care of me then. So when I wasn’t feeling good this week I wanted to go to them again. What I'm dealing with is something that I’ve dealt with for years. I just wanted to come in and have my vitals checked and make sure everything was okay with me. I'm a patient person so I didn't mind the wait and the lady at the front desk was nice. The nurse took me in and was also very kind to me. I waited in the exam room for a while. When the doctor finally came in I immediately felt like I was a nuisance to her. I tried not to overthink it because I'm sure she has her issues that are contributing to her behavior. I don't want to get into the details of what she said to me because it's very personal to me. I will say however, the way she spoke to me was incredibly insulting and I was shocked that there are still doctors with her mindset. I felt so invalidated and awful when I left. I try to be understanding to healthcare workers because I'm sure they're pretty burnt out, however the way I was treated was unacceptable. I was disappointed and I don't think I want to come back to this place.

This is the 3rd time I’ve come to this facility for an urgent care issue. Every time I’ve had an excellent experience and felt that I’ve gotten excellent care. The staff are professional, friendly, efficient & caring. This last visit I was able to get an online appointment right away, which was great, and I was seen almost immediately upon arrival. The previous two times, I was a walk in and had to wait a little while—which was expected—but I had excellent service. I have liked all the staff I have interacted with there. I feel very comforted knowing this urgent care medical facility is here. It has earned my trust.

Please do yourself a favor & go to another location. The front staff was very nice but the doctor does not care about what you’re saying. Only about getting you out of the room to finish her work day. I left in tears feeling like I was not properly taken care of. I have been to the Towson location & they are way better. I need to be SO CLEAR on how much I felt pushed to the side. Black women are constantly not being heard in the doctors office/hospitals & im sick of this treatment. DO BETTER.

I scheduled an appointment to be seen Sunday morning at 8am. I received a text confirmation and arrived early around 7:50am. Closer to my scheduled appointment I walked to the doors. I tried opening but it was locked. I assumed the employees would unlock the door at 8am which their business hours clearly state on the door. I waited til 8:10 am. No one came. Lights were on and cars in the parking lot. I am in pain the whole time wondering what is going on so i start reading reviews on this place and realize what a mistake it was to come here seeking medical care. It is beyond unacceptable of your employees not to open up the doors at the time of the business opening and in addition to a patient having a scheduled appointment. Negligent, lazy, unprofessional and a complete disregard for people who come here in pain and suffering seeking care from supposedly medical professionals. I left and decided to go to EXPRESS CARE ON WILKENS AVE. I cannot highly recommend them enough. I walked in and registered and was seen withing 15 minutes and was suspected for lupus. I was in so much pain and so grateful to be taken care of by professional medical professionals. Go to EXPRESS Care. Don't put yourself through this ordeal. I attached pictures of the parking lot which shows employees cars are there and in addition to the text confirmation of appointment and the VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TEXT EXCHANGE LATER THAT MORNING NOT APOGIZING OR TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THIS SITUATION AND ON TOP OF THAT SENDING A LAST TEXT LYING AND SAYING THEY CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT AS REQUESTED. WHAT A JOKE. SHAME ON YOUR BUSINESS AND EMPLOYEES. HIRE PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY WANT TO DO THEIR JOB AND BE CARING MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS .

NP Callahan was one of the most compassionate practitioners that I have ever met. She understood my condition and treated me with kindness and concern. I was very pleased with her service.

Did a Fantastic job! Went in sick with a severe migraine headache from constant coughing, chills, no appetite, aches and pains in knees and all over my body. The Intake staff was very helpful and professional regarding the paperwork process, the nurse was very helpful who tested me for COVID-19 FLU and the doctor was great giving me the proper medication to stop the severe coughing from my BRONCHITIS. The test came back positive for the Flu and the doctor also provided cough syrup and bronchial inhaler too. She was very helpful. I would highly recommend Medstar! Keep up The Good Work!

Very professional environment and the care and courtesy were from the days gone by . I appreciate all that I had experienced from the great registration assistance , to my vitals being taken, to me being shown to the room to await the attending physician, and the actual young Lady that was my Practitioner/ attending Physician was very professional , courteous , clear in diagnosis and polite in explanation Please keep providing that standard of excellence, In the age we are currently living ,it is a Rare commodity Thank you Med Star

I have to say the staff was awesome, from the receptionist to the medical assistant. But after that I was not impressed with the care I received from the nurse practitioner. I felt that I wasn’t a priority for her. She didn’t validate my concern or give me a full exam . Both prescriptions were not called into the pharmacy. It’s very frustrating dealing with Medstar. You can never get an urgent appointment because your own Dr. is booked. So you are told to go to urgent care, who then barely treat you properly. And if you try to make a follow up appointment because you are still sick, you’re told to go to urgent care again! Or told to do a tele health visit, what good is that when you need someone to listen to your chest and actually look in your ears?

I twisted my ankle over Memorial Day weekend. The whole staff was professional, conscientious , and kind. MedStar did their best to make me feel comfortable and help ease my pain. I am so thankful that they helped me through a painful time.

Last October is the first time I used Medstar Urgent Care for a very bad cold. This time I went back for an animal bite. I was so impressed with cleanliness, and the staff, and their constant wiping things off. The politeness of the staff is very good and doctors listen to you. Oh, they have a TV with a great channel to pass the time.

I didn't think the doctor today show compassion , very cold i was trying to tell that my back was hurting and she told me to follow up with my primary care doctor l was very disappointed because I waited in the room for about 20 min before she came in the for room 5 min just to tell me that everything was OK i felt she brush me off .I could had went somewhere else . The young lady who took my vital was very caring and polite. She might have to show that doctor how to treat her patient .

Super slow service. I came in and I made a reservation to be seen on that day. It wasn't very busy but my visit took several hours. I came in with a back injury on the job. They don't separate the sick and well patients. Everyone on staff was happy and laughing but not really doing their jobs 110%. If you can find a better place ... Go!

Showed up early and they got me in a few minutes before my appointment. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, took time to answer all of my questions and make sure I had everything I needed before I left. I truly felt seen and cared about at this place, even though my visit was brief.

My visit was great, the doctor I saw was very respectful, answered all my questions to my satisfaction I have forgotten his name but he is a NP and of Asian descent. He is really good, I would like to see him again if ever I go back, but I pray not, I don’t want to be sick again. The overall experience was great

We had a great experience today at this Urgent Care Center! The staff were caring, friendly, and understanding to our needs. Wait times can be long, even if you reserve a spot, but they were efficient as possible while providing quality care, and that is most important! I'm very pleased with the medical care my daughter received today!

Overall my experience was positive. I made an appointment at 1:20 and was seen shortly after arriving. My vitals were taken and I was shon into a room. I did have to wait 1 hour in the room, but I think that’s pretty standard for urgent care. The NP was great, quick and efficient.

From the time I entered the facility staff was extremely helpful I had a time completing my registration online. The Lady at front desk was so helpful and patient she gave me paper forms to complete. By the time I was done we were called to the back as I was getting my vitals taken two other women came and took my grandkids to the back to start assisting them. Everything was explained in details this was the best staff that I have encountered. I would truly recommend Medstar to anyone that needs to be seen.

The place you never want to go to but if you do it was a positive experience. I was greeted by a very polite and nice receptionist. I didn't have an appointment so I thought my hour and a half time there was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place over their local competition.

Surprisingly it was a really good experience. The wait wasn’t too long and the staff were very nice and discreet. They didn’t talk to loud and they smiled lol. To me that makes a big difference . 10/10 highly recommend

I was seen in a reasonable amount of time - the P.A. Was very apologetic for the wait. P.A. Was very nice and sent me to an ER anyway, since he felt I needed a scan and was unable to do it there. Overall, much better than my one experience at Patient First. Staff was all very kind and empathetic. I didn’t realize until I sat in the waiting room that lots of people appear to use this facility for their general practitioner services; in other words, a regular doctor. They walked in having an appointment. This seems like a sad commentary on our medical system. I’m

My visit was very much appreciated. My first visit at this Catonsville location. I arrived at the end of the evening before closing time. However the staff were as kind, professional, and helpful as if I were the first patient of the day. At point of entry the registering staff can make all the difference in how the rest of the visit can go. They were extremely helpful and patient and at times a little amusing. I was very comfortable and felt safe. The attendant resident was very professional completely informative and just as patient though. I hope I never have to go again health-wise, Though if needed I will always choose them first thank you MedStar Catonsville you're the best. 💗👍

I experienced excellent care and customer service from the time I entered the office. The entire team was friendly, detail oriented. I was registered in a timely manner, triaged and taken to a room. My provider was friendly and knowledgeable. She listened and catered to the reason for my visit. I frequent this location and they never disappoint. They earn 5 stars every time

I had stopped at another urgent care closer to where I lived, the closing time was in 10 mins and they told me they were closing early! What? How ridiculous. I then drove a few blocks and saw MedStar. It was 7:59; they closed at 8 and i jus took a chance..the door was open. The front desk staff to everyone I saw after treated me professionally, and with kindness and concern. Practically anyplace else at closing time, people could be rude because its the end of their work day,but im grateful i had a great experience.a huge thank you to the Staff at the Balto Natl Pike location

I was so impressed with MedStar Urgent Care! The facility was extremely clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable! I really liked that I was able to reserve a time before just walking in. Dr Brown was wonderful! She ordered xrays immediately upon looking at and pressing on my swollen ankle. I walked out with a CD of my xrays, a shoe/boot fitted by a caring tech, an explanation of my problem, and instructions. What a pleasant t experience! Thank you, E. Waxman

They were all very nice and very much helping. They had three patients who required emergency treatment hence we had to wait. It is obvious they also would not know how long we will have before Doctor would see us. We did not want to wait so we left. My symptoms were such it could be treated next day.

Really friendly but I had what I feel was an urgent issue that could have been handled more quickly and wasn’t . I had rings stuck on my finger that everyone commented how fast it swelled I expressed pain and still was in the office 40 minutes before they were taken care of getting vitals and waiting before even attempting to take care of it or examined by a doctor photo attached was 15 minutes waiting .

My husband and I both came after positive covid tests. The staff was very pleasant, the exam thorough and we were able to start taking our medication for treatment.

Everyone was so kind and willing to answer the questions that had me filled with anxiety. I felt safe with them like they were on my side. Great place when you need to get ready for a big operation coming up and need an ear for your fears. Love 💕 this place!!! My name is Carol Scholtz and I am a real patient.

I found all the staff at MedSTAR health urgent care to be kind, caring and efficient. I walked in without an appointment and was seen within 10 minutes. The staff listen to my situation and ran appropriate tests. The techs and nurse practitioner who helped me were professional and made me feel at ease while they performed the tests. Since my primary doctor is a MedSTAR doctor he was able to see the tests results the same day. I had a very positive experience at this facility.

I bought my son in last night, the wait was long but i expected that coming into an urgent care . . . The whole staff was amazing especially the front desk person. You could tell employees were exhausted but they still were still nice & pleasant not only engaging with me but also my son. I’m so glad i waited Sara was also AMAZING!

I scheduled an appointment on its website at 2 am because earache, I got a spot for 8:40 am, I arrived at 8:30 am, waiting for at least 1 hour to being called, finally a person called I thought it was a nurse or nurse assistant but it was a radiologist who took my vitals, I read on his ID card that was hanging on his top. I know it’s hard to find workers and we have to teach staff to do what they are supposed to do, but without saying words of what he is gonna do he took my temperature pushing the thermometer to deep on my ear, he apologized but would be nice from staff to explain to patients what you are gonna do and maybe ask permission. Waiting another half an hour for the Dr. to see me the office was dirty, dust and hair on the chairs and floors. PA was nice, but it only took 2 minutes to do the physical examination and using the same disposable otoscope specula that first used on my infected ear, she also used to check my other ear that is sane and brought the bacterias from one to the other. She left her contaminated gloves on the desk when the trash can is right there. I’m saying this because as patients who are paying for a service, deserve the best. Not only for me but all the patients that visit that place. You all can do better, thanks!

Medstar Urgent care in Catonsville is amazing! From the moment I walked in, my interaction with the young lady at the front desk was very professional, welcoming and warm. The triage nurse was amazing at well, she was very kind, and professional. Then, when I was seen by the nurse, she too was amazing! The fact that she was a good listener and answered my questions happily was wonderful, as that is my favorite type of medical provider. She also took time to tell me the details regarding my condition, and how the medication she prescribed me was going to work. I loved my experience at Medstar Urgent care. From the time I arrived to the time I exited, which by the way was very efficient, being as though I was sick and just wanted to get back home to rest/sleep. Thank you guys for everything, you all were great! My meds have kicked in and I’m on the mend one again to great health!!😘😘😜😜

Been sitting in this place since 11:30am for a 11:40am appointment! It’s 1:55pm and my son has not been seen yet. This is my second time visiting this urgent care and the last time the wait was just as long. This will definitely be our last visit and I’m switching to a different health insurance. This is unacceptable what’s the point of making a appointment and walk ins are treated before A APPOINTMENT.

If I could give negative stars I would. I went to this Urgent Care location as recommended by an acquaintance - for a strep test: made an appointment for the following day at 9am. All registration was self-completed, virtually ahead of the appointment - scanning my insurance and license cards, etc. When I received my Statement of Services, there was a $401 charge for being a new patient. So even though MedStar provided NO registration services or ANY services relative to setting up me up in their system, they still charged me more than double of what the actual services were [strep test and Covid test]. What a scam. There was ZERO mention of these charges when initiating the appointment. I will not be back for any services within the MedStar system - no provider should be able to charge that amount of money for doing literally nothing. What a disgraceful system. UPDATE: MedStar contacted me to work through a solution regarding my above experience. Though it took several months, I appreciate the dedication and care of the customer service staff member assigned to this - she tracked down the appropriate people (during the summer season of vacations!) to helped me navigate. She was professional, courteous and genuine. This speaks very highly of the organization. MedStar responded with reducing the fees to a very reasonable total. I have updated my review for these two reasons!
